Stupid rule anyways. Within the field of play the ball is ruled out when the ball crosses the boundary line. It’d be easier on the refs to just call the ball out once a lunging ball carrier is ruled out of bounds, i.e., when they are down OOB. These refs are guessing when some WR is angling full-speed toward the sideline and diving out.

Better retire Peterman’s soon-to-be vacated number as well then.

Allen might turn out to be excellent in the pocket - he’s gotta learn to hang in there longer. Mahomes isn’t gimmicky per se - I know he came from the ultimate gimmick offense in college, but Reid designed this around him. There’s nothing about Mahomes that says he can’t also be a pure pocket guy. Reid is just a crazy innovator. The kid is executing the plays Reid’s giving him.

Yes - another elite defense that’s going to be completely wasted this season. How many times has that happened in the last, oh, 10 or 12 years or so? 3, 4? It’s enough. I’ve seen this show already. I’d rather see something close to a modern NFL offense with a sieve for a defense. At least the games would be interesting.

Yeah I listened to it a few times now I think Jerry is just laughing at the Texans offense. That said, i don’t think this Bills’ defense is made up of the type of guys that would revolt, but I can’t say I’d blame them if they did.

Thanks - I don’t see that stat quoted a lot, so I am not certain how they calculate it. If they just throw every play into the pot and bust out the rulers without taking into account the coverage, then yes it’s pretty useless and mostly BS

Just commenting on the separation stat brought up above. I don’t think Allen has been missing him a lot per se, because I don’t think Allen has kept his head up and eyes down the field long enough to even make the decision to throw to Zay, or anyone else. And I have to look at the drop stats for this season, but I’d bet Zay has improved on that compared to year 1. As a whole unit, yes - the WRs are bad. Zay is the best of a bad bunch right now, which isn’t saying a whole lot. Hope he continues to improve.

Hmmm...but I’ve been told by folks around here that Allen is fine just all the receivers suck. They can’t get open and whatnot. Really makes you think ?
