  1. i would rather see the entire game with no commercials. its just not the same.
  2. the COPS thing aside, i think your point is that football is a violent job, and results in the players being more inclined to become violent when not on the field. i do think foot ball is a violent job, but that most people make a seperation between what is acceptable in society and what is not. putting a hard hit on a WR is acceptable on the field, but would not be if done to some guy you jsut saw on the street. i also think that in these cases of violence agenst women, that football plays a very little role in. if anything him being a "star" leads to that more than football. i just think some people tend to be violent and others dont. and what they do for a living doenst make one in to the other. (with the exception of military)
  3. well, then i completly disagree. of all the nfl players, former players, coaches... you may hear of a few people that have commited violent acts. those few are well known names, so it makes the news. everyday people do WAY move violent acts, but they dont get on sports center, they get on COPS.
  4. is that sarcasm?
  5. it tells us that it did happen, she was asaulted, but didnt want a big deal out of it. she wanted it reported to police, so if it happens again, there will be a history of it. if she said it wasnt like that, that would be diffrent. but she wanted it reported.
  6. why post a link to another topic?
  7. i clicked on a link (in this topic ) that sent me to another thread. i thaught it was about the same thing, and posted there. then i realized it wasnt, and deleted it and reposted here. i did NOT like the misleading link.
  8. "he girlfriend told The Kansas City Star, in a story on its Web site, that the police report was wrong and denied that she was pushed or dragged to the door. Snapp said the woman told police she didn't want Johnson arrested, but instead just wanted the incident documented." that says a lot right there.
  9. if they loose 3 in a row. he gets to play, and take brees's job. if they win several games, they trade Rivers. (probubly to the fins).
  10. exactly. im still waiting for that new higher alcohol content to show up here in NC. (just passed a new law increasing the % allowed). but i still cant find any.
  11. i think most AGREE that Vick is very accurate on the run. but i think he is VERY INACCURATE while in the pocket. he can be something special. but this was just 1 game. we have to wait and see how he handles the game. and when defenses watch film and come up with defenses to mess with him.
  12. it pains me to hear you say that... the "petarded" episode was one of the best.
  13. Bills: 9: The Bills need to score in the red zone, but that said, the folks in Buffalo have to be pretty happy about the balance the offense displayed in Week 1's win. Jets: 18: Wow. We're not surprised the Jets lost to the Chiefs (KC is a tough place to open). But to lose the way they did? Couldn't have been a very happy flight back to New York. Fins: 23: Nick Saban said after the Dolphins' opener that the win wasn't about him. Uh, we're not so sure about that Nick. Broncos: 21: A 34-10 Week 1 loss to the Dolphins couldn't have been part of Mike Shanahan's master plan for the 2005 season. Texans: 29: When your No. 1 WR catches three passes for 18 yards, your No. 1 RB rushes for 48 yards and your QB only throws for 70 yards, it's going to be a very long day. Browns: 32: If Trent Dilfer is throwing the ball 43 times in a game, that's usually not a good thing. (thats my favorite )
  14. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/powerranking...son=2005&week=2 Bills # 9
  15. i bet he also has the lowest average FG distance. i DO NOT LIKE PUNTING FROM OUR 30 YARD LINE!!!!. whats his % from 40+ yeah, thats why i dont like him. but he surprised me last sunday. well see how he does next week.
  16. why... just why. ... freaking discusting.
  17. thats hunting. and thats wrong. so wrong. or atleast thats what the CRAZY PEOPLE tell me. i prefer catfish. less work to catch.
  18. LOL, i hear ya. i dont think it was as popular as many people think. but the fans they do have are some of the most divoted fans. just like Family guy fans.
  19. HBO has alot of good shows. same with Fox. they know what people want. the "big 3" seem only interested in "family TV shows". and i HATE those shows. and Mr. southpark and simpsons... ever seen family guy????? you know you want to add that show to your list.
  20. wasnt he cut by the cards. signed by a team, then cut again??
  21. he is. i expect him to do alot this season. finishing second for offensive rookie of the year. he didnt get that many carries. and that offense is a passing offense. they had some injuries on the O-Line, and have a pass happy offense. he will show his stuff, and eventually be the full time starter.
  22. 1) Family Guy 2) Battlestar Galactica 3) Rome 4) Stargate SG-1 (#4 only cus rome is newer...) 5) Mail Call South Park, Entorage (sp?), PTI, Around the Horn, Stargate Atlantis, Sports Center, Aqua Team Hunger Force.... deserve honorable mention.
  23. my only consern with "speed" is London Fletcher. he was not fast enough to catch D. Carr. Carr would pull away. if carr can do that, what will vick do?? if you manage to contain M. Vick and contain the run game, then you force the secondary to cover recievers for a very long time. this is where most of vicks #s come from. i like our tallent level in the secondary, but we need to keep vick off the field as long as possible.
  24. im told he got "upset" last season, when McNabb said they would be fine without him, due to his injury. then that moron said he was "sensative"... who cares. but i did like the "made for tv" slap hands from McNabb and TO before the game.
