  1. Some rocket scientist actually voted for more than $20k. Whatever gives people their kicks.
  2. Guess what, the Jets are about to "Darnold" Zach Wilson as are the Jax Jaguars with Trevor Lawrence. What kind of NYJet brain trust was behind the idea to have no veteran QB leaderships for Wilson and start him immediately. Too much water under that bridge, sometimes a trade is good for both player and team. The Jets did get some value for Darnold.
  3. I agree with this, practice time for Trubisky is not a bad thing at all and keeping Allen fresh is an added bonus.
  4. Now we are going to micro-manage kneel down in a 35 point blowout? Unreal.
  5. Did I write there were no differences, obviously there were but the net result, absent the two big places were not, as I wrote radically different.
  6. Wow, the bumbling Texans may have dodged a bullet on Will Fuller by some miracle, at least they can get lucky every once in a while.
  7. Wass she the ref that was out of position that called the PI on Tre White when he intercepted the ball which really started to turn the game? Didnt McDermott say something about what he said to the refs on that play he wouldn't repeat.
  8. Absent the Patriots it couldn't happen to a better team.
  9. It was very insightful. What is really sad about the missed 55 yd TD to Sanders is that on that one play, our Line played specatuvclar, Josh had zero pressure and all the time in the world, no debate about that.
  10. It was a brutal game versus the Steelers until the pick six so the "regression" of the team from last year is really not that dramatic. One year we had a pick six, the next year they block a punt for a TD. Beyond those two plays, the games were not radically different imo.
  11. He was a good teammate, I am sure he will be fine. Tough to be a big man in hot/humid weather. Cowboys have to take this seriously as their strength and conditioning coach collapsed and died in his office last year.
  12. That to me sounds like a disaster, which is what it was, especially considering Dawkins was still Covid weak (despite what McDermott said post game).
  13. Who is the #1 DT, Jenkins? He is the only DT i see on the injury report but did have a full practice on Thursday. Guy tp watch on their D-Line is the rookie, Jalean Phillips, Greg Rousseau Miami teammate selected 18th overall. He has been impressive so far and is very very quick. Going to be great to watch the two former Miami DEs, see how gets the to QB more often.
  14. Hilarious. I wonder if the entire "clapping" things got kicked off on these message boards. Wasn't someone really angry stating McDermott clapped too much, not that in itself is funny.
  15. McDermott should have stated the obvious which we all saw evidence of. Dont know if it was coachspeak or trying not to make excuses.
  16. The issue I would have is if the Colts are allowed to "edit" hard knocks, I certainly wouldn't want to air my plans on national TV or give any hint of what is going on.
  17. Washington's inability or reluctance to set the edge and/or stop Jones from running wild was laughable, an they called that 57 yard Jones TD call back a questionable holding call. Washington has some serious defense issues on the edge, Allen could run for a 100 if they dont change.
  18. Tyker Heinicke got "away with a lot" imo. At least one more pass should have been intercepted but even his completions, it seemed like most passes were high and many were behind the receiver. Giant secondary looked awful, then again Washington's wasnt much better. Young and Sweet are going to have a field day versus Buffalo unless Dawkins "recuperates" and/or we make adjustments.
  19. From CBS sports: Latest Odds: Miami Dolphins +3.5 Bet Now I ended up rewatching the Steelers-Bills game a couple times (one for work, another when it ended up on TV one night this week and I kind of got sucked in) and I don't think that game is indicative of what we get from those respective teams in Week 2. The Bills defense is set to bounce back big and the Steelers are just going to be good on defense again. I'm not gonna comp anyone to Aaron Donald but Ed Oliver might become the next Grady Jarrett/Geno Atkins this year. I would bet on this defense finishing top 10 in DVOA this season fairly easily assuming no cluster of injuries. More importantly for this game -- the Steelers didn't blitz at all! They sat back and played a ton of zone against Josh Allen and still got home with their front four. That's not gonna work against anyone, even an MVP candidate. The Dolphins don't do that -- they're man heavy (54 percent last year but only 47 percent last week against Mac Jones, which warrants monitoring) which is why Josh Allen shredded them last year. Don't rule out a defensive shift, because Brian Flores ain't no dummy, but the Bills are just good and we underestimated the Steelers preseason. The pick: Bills 35, Dolphins 17 Props, Best Bets: Bills -3.5 (obvs prefer -3 but doesn't matter), hoping for low Diggs catches/yards numbers but not out yet
  20. I think Miami is on cloud 9 after lucking into a win at New England and being on top of the division, alone. Last year was last year. If they beat us, they still are on top with wins over both chief rivals, I dont think a Jet team with injuries and a rookie QB are currently a real threat.
  21. And recency bias based on your post. Posted the week after a horrible season opening loss.
  22. Depends how bad a loss it was. After the Texans playoff loss I sure did after we blow that game and I avoided it after the last Pitt loss because expectations were too high and starting off 0-1 after the best season in 25 years.
  23. 1) Yes Miami "lucked" into that win. How often does a Belichek team lose two fumbles (the last in the red zone down by a point) and one int...it hardly ever happens. 2) Pressure from the front four of Pitt killed us, it got to a comical level when at the end of the game they were only rushing three. 3) Josh and the entire offense was off last week, no debate about that. One of the dangers off putting everything of Josh's back. If he crumbles, our season is over.
  24. I really dont care about the "fan culture", what concerns me is the team culture, particularly Mr Allen. He looked exhausted and defeated after that game, not his usual upbeat optimism, I don't recall him every looking that way after a loss, maybe I am wrong but it did concern me.
  25. KC didnt have to figure anything out last year, they beat us at the lines, dominated both sides of the ball.
