  1. “You don't tug on Superman's cape / You don't spit into the wind / You don't pull the mask off the ol' Lone Ranger / And you don't mess around with Jim.” – Jim Croce
  2. "I can't make bricks without clay." -- Sherlock Holmes in "The Adventure of the Copper Beeches" TD needs to get something in rounds 4-7. Because the starting LT (or C if they switch Teague) doesn't appear to be on the roster. And the Shelton trade which looked like crapola before is dead (This is for the best, I'd say). Not saying he needs a blue chipper, but he does need to pick up a warm body, at least.
  3. And the spike in registered users who will forever remain at "Posts: 1" just so they could chime in with "Yeah! What he said."
  4. Hochstein at C and another rookie at T were starting in the Pats' second SB win.... I give TD a lot of latitude b/c he's the man w/ the plan. To me, these two picks don't sit right, as there are more important areas to plug w/ backups. Who knows, but he'd be wise to sift through the detritus and pick up a C and DT tomorrow.
  5. One part of me agrees, and then the other part has me thinking of when Sherlock Holmes said, "You can't make bricks without clay."
  6. Is that what it's called when he uses his left hand? What a horrible person!
  7. You mean: -- Has a ... good bubble and thick calves … ("A good bubble"? WTF? ) -- power through the jam or use his swim move … -- Can sink his hips -- decent job of finding the soft spot to settle when working in the zone … -- Creates a nice underneath target If you read with a dirty mind, yeah.... :w00t:
  8. I guess they're just saving time and picking up the entire Hurricanes squad. Did Willis clue them in on some secret about these guys? <Breathe in> Relax. It's all right. TD has a plan. We weren't that far away before this, we won't be that far away after it. <Breathe out>
  9. You'd think with thirty posts in an hour, he might have had more than one idea to share, but alas.... it just ranged from dark to bleak.
  10. Mick, I don't think TD has the Rolaids out.
  11. I actually wouldn't be unhappy if we pick up Alfred Fincher from my alma mater.... I think he can be had in the third if the Pats don't scoop him up at the end of this round as insurance for Bruschi. Mark my words, you probably haven't heard of him, but this kid will be good.
  12. Does Cinci go for Munoz, just because?
  13. I think it's something we'll be regretting. Oh well. Gotta look forward, not back.
  14. Now we'll see if TD gets a chance at Nugent if the Jests don't snag him....
  15. I would be. I honestly don't think the Bills are that far away. Getting a kicker who can make the ST even more special and who you can have confidence in, even past 50 yards, is better than picking a 'Best Player Available' who will be a backup for 3 years before he sniffs the field. As long as TD picks a T in the 3rd.
  16. Pats will be picking LB or CB. Their DL is strong already.
  17. Matt Millen needs to be hit with the clue stick. This three 1st round WRs in the past three drafts? He's ignored his defense. And his offense isn't that good w/ Harrington at the helm.
  18. Deep breaths. And Ritalin. Lots of Ritalin.
  19. Carolina or KC, maybe all the way to GB (?) unless someone trades up. Wow. He should've stayed in school.
  20. The few times I saw him last year, against BC and Rutgers especially, he didn't impress me.
  21. Considering how his Chunky Soup butt was weazing and huffing on a potential tying drive in the SB, I wouldn't say they were all wrong. At least people have a new definition of "choker" to replace Thurman.
  22. Well, how about "high effort" This description sounds a lot like his brother.....
  23. Agreed. But there's not very many players who'll go in the first that are worth giving up a 1st in next year's stronger draft. Not worth it in the contract to get 2nd round talent at a 1st rounder's price tag. If TD makes any trades, it will be calculated to get a certain player if he falls to a certain spot.
  24. And a late wake-up call to those athletes who always said "Who needs a degree?" and were pushed through by taking sociology 101, pool management, etc. I hope Shaud tears it up. The big knock was that he wasn't tall/big enough, which for a RB is much less of an issue than other positions. UDFAs go where there is an opportunity for them based on depth charts. Dorenbos came to Buffalo last year b/c there were no other LSs on the roster. It's not so much a thing of going to specific teams.
  25. To be fair, I'd say 98 percent of Americans think they know the words to the Anthem when probably only 50 percent do. The key it's sung in (the words were plopped into an old English drinking tune) doesn't help the flow. To say nothing of the nervous pressure singing before 20K+ people. Try it sometime and see how you do. It's for this reason I don't judge. But they should have gotten someone else to sing them in her stead.
