My favorite is STILL the red trim on white numbers and letters circa ‘60’s
Same. As a person who did a bit of graphic design & color theory stuff in college classes, it’s always a nit for me when teams have outline colors on their numbers but then the name on back (NOB) is just one color. We have the red outlines for the NOB on the 64-65 throwbacks and they are wonderful. Between that and the black trim, I got a white throwback jersey — with my own last name because I can’t be traded — several years ago. Been looking into getting some twill fabric to make the sleeve stripes like our current away jerseys but without the black.

I wondered about that too. The numbers look photo shopped. Made me think they did that because it was a recent decision to change. But it doesn’t make sense. The site in the past showed the dark trim.I always thought it was navy blue too but some guy on this board insisted it was black. All the more reason to dump it if it is about the drought era.
That guy would probably be me. I bought a pair of game-used pants from the D&A collectibles shop after the auction a few years ago.
If it isn’t black, it’s a shade of navy that is so frickin’ deep that it makes little / no difference. But to my eye, and putting it next to a black fabric and a navy fabric like the UConn logo, it definitely looks black.

No, it’s there. Just the photo quality.
I’m whole-heartedly in favor of removing the black trim as well. It’s completely unnecessary in these days of HD & soon enough 4K TV and it just screws with the classic red white & blue theme.

Doug Whaley, ladies and gentleman.
he thinks the salary cap is something that goes on your head.
Trying to foment something b/w Diggs and the team. -
Only way Beane is interested is to increase Gilmore’s cap hit on another team, especially if it’s the Chefs.
As said, I’m not a fan of his playing style or the stink he’s made about money. The Pats* restructured his deal which gave him a massive upfront amount / signing bonus in exchange for less salary. The very next year Gilmore was whining about how his salary was so low. The worst kind of ‘what have you done for me lately’ attitude.

As audio options get more advanced with ATSC 3.0 / NextGen TV and such, I really hope we’ll someday soon have the option of turning off the announcers and just listening to the sounds in the stadium & on the field.

Hope it’s available for a single team’s games… and that it’s not exorbitant 💸.
MLB.tv for a single team is $90 for a season according to the Google. That’s for 162 games.
NFL is 20 games, including preseason. $50 would be my limit.

Owning an NFL Team is not ‘one of the most lucrative businesses in the history of business’. In fact I’m not sure if a single owner makes the majority of their money from owning a team. They make their real money in another market. ( I could be wrong.) Is it an investment? Yes it is. But it’s a long term play, not a short term flip.
Mark Davis, iirc, Raiders are his only source of income. -
I mean… take away all the makeup 🤡 and….

He's actually got a cap hit of $2.4M this year, I'm not saying that's exorbitant but it's the last year of his rookie deal, if Kromer makes something of him it'll be just in time to see him want to get paid.
I mean… maybe that’s what lights the fire under Ford’s a—.Buthim still on the roster just reeks of Beane not wanting to admit he got this wrong wrong wrong.

Honestly slow paws and eyes
Stiff hips and lackluster agility for his build
Camp body rn at best
If he adds another 5 pounds, he could compete… but it’s questionable whether his frame could handle it without slowing him down. 🐾 -

I mean… why is everything so shifted down? A wordmark should be on the chest - pectoral area, not the stomach. Forces the numbers down to the gut regions.

Well that’s a blast from the past.
Was NG’s “What’s Everyone Doing Today?” one of the first incidences of the pixyland guy? I’m just assuming from the You Bastard nm replies….

Imagine where the Bills would be if Beane had been able to swing the Avon Miller trade, instead of the Rams.

I dunno. A lot of people say it was great.
My unpopular opinion… it ushered in an age of pop singing where many stylists emulate this kind of what I call Elmer-Fudd-sitting-on-a-blender vocalizing. Or like a record skipping on the same note for 30 seconds at a time.
It has been said that if the Anthem takes longer than 45 seconds, the singer is making it about themselves and not about the song & Key’s lyrics.

Hey, it’d be pretty cool to have a fellow Husky. But I dunno anything about him. The real test of a GM & scouts is to find guys in smaller programs others might overlook. We’ll see how his combine and/or pro days go.
UConn football is not exactly a prominent program… although there are signs of life as Jim Mora was hired as coach a few months ago.
Nice facility on campus, decent stadium down the highway a bit, but thing just haven’t fallen into place since the death of the Big East and not getting into the ACC because of Boston College. -
White pinstriping around the numbers and helmet logo… but not on the center stripe. The matte finish is turrible. Huge chest wordmark, and on the maroon jersey, they actually outline it with an additional stripe on top and bottom. BFBS - Black for black’s sake. On edit: And no stripes on the pants, just pajamas.
It hits so many of the trash design elements.
🤦🏻♂️.
I can’t see many fans actually buying this dreck. They’ll just wear the previous old ones.- 1

Tangent: Speaking of iced tea, I remember the first time I got a Sweet Tea in the South. I was totally unprepared for it. Diabetes in a red 32 oz plastic glass served by an absolutely delightful young woman. I could not believe how overwhelmingly sweet it was. My boss saw the look on my face and just laughed at me.
Same experience with sweet tea at a ribs place in NC. Like… I could feel all my teeth roots jittering in one instant.- 2

It’s just going to take some getting used to. At least it’s not as clunky as WFT. 🤷🏻♂️.
There have been what look to be reliable leaks on the uni design, at least for a black jersey and possibly a black helmet.
As we say in the Uni Watch FB groups, it’s “Black for black’s sake” = BFBS. I just don’t understand this fad and why it’s persisted among teams that do not have black among their team colors. Sigh.

I think next year v KC you're going to see us rush 3 and drop 8 during portions of the game. And it wouldn't shock me to see our 1st round pick be CB2.
Yeah, it truly seemed like we could’ve blitzed all 11 and KC’s Oline would’ve held up for 5 seconds and Mahomes stepping around would’ve bought him another 5. People talk about pressure like it means anything in the NFL / against the elite QBs. Pressure doesn’t mean poop. Against any good team or any good QB, we never get home. Hughes is always this ][ close to getting a sack but can’t seal the deal.Wouldn’t shed any tears if Star were released and we draft a big DT early. Georgia’s Davis is likely gone by our slot but, damn that kid can do it all.
2022 Bills Jersey Tweak?

In my mind, I think they added it — and did the neck striping just red and a large white in the first of many versions of the collar — just to make it visually different from the Kelly era jerseys… so people would be more inclined to buy the new ones.
I believe it also coincided to when they painted the outside of the stadium black because the white had gotten so dingy-grey. In my mind, I think that’s how they connected the two… which is a very 💩 reason, aesthetically speaking.
