  1. Suspension / fine incoming for Marchand. Actually ripped apart Dahlin's helmet and threw it back onto the ice from the penalty box. How did he only get 2 minutes for that scrum? (I only saw the highlight.)
  2. So this is why women complain about dresses and pants not having pockets...!
  3. Former Sabre Nick Foligno is taking a leave of absence from the Blackhawks as his daughter needs more surgery for a congenital heart condition. Prayers up.
  4. But... once you take away all the makeup and extensions and other accoutrements what do you have? Just another 2/10 who also, allegedly, has a taste for blood and got caught because she can't clean up a mess. The SunShine girls on that newspaper have taken a real 📉 as well, from what I remember back in the day. Oof.
  5. I'm not shooting from the hip here. I was in favor after the AFCCG last season. McDermott has quite simply taken this team as far as he can. Kudos for ending the drought and getting the ship steady. But this is as far as he can go. His defense is even worse through 6 games and his only response is to get even more of the old band back together. He refuses to accept that his core D philosophy of small, slow, & injury-prone can't get the job done. The absolute inability to develop ANYthing on the DL despite so many resources and tons of 💸 spent and we still only get the odd coverage sack? Unforgivable. Having Josh Allen would attract THE best of the best HC & staff to come here.
  6. Anyone just see that FG miss in Pittsburg by Boswell. Ooof. His plant foot took out like a 12" swath of dirt and went 4" deep. The middle of the field looks like it has 4 blades of grass per square foot; otherwise just soft sand. Broadcasters said they were told earlier that the sod is scheduled to be replaced after this game. It's only mid-October and it's like some took a rototiller to it. Hope our turf holds up better than this and wondering what if anything will be different. Real grass in Buffalo will be an experiment.
  7. Hope there isn't a huge contrast between the real turf and FieldTurf border when things start and as next season goes along. Is there any word on what type of grass is being used? I was reading awhile back about buffalo grass that is slow-growing, doesn't require much for watering, and stays green for longer and was like... just for the name, we ought to be having some of that in the grass seed blend. I'm assuming there will be some testing done on how it holds up to foot traffic & sports use either in a couple of months or at latest in early spring.
  8. I don't remember being all WTF while watching the replay and the stadium would've erupted in indignation. What WAS some absolute 🐂💩 was the uncalled intentional grounding when a DL had Maye dead to rights 10+ yards in the backfield, Maye switched the ball to his other hand and did a limp throwaway 5 yards to his right. The receiver #18 they said was "in the area" was about 7 yards away from where the ball landed. So... kinda sorta whatever but that was IG if I've ever seen it, if not by the letter of the rule then definitely by the spirit of it. We were playing the Pats* and Hoculi.
  9. As big an arm as Josh has, in my memory, he just hasn't been very effective at the long ball / deeeeep pass. The few in recent seasons have tended to be INTs which apologists have then called "arm punts."
  10. So sorry, bro. It's been six for me in my years and it's the worst. I lost my previous boy at just shy of 14 in Nov 2023. It crushed me. I'm on the autism spectrum and I don't really connect with people easily and I'm always going to need a dog for companionship and to help my mood. I was just crying so much for a month and then half-heartedly looked on the petfinder and saw a goldendoodle who had a rough start in life at a humane society branch nearby and I hemmed and hawed for a day or two but I did an application that fell through at first (he was placed with another couple, and a week later they returned him bc their existing dog was being very territorial. Upon getting Ace back, they contacted me. And I picked him up on the 9-year anniversary of my mum's passing from a difficult cancer. Was thinking and praying to her the whole time hoping the new dog would like me. And... it put a little bit of light back into that very sad day on the calendar). And it's not that I loved my Ruff the less. It's just... there are LOTS of GREAT dogs out there who need good homes and... for everyone in this thread... you have good homes and love to share. Ace has really helped in the healing journey and he is the goodest boy. And the thing is, this will happen again until it's my own time to cross the bridge and meet them all. And my heart will break again. But....
  11. IIRC I believe we're mandated to wear them once a year for x amount of years.
  12. No matter how many draft picks or %age of the salary cap McD devotes to the DL, we never get pressure or actually get the sack, unless it's a coverage sack or in garbage time. Might as well just sign cardboard cutouts.
  13. Can we never do this whiteout sh ever again?
  14. I mean... they could just do some white over the thin red piping in the end zone to make it just blue and white. Or paint that bit of red to silver. Can pressure-wash it off after the game. But... whatever. I'm not a fan of this design anyway. 🤷‍♂️
