The Penn State @ Wisconsin game this past weekend had U2’s “Where the Streets Have No Name” right before kickoff and I gotta say that 1:45 opening instrumental is a mighty good pump-up when at volume. It’s also become a Thing that UW plays “Jump Around” by House of Pain at the start of the 2nd half and everyone… jumps around. They explained some of the story around it that it started in ‘98 by being snuck onto the PA system and the school’s administration tried to end this tradition in 2003 (for fears of stadium damage) and it does register on their geology dept’s Richter scale. https://www.offtackleempire.com/2016/6/23/12007876/b1g-2016-wisconsin-traditions

Maybe have a neighborhood four-year-old set it up. 😋

TBH, there have been several times when during the play, Josh has pointed at an obvious penalty before taking the free shot downfield. But, yes, I don’t remember many times of him spending time arguing with refs to throw a flag. There was the ‘How many times we gotta score a touchdown’ comment on the hot mic last season vs. Denver when we had like five TD plays in a row called back.

Try a range extender. Our garage is kitty-corner across the street ~ 150 feet and it works awesome.

https://www.foxnews.com/sports/tom-brady-stands-defense-every-hard-hit-penalty I mean, this is spot-on and the league has bent over backwards trying to increase scoring by making so many rules against defense and in the name of protecting players, but it’s quite rich coming from a guy who has spent his career kvetching to the refs to throw a flag after every incomplete pass and has benefited from some seriously soft 15-yarders for so much as touching The Brady.

Lawyers go after who has the most money. Just name them in the lawsuit for publicity factor and figure / hope they’ll settle for some 💰 to make it go away. If CB did this, then it’s HIS fault, not the Bills & NFL. #🤬Lawyers Call it what you want, but the time for this was 30 years ago. It’s now even more of a he-said-she-said case unless there is some physical evidence, and they are relying on the current climate as a way to tip the balance.

Bills cuts to get to 53 [final info in the OP]

I would just say that 33-year-old career STer Taiwan Jones clears waivers and doesn’t have any takers. There are several guys who would not. This is a no-brainer. If we still want him, he can go to the squad. -

Joe B's 53 man roster prediction
UConn James replied to Kwai San's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dunno, and I guess this is an aside in this thread, but with games expanding and given injuries and the current situation, I just think rosters should be expanded. I mean, not drastically. Like… to 55 or 57. And dress that many for games. Full-time guys. The expanded practice squad and call-up rules are cool, but those guys are kinda lesser-thans who can be scooped up elsewhere on a whim. -

WOW. 😲 Say what you want about Jerruh but that is a beautiful facility and that was an amazing video (drone?). -
Hoping & thinking that we do keep 7 WRs and cut Taiwan Jones. Very little risk that anyone is going to pick up a 33-year-old special teamer. If/when we may need him he’ll be there and/or can be put on the PS.

This article highlights a number of reasons why I’m in favor of a retractable roof. Weather-related degrading of the concrete — even for the concrete from the 2013 renovations — is extensive. Constructing new with concrete and still leaving it exposed to the brutal elements and freeze/thaw isn’t going to make concrete magically last longer. Same goes for plastic seating that turns brittle, paint, electronics, etc. Being able to close a roof when the weather turns would save a lot of future repairs, to say nothing of making it more usable year-round and as the NFL year gets extended to 18 games and another bye week.

My thing is that this stadium has to be built for the next 50+ years, and from everything we’re seeing and what’s predicted by those who are experts, climate patterns are changing and weather is getting more at the extremes. I’m in favor of a retractable roof so the place can be used year-round. As the NFL season gets games added, they’re gonna be playing into mid-January in regular season and into February for playoffs. If, as reported, they’re going to have a partial covering over seating (something akin to the old Dallas stadium) then why not do a retractable for the 10% of roof that’s left?

Gameday Thread Friday the 13th Bills @ Lions 2nd Half

Dunno. May be that his pride was hurt most of all, or perhaps goldbricking an injury to explain the fumble. Seemed to be pointing at his side / wind knocked out.
