The 4th down play, executed properly
RoyBatty is alive replied to The Firebaugh Kid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Excellent, not EXACTLY the same play with one HUGE difference. Yesterday we had Isiah McKenzie split out wide left, he goes in motion, stops right behind Allen and they hike the ball. What Isiah moving did was have the covering CB on him follow him RIGHT to where the play was being developed. Also in the first play that worked, they moved the TE to the right of the line trying to sell the fact they were going to run and the QB (11) did a better job at selling the run as well. Two huge differences but the motion by Isaiah was really what helped blow it up. -
Miami barely beat New England.

Bingo. How often do the Pats have three turnovers, not very often. -
Week 2: Bills at Dolphins

That is all he is, a game manager. He was just good enough for a wine against a three turnover Patriot team (which hardly ever happens). He managed a 79.8 QB rating and Mac Jones outplayed him. On his one interception, he apparently dint have the arm strength to heave it out of bounds and he threw another ball for an int which McCourdy dropped. He also took way too much time and took two bad sacks. -

There is a reason why the Dolphins wanted Deshaun Watson so bad. -
Wow, relax. He/she is jus repeating a very common oft repeated comment about Lamar. What does MVB stand for?

Texans organization too inept to try and capitalize on all their RBs, Give you an idea as to how inept, their kicker has been hurt for a few weeks and they had to have Justin Reid, a safety, doing kickoffs last pre-season game, he wasnt bad by the way. But they knew the kicker was hurt or at least dinged up a few weeks ago, it was until this Monday they brought in kickers to to try out. Now their kicker is officially on IR. The pats have a spare kicker on their PS, think the Texans would have thought of that? You think the Bills would be this sloppy?

they need to talk to the Texans, they have 5 rbs and are going nowhere this year.

Week 1: Steelers at Bills
RoyBatty is alive replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good point. I looked up JuJu Schuster average yards per reception, he had averaged 13.9 his first three years, last year it plummeted to 8.6. So yes Big Ben throwing it quickly (and short). We are really going to be able to compress them offensively. Run, Run and short pass....punt. -
Week 1: Steelers at Bills

Looks to me like the Steelers are going to have a few rough years ahead of themselves All the teams in their conference look to have the future rock star franchise QBs, amazing the drop from being considered one of the best teams in the NFL a mere 10 months ago. Now they have an aged over the hell QB they have to replace. Put Ben's age in context, he is the same class from the one and only JP Losman. IMO they kept Ben one year too many, this will make it 2 too many. They missed a heck of a QB class. -
Week 1: Steelers at Bills

So Ben had little time to throw the ball last season and his O Line has major changes and arguably one of the worst lines in the NFL. Doesnt seem like Big Ben going to have much time to throw. -
We would have an incredible defense, could have stars at every level, D line, linebackers and secondary is packed with 3/4 of the legit top players . And Epenesa as well, he could have a breakout year

I got A GOOD chuckle out of that and you are spot on. Keep in mind I wrote I dont like the Texans (long story starting with the playoff game and the incessant JJ Watt screaming in the stadium) And it is nice to not be nervous about it at all. I hope as well Tyrod does ok, I think Texan fans will be shocked at how effective he can be running the ball, always had a a nose for where the first down was. I also dislike Urban Meyers so a terrible game between the two represent no downside for me. Of course I will proabaly go watch the Bills game but wil hear incessantly about the Texans game. If I were a betting man I would take the 3.5 pts and bet Texans and go for the under, last i saw was 44. Rookie QB and the Texans non stop running, will be a low scoring game.

Long but entertaining read. One thing that stuck out for me, "“I learned from Andy Reid that the No. 1 job of a head coach in press conferences is not to create distraction for his team". Isnt that something, and who did he follow, that blowhard Rex Ryan. I swear Rex would prepare for hours with some of his little "comedy skits" for some of those press conferences. Rex was a master at creating distractions for his team at press conferences.

Living down in Houston I hear all the whining about the Texans. I despize the ownership and think if they can manage to lose to a rookie HC and rookie QB, they have an excellent shot at 0-17 which is pretty hard to do it. This game will be the best shot this year for the Texans to win. They lose this, likely be an underdog in every remaining game. Looking forward to how inept both teams are. I think Urban Meyers wont last more than 2 years, poor Trevor Lawrence.
