I know some will say that's ridiculous, but he could be the key to getting a franchise QB.

Glenn is worth more to the Bills than any other team.  We know how good he is and we have spent the time healing his foot.

The LT draft prospects are not good this year.  There is a good chance Dawkins would be a first round pick this year.

If the Giants wanted Dawkins and both firsts, would you do it?  I know I absolutely would.  I may be more confident than others that Glenn will come back and be good again, but I need a QB bad right now.

Dallas would easily be the best pass-catching TE on our team.  Why would you be upset?  He looks like Gronk coming out of college. Him in the second round would be a nice move IMO.  He has a huge catch radius for a young QB and then Clay and his injuries, butterfingers and bloated contract could be done in Buffalo

Dallas Goedert at 53 or 56.  GET IT DONE, OBD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think to do it we’d have to trade this entire draft. I wouldn’t even be that against that either. Keep all our picks next year even if we’re bad.  We’d have to sign a lot of guys in free agency.

Well, according to the table-pounding trade up advocates (e.g. MAJBobby) the Bills will have $90 million in cap space after this season.  So, they would be able to go nuts in free agency in 2019.

Keep 21 and 22.  Build the lines now and all the other needs.  Take a shot at a QB in the second round.   We will never have two firsts and  two seconds again.  Don't put all your eggs in one basket or one easter please.

Yep.  Keep doing what hasn't worked for the last 17 years.  What happens if, say, they want either Jackson or Rudolph in the 2nd, but both are gone by then?  What do you propose they do, take some scrub like Mike White, Kyle Lauletta or Luke "Another Mike Leach System QB" Falk?

Good plan, ESPECIALLY IF we can get him without giving up a first round pick.

Mortensen is saying that the Eagles want MORE than the 1st and 4th that they received for Sam Bradford 2 years ago.  So, unless you're ok with Beane giving the Eagles 21, 22, 53 or 56 and a 2019 pick, I don't see them going after Foles at that price.

Yep.   Price is the kind of OL pick the Bills have NOT done enough of over the years.    He's a prototypical Steeler plug-n-play 10-year starter.   Pittsburgh always seems to draft guys like this in the second round range that everyone else eventually wishes they took...

The Steelers have a franchise QB.  The Bills don't.

    Obviously changes the scenario

I am running on the scenario that we do not trade up and keep our picks....and draft Lamar Jackson at 21.

You must love QBs who either take off and run, when their first option isn't available, or are primarily successful on designed QB draws/read options.

Better bk at this stage so we should pay other teams trash 3.5 mil guranteed.  We can find much better for cheaper.  Obviously McBeane has no clue what offensive talent looks like.

I mean these are the guys that made Tolbert a #2 RB  . He's never been a #2 in his whole career 12yrs . He's a FB/ Short yardage bk. These types of decisions do not shine a bright light on these guys.

Oh, and you do?  Remind us, what team have you scouted for that's produced multiple Offensive Rookie of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year awards?

People are blind when it comes to McBeane.  We made the playoffs with the worst team we had statically since Chan Gailey was here. Now they have earned praise for being mediocre.  Btw we lost big time on that Darby deal and the Benjamin deal and the Dareus deal.

@ChrisBrownBills: Report - Brandon Beane OUT as #Bills GM, #TwoBillsDrive member @NastyNateSoldiers IN as GM.  Stay tuned for further details.  #Fans don't get fleeced.

Overreaching for QB's I will never understand.  The depth of this draft is front 7 and interior oline.  So I would load up on front 7 and interior oline, and contemplate a QB at 21.  I would not overpay for moving up.  Since 1998, the Bills have overpaid four #1's for Bledsoe, RJ, EJ, and JP instead of drafting BPA and stacking roster with talent.

so 1st on JP instead of drafting Steven Jackson or Bob Sanders or waiting until 90th pick and selected Matt Schaub

so 1st on EJ instead of drafting Leveon Bell or DeAndre Hopkins

a #1 for RJ instead of drafting Takeo Spikes or Randy Moss

a #1 for Bledsoe instead of drafting Troy Palamuiu or Anquan Boldin

Einstein's definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results

That is why you don't overreach for QB, you don't squander draft picks, and you ALWAYS DRAFT BPA!

So, you're grand scheme is to take BPA at 21 and 22 and then take Luke Falk or Mike White or Kyle Lauletta in the 2nd?

I don’t think they want Hughes at all.  They have 2 good DE, both already getting paid (more than Hughes I believe).  They don’t have a lot of cap room.  They wouldn’t be able to acquire 2 10mill a year players.  There’s just no chance Hughes ends up in a trade to the giants unless they traded JPP or Vernon back to us.

i think it has to be 21, 22, glenn is the base.  Then a 1st next year if we don’t want to give up multiple picks in this draft.  If we won’t trade a 1st next year, then I think it costs us the base plus a 2nd and 3rd this year too.  Jmo of course.

MAJBobby would make that trade in a fraction of a second.
