  1. Uhmm.... I'd rather have him holding the Lombardi trophy. And It should be like they do in the NHL. No one touches a trophy unless/until it's the BIG one.
  2. Hmm. If my peeps here could click on the Squidport tile for me when it's ready, that would be cool. I think it'll be another two days before the current one is ready and I hope this trick works. I've been trying to build an offshoot jetty to house the Freak Show. I'm at 3 days per tile now and it's so slow-going...!
  3. gildedarmor12 Like Mrags said, if you need any help, ask here.
  4. No tricks, other than luck. As I wrote, it took me ~70 spins to finally get the ClausCo building. (I had actually landed on it twice and got shafted by the peg toggle thingie. Flippin' flappin'....) And yeah, it'd be nice to get it, b/c in future Christmas events, it'll help you out e.g. how the previous year's graveyards/mausoleums etc. gave out extra ghosts this past Halloween. That donut discount from Gil didn't last all that long, either. I picked up some iTunes cards at BJ's just after Christmas, and it was gone. Oh well. I'll sit on them, then.
  5. OK, smart@--es, when I said the girl from the Swiffer ad, I meant the brunette here: http://www.ispot.tv/...jet-generations
  6. Finally got the ClausCo building today, after literally ~ 70 spins. (I have 97K cards.) Then again, I had landed on it TWICE before, with the spinner toggle nudging the edge of a divider pole, but still IN the ClausCo section... and it gave me the prize on the other £^€%ing side --- money. GRRRRR!!! So, no more need to drop gift bags in my Springfield. Give 'em to those who need 'em, and good luck!
  7. This is a league that's bent over backward to give offenses the upper hand to increase scoring. Have to improve the O. TE needs to be upgraded. Chandler UFA(?) may not be back. I have a weird feeling that Stevie isn't going to be here next year. And if Graham is still here after this sorry-@$$ season.... Need to draft or develop another workhorse back to take over for FJ. (Don't get me wrong, FredEx is the man. But he's also going into year 8 at a position where the average career is ~ 1.75 seasons.) Continue drafting WRs. Whoever spotted/sold the FO on Woods and Goodwin should be listened to again. But I wouldn't mind going bigger / bulkier tweener TEs ala the Pats* model. Draft OL. Needs reinforcement. LG especially. RT and better depth secondarily.
  8. I can't find it, but... the girl in the new Swiffer Wet Jet commercial.
  9. Yup. Got Mr. Plow this a.m.
  10. Hmm. I'm at the 'Hide from Springfielders' quest right now and sent Homer and Lisa on it. So, I guess I just won't tap on their thumbs at the Simpson abode until... whenever... and keep sending everyone on 'Search for the Simpsons' at least until I get the Barney Plow King and Clausco building. Still just getting cash or a few cards. That's getting pretty aggravating.
  11. Just you watch... ajzepp is gonna list a $10,000 pair of headphones / speakers. Hmmm. Ridiculous yet reasonable? We got a '73 Mustang convertible in nice shape for ~$7K in October, so I'm not going press my luck. I'm gonna lean way toward the "reasonable" side and go with a GPS. Hopefully one that has a seductive-English-lady-accent voice.
  12. I'm thinking that this is how Beerball would handle such a position of power, though:
  13. Still trying to take care of my homies (that would be, you guys!) with the gift bags. But damn if you don't get many to give out! I've had, at most, ~45 in one day. Sure isn't like the gremlins.... Another thing about the coin spins, tho. Once you get all the personal prize items, for every 1,000 gift cards you collect thereafter, you get a spin. Here's hoping that'll do it.
  14. I got the Helter Shelter today, finally. A couple of snow sculptures as well. I don't care about the ClausCo building, but I'd better not get shafted on the Barney Plow King.
  15. It's Nutmegger, NG. How do you not know *that* by now? ;P Pricey doesn't begin to describe it, BB.... I'm in the NE and it's terrible here.
  16. BBF is a gentleman and a scholar. And I'm not saying that in the usual way that means someone's a drunk.
  17. Well, since no one has anything nice to say about me, I'll offer my own self-compliment. Now, nothing is official yet, but my dog has been contacted by Lank Thompson to be one of the stars of his latest video, to be titled, "I'm a Handsome Black and White Man." Ruff
  18. No one on TBD has more admirers than CGF. (Well... maybe Lana.) Which is surprising when you think about it. Or creepy, once you think about it a little more. Nevertheless, admirers are admirers!
  19. They're looking to offset a $109M loss by a mix of cutting service/personnel and increasing prices to save $900M? Filthy stinking capitalists!!! Eh, comrades? Eh? [eyeroll] (It may have to do with making up for multi-year losses.) Not that drastic changes aren't on the horizon for the USPS. The trial balloon of ending Saturday delivery was just a start. As my father said, they should end Wednesday delivery. Mondays are ALWAYS the heaviest flow, as it backlogs from the Saturday mail . Actually ADDING a day for weekend accumulation for even heavier Mondays is beyond stupid. Add in that cutting Saturdays would be getting rid of the time when most people are free and finally have a day to run to the PO and send that package, buy stamps, sign for certifieds, etc. Again, BEYOND stupid to cut Saturdays. Cut Wednesdays! At least there's delivery both days around that so there isn't as much backlog. Because... well... they have to do something. Carrier salaries, gasoline use and vehicle fleet to maintain, reduction in use of standard first-class mail. An uneven flow (they get absolutely hammered this time of year, and it starts in October). It's a crazy system of how your mail gets delivered --- it's like a daily miracle. Despite it all, as much as people might pooh-pooh a stamp raise, we have the best post and, IIRC, the lowest cost post in the world. On edit: Oops, I meant to qualify that my father is a rural carrier substitute for ~15 years, most of that falling under post-retirement. He did industrial warehouse shipping for 30 years before this. He does all routes in multiple towns (try learning and sorting ONE case, people!), and often does them in less time than the full-time carrier. It's good for him. Keeps him engaged. It's a good supplement income. And it's good for the PO. He does the unofficial training for new people. He knows every road. Literally. We have always called him "Rand McNally" and so the PO was a good fit, I guess.
  20. Mrags put the bop in the bop-shoo-bop-shoo-bop, and the ram in the ram-a-lam-a-ding-dong. (But he didn't put the dip in the dip-de-dip-de-dip. That was Henry Kissinger, of all people!) So, let's all shake his hand!
  21. When Jboyst says "grass-fed beef" that leaves botanical wiggle room for his helping out those of his gals with... ahem... severe glaucoma. Yeah, that's it. Glaucoma!
  22. The Bandit set up a nice retirement account for Smokey.
  23. Jboyst visits my Simpsons Tapped Out town regularly and usually graffities my police station, library and elementary school. What a guy!
  24. DC Tom truly IS a pedantic supercilious anal orifice. Sorry. That WAS me writing something nice. Consider the subject, people. ;P
  25. No one but no one connects over-the-air antenna cables with as much grace as Jack.
