Mine is more vivid details from dreams that literally came true months later, about environmental / physical features and things not in my control and far too random to be coincidence. As I was living it, I was like “Holy wow. I’ve seen this before!” Happened a few times. Freaky.

I have never seen a ghost, myself. So I’m firmly in the ‘maybe’ camp on whether they are real. My uncle, a post-WW2 vet, swears he saw one when he was installing phone lines in the late ‘70s iirc in the Mark Twain house in Hartford. This seems to be a reported thing with the ghost of a young woman in a flowing white dress. Mark Twain’s 24-year-old daughter died in the house from meningitis. And my dad says he met one in Colorado, where he was stationed at Ft. Carson for basic training and specialty school for helicopter maintenance/ supply & warehouse side. He was talking to a gal before his company shipped out to Vietnam, she said she had to go and asked if he would walk her home. On the way she said he would be all right during the war. He then went back to the party. A guy came up to him a bit later and said he’d seen him talking before he left. But... he wasn’t talking to anyone who was visible to this man. He then shared that there was a well-known ghost in the house and that this (getting a person to walk her there) basically was her MO. My dad was injured when a box fell on his foot and then with an eye condition and did his two years of draft duty but didn’t go to the war. There’s stuff that we don’t have explanations for, and whether that is energy that gets left behind or different dimensions or what-have-you....

Meh. He needs to get approval from the NFL for everything he puts on his Twitter? It’s a grooming product like any other. I don’t get the outrage. They have ads for erections and douche products on teevee; a hair trimming product is taboo? Unless the NFL Network has a huge sponsorship with Braun or Gillette or something....

I’m not really in favor of a forfeit at this point. This early in the season probably isn’t the time to start handing that down. Other teams may have outbreaks, and then what? Forfeiture isn’t a great precedent. Adding a week at the end of the season isn’t really fair for the reasons stated upthread — other playoff teams could get a rest week while othershave to play. So. What about the league slips in a bye / makeup week into the middle of the season and bump back subsequent weeks, and have any matchups that needed to be rescheduled played there? Depending on how things progress, it might be something to have two bye weekends like this slipped in. They really ought to have scheduled 2-3 bye weeks from the start, given the givens, anyway.

Yup. No reason why the NFL w/s/couldn’t have scheduled in several bye weeks for teams to account & give shuffling room for these eventualities. It was hubris, plain and simple.

There was an early kickoff (after the first TD?) where Bass kicked it short of the end zone and their returner got crushed at the 15. So... 🤷🏻‍♂️ that may have been planned; who knows. But... in this league, you give guys chances and eventually they’ll burn you. Much safer to kick it through.

Josh’s mesh point / handoff is usually pretty slow and fairly obvious. This one was a thing of beauty worthy of a magician. Fooled darn near everyone including the CBS camera.

Hate how escapeable every QB seems to be against our front 4 / 7.

They should have added at least three bye weeks per team to account for any finagling of the schedule needed for cancellations. There would still be football every week, but it allows more flexibility. As the league moves toward 17 or 18 games a season, it would be best to have two byes once the pandemic is over. They used to have two back in the Kelly era. Shouldn’t have reduced it.

I meant that as in not just a passing league. It’s becoming a shootout league reminiscent of the arena league and college football scoring. Games where it’s 62-58 and the like are not far off given the way the NFL keeps changing its rules in favor of offense / “protecting the players.” It’s been this way for awhile, it seems, in the NFC Central division games with Stafford and Rogers’ lights-out passing numbers.

It’s fast becoming a shootout league.

I don’t understand the all-white socks.

After Milano’s most recent injury here, I’m not nuts about him re-signing for $13-15M/year when he’s unavailable. If Dodson proves he can fill the spot.... Injuries happen, especially to LBs. But I think we can probably replace and maybe upgrade his spot via the draft. There’s only so much to go around and Dawkins & Tre inked and Josh and Edmunds are due soon. Choices have to be made.

The real reason for the love is that McD will let Ed wear a team parka anytime he wants.

Josh’s mesh point is not nearly as clean / smooth as a number of other QBs and it seems like defenses can react to it faster.

Same, considering that Buffalo-Miami is a same-division game of the Pats*, so there is some competitive interest. Denver-Pitt just doesn’t seem like a great matchup or one that people in New England will watch or care about.... but... whaddo I know?
