  1. Wait... you moved to Connecticut?!?!!! It’s like a mad rush to escape this place.
  2. What does Republican-Democrat have to do with it? I laughed my ass off, as ever. It’s not his job to be PC and he doesn’t even have to believe what he says... it just has to be funny. People take offense? Eff ‘em. I think that’s why Dave chose to wear a military flight-suit. He’s going to war against everybody that has a preconceived notion of what comedy is and should be in this era.
  3. I think it all but solidified the theory that Rey is a clone that got out of the warehouse. The cave sequence showed her as one of an endless repeating line of Reys. Palpatine or whoever the dark side leader is had commissioned clones before. And the comic dome time ago confirmed that Palpatine implanted/conceived Anakin into his mother. Not a stretch to be able to commission clones that are force-sensitive.
  4. How soon we forget about astronauts wearing NASA diapers while driving hundreds of miles to confront a romantic rival....
  5. My mum taught us three boys to aim by putting Cheerios in the toilet. After my oldest brother’s recent stays here, it looks as though he needs a refresher course ?. White guys like... Ben Watson?
  6. That’s absolutely not how LOST ended. The Sideways flashes were something entirely different. This site / post was a total ? and makes complete sense. Jack became the smoke monster because the entered the source/heart of the island. There is also a post that logically explains David Shepherd (who was conceived in the encounter bw Kate & Jack the night before the Ajira flight back to the island. Remember that Eloise Hawking said they had to recreate as many of the Oceanic things as they could. Kate was the pregnant woman.) Good resource for those who were left with questions. https://lostanswers.tumblr.com/post/25732406479/the-jack-monster-and-the-smoke-mother
  7. https://mobile.twitter.com/MattGlasz/status/1121487326335598592 The front of Oliver’s draft jersey didn’t get shown, but I’m willing to guess that like the 35th and 50th season anniversaries, it’ll probably be on the upper left chest. It’s a bit blurred, but there doesn’t seem to be the BFBS (Black for black’s sake, as UniWatch calls it) outline. Would that they will eventually do this with the unis.
  8. TBH, I wouldn't vote to convict anyone if I'm on the jury.
  9. The only thing I agree with Belichick on... EVERYTHING should be reviewable. WOW. And the replay shows the whitehat turned his head just before the contact. Inexcusable. And you KNOW there has to be a directive from high up to keep the Rams in it to solidify the LA market.
  10. Wow, Aikman's eyes are so red.
  11. #50 also was pulling on the face mask of Allen during the tackle before Alonso came in.
  12. What’s the deal with Groy’s headbobbing prior to the snap? I don’t remember him doing that when making the fill-in starts for Wood. Who added that tic to his snap? Castillo? IIRC, it accounted for two false starts. Disappointing how he had held his own as a sub but now as a starter, he just looks lost and DL winging right around him.
  13. Jumped, but only with one hand up. If he put up two, there's a chance he'd've caught that. Can't fault Allen for putting it where only the receiver could come down with it.
  14. Pretty ugly so far....
  15. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/07/02/nfl-to-allow-teams-to-wear-alternates-three-times/ https://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2018/07/buffalo_bills_can_wear_throwback_jerseys_three_times_in_2018.html This is basically what the Bills did last year, with the throwbacks twice and the red Color Rush once in the Colts snow game (since there was no Thursday night game). Wonder if it stays the same or they choose the throwbacks three times. I'm just not a fan of the red unis.
  16. My only gripes with the current unis are the collars that have changed, like, every year since 2011. Thick white, to thick white with some unbalanced piping, then thinner white and piping but stops at the V where it changes to blue, and now a smaller section of blue at the V around the NFL shield. Nike totally trashed good jerseys with this design element that only serves to be different for difference's sake. The 'Aints jerseys with the black collar on whites / gold collar on blacks are maybe the most hideous in the league... and then you look at their alt uni without any collar and it's, IMO, the best-looking uni in the league. We should just get rid of the collar altogether and make it all blue, akin to our blue standing buffalo alt set from several years ago. I also am not a fan of the black piping. In the era of HD, it's not necessary for television picture clarity. It's something several teams did in the late '90s-early '00s and which those teams have now corrected. See how the Phins got rid of the darker blue piping for a wider orange; such a small tweak producing such a big visual improvement. I say this with love, because I have a whole side of my family in WNY, but the area is a weird time-warp where everything is about 10 years behind the times. Ditching the black would make space to increase the red or blue accent piping on the shoulders. It would also be more consistent to have the piping around the names rather than just white or just blue. The red piping around the name letters on the current throwbacks is excellent. The current uni set is hands-down the best since we moved on from the Kelly-era unis. These few very minor tweaks would make them perfect, IMO.
  17. I remember being thoroughly unimpressed with DiMarco last season. Especially given his cap hit. It was a clear downgrade from Corey McIntyre.
  18. Before Christmas, I ordered a standing bison era Elite alternate/throwback from the Bills store, customized with #15 and my last name. Code gave 25% off so it ended up ~$250. Real stitching. None of the black piping that, frankly, I just hate. The build on it is really nice and I foresee this thing will last my lifetime and then I can hand it down. I just don't see the appeal of buying the cheap jerseys with plastic numbers of guys who may not be on the team two years from purchase.
  19. I'm with Jay on this. Dolphins = Small change, BIG difference. Getting rid of excessive piping and getting closer to traditional colors is always an improvement in my book. They also have their throwback set with the darker teal and helmet-wearing Phin. As a uni traditionalist, I ordered an Elite version Bills throwback late last year with my last name on the nameplate. I love the simple blue numbers with red piping. The extra black piping of the regular unis just grates my eyes. It reeks of late '90s. Combine that with the inconsistent striping on the collar. Bear in mind that these are still way better than the Donahoe-era yolks, by FAR, but one can only hope that the trend of removing unnecessary black/dark outlines eventually hits Buffalo. As for the Jags new set, our long national nightmare of the split-personality helmet is finally over. The cloth is extremely bland. Numbers have no contrast, pants have nothing but a small hip logo. This is minimalism that is to the opposite extreme of the previous set. This looks like a training camp set.
  20. IIRC, he's a writer for a show on ABC about a disabled character. Great sense of humor. In one of his videos, he came out with "Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. Teach a man to buy Swedish Fish on Amazon, you give him diabetes. For a lifetime."
  21. Welcome to the beginnings of the Orwellian Junior Anti-Sex League. I mean... is this where all of society is heading? Was Orwell only about 50 years off in "1984"?
  22. LOL. I'm keeping an eye on Lamar Jackson's development.
  23. This. It was on this date several years ago that the guy in Norway killed 70+ people at a kids day camp where it took the police there 90 minutes to respond. Security is self-help and 90 percent of the time, cops are there after the fact to do paperwork for the insurance companies. AW, from accounts, acted a little oddly during the situation but I'll chalk that up to the nerves / loss of sauve in the heat of the moment and to him being a big black dude in a country that has had headlines such as they are. His intent was to prove that although he was lawfully carrying, he was not a threat to the police or bystanders. All involved came out OK. This isn't what some want/wanted to make it out to be. Let's move on.
  24. I would have to say "A Chef's Life" on PBS that follows Vivian Howard's NC / Southern cooking is one of the easiest to watch. It's down-home and really well-produced. "Mind of a Chef" on the Netflix is really good for topics and I enjoyed the first chef that was featured on it with the ramen and Japanese influences of his heritage. "Chef's Kitchen" is really artsy and more personality / ambiance driven than about the actual food, but it is visually beautiful. I don't have pay-TV so I can't rate any of the Food Network shows and such, but when I have seen ones like that where it's competition and judges and whatnot, I just don't like that. The ATK and Cook's Country ones are really helpful for the aspiring home cook to learn some new techniques. And while I don't hate Chris Kimball as the host, I don't really miss him either.
