Zach Wilson will be Sam Darnold copy #2 with the jets, terrible team with a too young QB thrown to the wolves too early. Next team Wilson should do much better.

I think 9.5 is too much but I disagree on Heinicke. Yes he had good stats BUT watch the highlights, most of his passes were too high and many behind the receiver and he got away with at least one pass that should have been intercepted. The one receiver, Mclaurin seemed to jump for every ball, sometimes unnecessarily which doesnt help in the YAC department. I am happy for Heinicke in that win but he doesn't impress me at all, he looks like an NFL backup to me.

Flores is correct, the Dolphins did beat themselves with dropped passes, penalties and missed tackles. The Dolphins played the way the Bills played from 2001-McDermott. Abd the Dolphins were LUCKY to heave beat the Patriots week one, they were gifted the game with three NE turnovers. Never thought it would happen this year but I think Flores is going to be on the hot seat at this rate by mid-season. They are in tough shape right now and they are stuck with a small, often hurt QB.

Guess what, the Jets are about to "Darnold" Zach Wilson as are the Jax Jaguars with Trevor Lawrence. What kind of NYJet brain trust was behind the idea to have no veteran QB leaderships for Wilson and start him immediately. Too much water under that bridge, sometimes a trade is good for both player and team. The Jets did get some value for Darnold.

I agree with this, practice time for Trubisky is not a bad thing at all and keeping Allen fresh is an added bonus.

It was very insightful. What is really sad about the missed 55 yd TD to Sanders is that on that one play, our Line played specatuvclar, Josh had zero pressure and all the time in the world, no debate about that.

It was a brutal game versus the Steelers until the pick six so the "regression" of the team from last year is really not that dramatic. One year we had a pick six, the next year they block a punt for a TD. Beyond those two plays, the games were not radically different imo.

He was a good teammate, I am sure he will be fine. Tough to be a big man in hot/humid weather. Cowboys have to take this seriously as their strength and conditioning coach collapsed and died in his office last year.

Who is the #1 DT, Jenkins? He is the only DT i see on the injury report but did have a full practice on Thursday. Guy tp watch on their D-Line is the rookie, Jalean Phillips, Greg Rousseau Miami teammate selected 18th overall. He has been impressive so far and is very very quick. Going to be great to watch the two former Miami DEs, see how gets the to QB more often.

Washington's inability or reluctance to set the edge and/or stop Jones from running wild was laughable, an they called that 57 yard Jones TD call back a questionable holding call. Washington has some serious defense issues on the edge, Allen could run for a 100 if they dont change.

Tyker Heinicke got "away with a lot" imo. At least one more pass should have been intercepted but even his completions, it seemed like most passes were high and many were behind the receiver. Giant secondary looked awful, then again Washington's wasnt much better. Young and Sweet are going to have a field day versus Buffalo unless Dawkins "recuperates" and/or we make adjustments.

From CBS sports: Latest Odds: Miami Dolphins +3.5 Bet Now I ended up rewatching the Steelers-Bills game a couple times (one for work, another when it ended up on TV one night this week and I kind of got sucked in) and I don't think that game is indicative of what we get from those respective teams in Week 2. The Bills defense is set to bounce back big and the Steelers are just going to be good on defense again. I'm not gonna comp anyone to Aaron Donald but Ed Oliver might become the next Grady Jarrett/Geno Atkins this year. I would bet on this defense finishing top 10 in DVOA this season fairly easily assuming no cluster of injuries. More importantly for this game -- the Steelers didn't blitz at all! They sat back and played a ton of zone against Josh Allen and still got home with their front four. That's not gonna work against anyone, even an MVP candidate. The Dolphins don't do that -- they're man heavy (54 percent last year but only 47 percent last week against Mac Jones, which warrants monitoring) which is why Josh Allen shredded them last year. Don't rule out a defensive shift, because Brian Flores ain't no dummy, but the Bills are just good and we underestimated the Steelers preseason. The pick: Bills 35, Dolphins 17 Props, Best Bets: Bills -3.5 (obvs prefer -3 but doesn't matter), hoping for low Diggs catches/yards numbers but not out yet

I think Miami is on cloud 9 after lucking into a win at New England and being on top of the division, alone. Last year was last year. If they beat us, they still are on top with wins over both chief rivals, I dont think a Jet team with injuries and a rookie QB are currently a real threat.
