Let's Get Fiscal: Paul Ryan Girl

Obama Girl soured on Obama. She said earlier this summer that she would not endorse him. http://dailycaller.com/2012/06/08/obama-girl-is-not-as-excited-about-2012-wont-endorse-obama/ Ouch! -

Uhmmm... I'm going to guess that she stopped schtupping him. And yes, MDH, I don't see how this helps in his future amorous pursuits. -
Wanna talk scared? Fourteen days without power on last year's Halloween Suprise snowstorm. Heavy snow + tree branches with leaves still on = SNAP CRACKLE POP. I can't do that again. Two weeks of people without a shower was too frightening.

Should still pick up a G in mid rounds, and a tackle late in the next draft. You really cannot take a break in shoring it up. Belichick usually takes two or three OL every draft, even when they were solid. That's because it's that important.
-
This is why Belichick has pretty much taken to loading up his injury report with stuff tantamount to 'Deion Branch (cold sore), Tom Brady (stubbed toe).' League mandates that guys have to list what their weak/injured areas are, physically?! It's stupid. I don't really care what their rationale is. It's stupid.

67th Annual Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner
UConn James replied to dayman's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
For a guy known for his results rather than his oratory, Romney had really good comedic timing there. Obama... wow. I'm not saying this just to be contrarian to everything O and this has no bearing on the election, but Obama's delivery was way off and overall just a slow gait. He really looks tired. -

Face Licking Dogs Spread Disease: Do You Care?
UConn James replied to /dev/null's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Fez, my little boy isn't a kissy-face either. But... are you actually suggesting that dogs are more high-maintenance than cats? Sacrilege! As long as we're sharing pictures of 'em.... https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/312313_1975110221887_1395110003_n.jpg?dl=1 -
The time to switch QB or draft a talented rookie is when you have a good OL. And as much as some people argue that Fitz makes the line good, by and large I think that's specious and still not a good argument to keep a guy who can't throw for stevestojan even behind this Best OL. What profit a team to have big nasties like this if the QB can't deliver the ball?

Face Licking Dogs Spread Disease: Do You Care?
UConn James replied to /dev/null's topic in Off the Wall Archives
That small a sample size and wide infection % margins leave a lot to be desired, scientifically speaking. It's also limited to Japan. Not saying there's nothing to it, but... stevestojan! you gotta live your life. And for me, a life without a dog is soulless. Literally. I took a 3-year break after our last died of the C-word in 2008 and it was a mostly joyless time, looking back. Kinda like "Doctor Who" with a hot female companion, I've learned that for my mental health, I should not be without a canine best buddy. Come with it what it may.... -
Meh... I don't really care about the word choice. What I do care about is that this administration is now lashing out at the very same line that they used on Bush and 9/11 --- that the 6 August PDB was the warning that they 'ignored' with tragedy resulting. Here, we had 48 hours notice of a request for more security, per today's story Hillary Clinton actually approved the increase, and for some reason, which reeks of this White House kitty-footing the Arab world, it never went through. What I care about is less about how the aftermath was handled and who said what and blamed whom. What I care about is four dead Americans that didn't have to be dead, but are because Obama and the mindset he's put into the executive branch is one of pure marketing and appearances' sake.

Add in *recent* polling and where it's now all but a lost cause for Obama post-(two)-debates (Florida and Virginia) and a likely win for Obama just based on history, it's Romney 257, Obama 221 with 60 as toss-up. That's where it seems to get tough going for Romney based on the other numbers out there and especially with a clincher in Ohio that's been very hard to gauge. But it could actually be a 269 stalemate if Romney wins Iowa and Nevada from that 257. This one's probably going to be close.

As Rove is saying, no candidate who's polled higher than 50% in Gallup (even with their Obama-skewed methodology) in mid-October has ever lost the presidential election.

Wow. This presidency is in a !@#$ing shambles. On the note of the moderators... is it just me, or does anyone else think they should get Watson --- the computer that competed on Jeopardy a couple-few years ago --- to host these things? It becomes more clear every cycle that what we have just doesn't work.

This. If, OTOH, Chan and Buddy are married to Fitz and can't accept that this guy physically just can't make the throws, then !@#$ it --- the baby goes out with the bath water. I mean... the guy isn't willing to throw the ball more than 10 yards. On 2nd and 27 this week, he threw it behind the LOS on the next two passes. Is it a dead arm / Kelly Holcomb thing? Or is he just that erratic? I hope the coach and FO can finally see what we have at QB... what they're paying $10M/year for!!!... and finally get the stones to DO something about quarterback in the draft and not blame it on our slot or whatever. Try SOMETHING else because Fitz ain't it. If Chan does that, he gets more time. If he remains adamant that he can make chicken salad out of chicken stevestojan... I won't be spending $ or time on this team next year. I mowed the lawn on Sunday. And I can find other stuff to do if they're not serious about trying to win and do more than beat the KCs and Clevelands of the league. The OL is now good. Maybe invest more at another guard spot. But we've got a good line that a rookie QB won't die or get gunshy behind. Geni Smith, the kid from Miami-Ohio, whatever. Try something else. Try someone who can physically make ALL THE THROWS an NFL QB needs to make these days. We can't compete with a lame duck.

Dogs are awesome! (Well, MOST dogs, James says, as he looks at his left hand and winces a bit at the scars.)

Vote for Obama and you'll be fired
UConn James replied to BillsFan-4-Ever's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Exaggerate / lie and flail your arms with the headline and then when totally unable to back up the headline with the facts, you hide behind a weasel word. (In this case, a lame-ass weasel word even among weasel words.) Go stick your head in the oven. You know you want to. -

I get that most guys think about stories like this with their penis. 'If that we're me back in high school... / Lucky kid...." It's what our culture has devolved to. Kids are being sexualized by the media, by record companies, by their own parents. Like the 8-year-old who got killed with the Uzi he was firing a few years back, who was in my nephew's class, kids are just being driven to too much too soon. But don't for a minute think that this story and countless others have no impact on a kid and later life. Across the board, victims of sexual abuse, even the statutory kind, have effects. They are more prone to depression... and what seals the argument for me is that, as learned from a development class from the U, they are IIRC 200% more likely to themselves rape and abuse minors. Victims frequently become offenders, in the cycle of sexual abuse. For many of these kids, the story doesn't stop with teacher convicted and boy got lucky and gets high-fives. Sorry to burst the balloon. They can/will be growing up with warped beliefs that sexual contact with minors is normal. And their victim could be your children --- it could be YOUR 12-year-old daughter that he goes on to molest. Guys need to get out of the mentality that this kid is "lucky" when in reality this kid and others have just been introduced into the cycle of sexual abuse. There is no OK level of abuse, it's not OK if the offender is a woman any more than it boils your blood when it's a guy going after a little girl. It doesn't matter if she's plain. It doesn't matter if she's beautiful. It doesn't matter if she's a cheerleader. It does matter that what she's done will have a lifelong effect in ways that you guys who think only with your penis are totally unaware of. NO abuse is OK. No abuse should just be swept under the rug.

Headline implies that the brawl caused the heart attack. Story later says he was found outside. WTF?
