Yup. This ain't like the Christmas one where at least the houses stood still and you didn't need to wait for them to come out of the woodwork. And as I wrote above, the egg-placing causes monkey-arm. Taking forever. I'm hoping my deal with mrags will mitigate some of the problem of getting eggs, as we'd just be shuffling them back and forth back to each other and eventually get snakes out of them.... I think. I hope. Not liking how this update was designed....
-
OK. I now have a little bit of what David Pogue (tech editor for the NYT, NOVA Science Now host, and all-around funnily awesome guy) calls "monkey arms" from too much tablet use.... And I've had a bit of the shakes in my hands from a med I've been on since Jan. But they're delivered!

Game on, mrags! Just to confirm first before I dump like 300, that your handle is the mrags one. I'm not so concerned about it being 1-1, but I need to be getting more than I have. And it's stupid b/c I've got the full 100 friends now and I'm literally getting like 30 in the last week, after I'd been distributing. And to add insult to injury, I see towns in my travels where every free square that can have an egg has one and the person is on level 10or 14 and obviously hasn't played for six months or died or got locked out of their account. And yet, they get all the eggs. SMH. As soon as I get the missile launch codes, I'll have my lawyer fax over the paperwork for your signature, dude! ;-)

OK. So, I'm still less that 6,000 and there's 8 days left in this. I really want the arena and Drederick Tatum at least (one of my favorite characters). Problem is I'm not getting reciprocity on the eggs. Like, nowhere near. In the past week, I've gotten maybe 30 placed in my town. I'm currently sitting on 300 that I've gotten in two days. I'm looking for someone who will do an exclusive egg-swap. All I collect for all you collect.

I wrote the EJ? an EJ (and then came back to my town last night and saw an EJ on my own grass --- you know what they say about great minds!!!) and a GO BILLS.... I'm about to score the baseball stadium today, probably. mrags, seriously, if you need threads, go to the link above for the EA forum I posted above and click on a latter page of an add-me thread, write those names down and friend them in the game. Best way to get a lot of friends for during these events.

Actually, I believe it's affected by other people spraypainting your various buildings, and you cleaning them up. That's kind of why it's appreciated for neighbors to take the time in the neighborhood visit to find any that aren't tagged. Catching Sideshow Bob increases it. Having and using the prison increases it, I believe. Sending Wiggum on patrol does as well, I think I've read. That said, the metrics for the star ratings are very finicky --- one day you can have a 5 and the next a 2 and then w/o doing anything it'll be a 4.... I wouldn't worry about them much.

Honestly wasn't me. Go into the move-around mode and then click on the things in the lower right that allow you to make the houses and vegetation/structures see-through and you should be able to find it.

Mrags, I banked that much while they still had the friend/neighbor bonus during and after the holidays. Basically, if you had a neighbor who had a lot of premium items, you would keep going in and out of their Springfield and it would build up the cash payout per house. So, instead of getting $17 per, I once got ~$30,000+ per tap x 100 friends. Gotta say that it's taken a lot of the imperative out of playing Nd trying to save up cash. This particular loophole was closed in an update. That's a somewhat common complaint about the donut use WRT the small pink buttons. They did start a 'Cancel' button next to it when you order a premium item. I actually used the 60 they give at he start of the game for stupid speed-up stuff b/c I didn't know donuts were going to be scarce like this.... Did another snake egg dump for you guys. Enjoy.

What stage does the Lifetime network movie appear? It would seem to me that the FBI photo release flushed them out. They figured they would be tracked down very soon anyway, so they just went for broke and went on the offensive.

I threw down a $50 for donuts when I got an ITunes card over the holidays. I've tried to be conservative with it, but I did get a couple of the deals that the salesman guy Max offered like the Springfield sign and the Hank Scorpio lair together for 250(iirc). I also did the friends bonus thing and racked up ~$10M --- even after getting those big $ items, I've got $7.5M left now. No one says that you need to plunk down coin for the game for premium items. You can do all the free stuff and it's still enjoyable. Haven't been on nearly as much since Jan., as I wrote maybe 10 min. a day. That Burns Manor B is me, and that's fine. I've lifted a number of things myself, i.e. my tire fire and garbage till area with the jagged gravel path.

There's actually an EA forum with add-me threads for 'neighbors' here: http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/categories/show/233.page Sorry, I'm on my iPad so I can't make a link.... I really try to limit it to ~10 min a day, and try to make it during down time at that. Anything more just seems... not good.

Haven't made it on the neighborhood in a while, but I'll be returning the favor right now. Thanks. I have no idea how I'm going to make it to 12,500....

Survivor Caramoan : Fans vs. Favorites

How big of a dick move was that?! The host guy was like, Take a shower first and then.... I'm sure the resort really appreciated having to clean that --- actually, probably having to drain the pool and start over with as much crap Philip had on him and the dirt contrail he left. How scrambled was that tribal? Wow. They were just frantically whispering, trying to figure out which of thir own Seven to snuff out. Then followed Philip's advice to force the two idols out. Then, the ringleader is gone and it looks like the alliance just falls apart. Well played, Malcom! -
I'm with Jim here. I don't think I've ever heard of a dog that actually watched the teevee. Reacted to sounds from it, yeah, but not watched the screen. On balance, I suppose my dog doesn't really do anything that other dogs don't do. Just, he does them in spades. As my father says, "He's 500 m.p.h. down a dead end road!" When he starts slowing down with age, it'll be a welcome respite, but I don't think that's going to happen for another 10 years.... Very vocal, high-energy, curious. Maybe the only weird thing about him is that he likes being towel-dried WAAAAAY more than he ought to.

Catch-and-release keeps lawyers, judges and bailbondspeople in business, don't you know?

Yeah, with my tinnitus, I sleep better with some background noise. I don't remember there being a year with a particularly bad case here in CT, tho.... -

Not to get too off track, but I'll mention that the only "musical" movie I've liked to this point in time was the Gene Wilder "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory." I might have said the Wizard of Oz as well, if I hadn't been forced to watch it thirty-eleven times in the past 3 years by my niece, God bless her.... It just gets, well, you know. -

Lou Taylor Pucci also has a gem of an indie coming out on the 5th titled "The Story of Luke" about an man on the autism spectrum who takes his grandfather's last words to him to heart: to find a job and find a girl --- two things that aren't easy for people with ASD. Also stars Seth Green, Kristin Bauer and Cary Elwes (he of "Princess Bride" and "Robin Hood: Men in Tights"). Coinciding with Autism Awareness Month, this movie is holding a special place in my own regard having been told by people who have studied and work in that sphere that they have "no doubt" that I have mild Asperger's / PDD-NOS. It does explain a lot of things with me.... Anyway, this movie has been winning a number of smaller film festival awards among both the critic and audience votes. It has a limited release today, 5 April, and is also available in several formats, including VOD and on iTunes. The autism spectrum is wide --- as wide and as varied as each individual on it. Everybody has challenges. We all have something. We all have a story. This is Luke's. http://www.thestoryofluke.com/ Trailer: www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPZPm5ZUsg8 -
