  1. Hilarious. I wonder if the entire "clapping" things got kicked off on these message boards. Wasn't someone really angry stating McDermott clapped too much, not that in itself is funny.
  2. McDermott should have stated the obvious which we all saw evidence of. Dont know if it was coachspeak or trying not to make excuses.
  3. The issue I would have is if the Colts are allowed to "edit" hard knocks, I certainly wouldn't want to air my plans on national TV or give any hint of what is going on.
  4. Washington's inability or reluctance to set the edge and/or stop Jones from running wild was laughable, an they called that 57 yard Jones TD call back a questionable holding call. Washington has some serious defense issues on the edge, Allen could run for a 100 if they dont change.
  5. Tyker Heinicke got "away with a lot" imo. At least one more pass should have been intercepted but even his completions, it seemed like most passes were high and many were behind the receiver. Giant secondary looked awful, then again Washington's wasnt much better. Young and Sweet are going to have a field day versus Buffalo unless Dawkins "recuperates" and/or we make adjustments.
  6. From CBS sports: Latest Odds: Miami Dolphins +3.5 Bet Now I ended up rewatching the Steelers-Bills game a couple times (one for work, another when it ended up on TV one night this week and I kind of got sucked in) and I don't think that game is indicative of what we get from those respective teams in Week 2. The Bills defense is set to bounce back big and the Steelers are just going to be good on defense again. I'm not gonna comp anyone to Aaron Donald but Ed Oliver might become the next Grady Jarrett/Geno Atkins this year. I would bet on this defense finishing top 10 in DVOA this season fairly easily assuming no cluster of injuries. More importantly for this game -- the Steelers didn't blitz at all! They sat back and played a ton of zone against Josh Allen and still got home with their front four. That's not gonna work against anyone, even an MVP candidate. The Dolphins don't do that -- they're man heavy (54 percent last year but only 47 percent last week against Mac Jones, which warrants monitoring) which is why Josh Allen shredded them last year. Don't rule out a defensive shift, because Brian Flores ain't no dummy, but the Bills are just good and we underestimated the Steelers preseason. The pick: Bills 35, Dolphins 17 Props, Best Bets: Bills -3.5 (obvs prefer -3 but doesn't matter), hoping for low Diggs catches/yards numbers but not out yet
  7. I think Miami is on cloud 9 after lucking into a win at New England and being on top of the division, alone. Last year was last year. If they beat us, they still are on top with wins over both chief rivals, I dont think a Jet team with injuries and a rookie QB are currently a real threat.
  8. And recency bias based on your post. Posted the week after a horrible season opening loss.
  9. Depends how bad a loss it was. After the Texans playoff loss I sure did after we blow that game and I avoided it after the last Pitt loss because expectations were too high and starting off 0-1 after the best season in 25 years.
  10. 1) Yes Miami "lucked" into that win. How often does a Belichek team lose two fumbles (the last in the red zone down by a point) and one int...it hardly ever happens. 2) Pressure from the front four of Pitt killed us, it got to a comical level when at the end of the game they were only rushing three. 3) Josh and the entire offense was off last week, no debate about that. One of the dangers off putting everything of Josh's back. If he crumbles, our season is over.
  11. I really dont care about the "fan culture", what concerns me is the team culture, particularly Mr Allen. He looked exhausted and defeated after that game, not his usual upbeat optimism, I don't recall him every looking that way after a loss, maybe I am wrong but it did concern me.
  12. KC didnt have to figure anything out last year, they beat us at the lines, dominated both sides of the ball.
  13. Just out of curiosity, how do you know this? Or what makes you think that?
  14. All were playoff teams last year, what do people expect, dominance as in many of our other games?.
  15. No I will leave it up to you to look at the original scrolls from 12 BC, I would rather waste my time watching football replays but to each his own.
  16. "Unlike many other forms of poetry, haiku poems do not need to rhyme. For a challenge, though, some haiku poets will try to rhyme the first and third lines. Exploring the unique form of haiku can be a great way to introduce budding writers to the world of poetry." I dont need to try harder'
  17. Allen bounces back Tua 's weak arm is exposed Bills dominate Finns That is not the principle behind Haiku
  18. Yeah the great blocking fullback Gilliam. Go back and watch the infamous 4th down play where we lost 5 yards, Gilliam job was to 1) "sell" the were going to run 2) block ahead for Breida. He did neither, whiffed on the one defender that got to Breida, we had two bills and Pitt needed only one guy to make the tackle.
  19. The defender on that play was laughable, no way that should happen in the NFL,
  20. I used to think the Texans game was as close to a gimme as you can in the NFL but after our putrid performance, those hapless Texans are at the top of their conference and dominated their game last weekend yes versus a weak JAX. People dramatically underestimated Tyrod Taylor and yes he will have special motivation against the Bills.
  21. Didnt Moorman throw a TD on a similar play one year against Seattle to stay the season?
  22. Dabol is wrong, it is NOT the same play, back then they had a tight formation, moved the TE from the right to behind the LOS to sell the run and you are correct Josh did a terrible fake versus Beldsoe. Other difference is as I wrote it was a tight formation, why we had McKenzie out wide to the left, then it was idiotic then put him in motion to draw the CB right to where the play was being developed, than Gilliam whiffed on the tackle and let Sutton make the play all by himself.
  23. Good point. Looking at it more, #41 Gilliam did a horrible job blocking the Pitt defender, Sutton? who single handed beat Gilliam and got the tackle for loss. True BUT as someone else pointed out versus Seattle, and we had a tight formation, as well as all the other aforementioned mistakes on that play.
