Ouch ! - A Less Than Flattering Culpepper Article
ch19079 replied to Mark VI's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
forget about the "chargers", they are not even sure he can start the season. if hes healthy and can be what he was without moss, then it was a very good move to bring him in. -
you make it sound like moulds is some bum wr who will be lucky to get 30 catches a year. he may be declining, but hes still a #1, and would be our #1 if he was still a Bill.
-
i cant believe you just said that. McGee did make some plays last year, but he also blew some coverages. hes a good #2 CB, not a great #2, and definatly not a great #1 CB. moulds will get 300 yards and 4 TDs if hes covered one on one by McGee.

Analysis of the Team as of 04/04
ch19079 replied to BuffaloBilliever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
crowell should take Posey's spot at OLB. he played great last year filling in for spikes. so with fletcher, spikes, and crowell on the field, i think we have a serious LB core. we only have one starting DT. tripplet. after him noone has shown me much. i see kelsey as the starter over denney. i just hope he can get 8 sacks this year. schobel is solid. when we resign clements we will have 2 starting CBs. but i do think mcgee will still get burned a few times. our #3 CB is what has me worried. vinent is ok. who is our SS? whats his name. o god. maybe we can sign a vet after teh june 1st cuts. SS, DT, #3 CB. those our our major problems on D. and no, i dont want to start a rookie draft pick. -
In the end....Vernon Davis
ch19079 replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i dont think Pope has the same potential as davis. look at shocky with the giants. i want that kind of pass recieving TE. a game changer. all draft picks are gambles, but davis is the closest thing to a sure thing of all the top 10 prospects. -
i bet clements will be on Johnson, so Moulds can destroy Mcgee. but hopefully, Carr will be under to much pressure to throw to either reciever.

if hes tehre at 8 we should take him. i dont think we should trade down because he wont stay on the boards for long. -
What's your prediction of the Bills staying
ch19079 replied to Oneonta Buffalo Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the word "riot" comes to mind. that would be like taking the packers out of greenbay. -
If i were the texans, i would look strongly at Bush with their pick. if they choose to not draft bush, they should trade down to nothing below the 15th overall pick. i would also demand that teams next year 1st rounder, and a 2nd rounder this year. that would give you 1 extra pick this year, and one extra 1st rounder next year. they need to make serious improvements to several positions.

No scrimmage with Dog Pound this year
ch19079 replied to BillsWatch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
didnt we hurt a lot of their players last year? i also remember us killing them throughout the scrimmage. -
thats crazy. trade away a young tallented #1 CB AND draft picks for a college player who hasnt even stepped on to a nfl field, much less played in a NFL game. remember the last top 5 OT we drafted? everyone said he was a lock to be a beast at OT... hes not even on our team anymore. resign clements. and draft a player who falls to us. most likly, a great player will still be on the board at our pick.
-
bills should move up to #2 and draft dbrick
ch19079 replied to valle7878's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
giving up another 1st rounder... no. you will have to give up atleast 2 1st rounders to move up. (this years and next years). all for a player who MIGHT be great. forget that. the last "great prospect" OT we drafted is nolonger on our roster. we should stay where we are, unless we are moving up to draft a QB. -
he is a beast.
-
adams was cut because he did not play most of the downs. he was good for the 1st quarter, and maybe one play after that. thats it. to call him a good player who can stop the run is a joke.

Don't expect us to draft the big names.
ch19079 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yeah, sounds great.... except there are no top 10 safeties in this draft class. and i bet e could get one of the best safeties in this draft class in the second round. -

ch19079 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
a top 10 pick is not going to be a "need" player. it would be stupid to pass on a potential probowl player becaues you just signed a 10 year vet to a 2 year contract who happens to play the same position. in FA, teams try to fill out their roster so they dont have to draft by need. draft picks rarely make much of a contribution their rookie seasons. so drafting a player to fill a starting position is not the best way to go. you draft a player who looks like they can be great. -
i heard the same thing 3 years ago.
-
because it basically calls us losers. it does show how devoted bills fans are. but to have us lose like that at the end of the commercial, they are basically saying we have, do, and will suck.
-
Why not ask for a 3rd rounder from Texas?
ch19079 replied to TC in St. Louis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
because they dont want to give us a 4th much less a 3rd. -
i !@#$ing hate espn.
-
the NFL didnt do jack after teh vikings put in that clause to steal the OG. so teh seahawlks just did it right back. the NFL is seriously droppign the ball on this. basically making it possible for one team to remove the transition tag, and/or restricted free agent status of someone they want. complete bull sh--, and idiotic.
-
because Leinart will be already gone, and if someone wants to draft a QB, Young is the next best one. but personally i would rather pick Davis if he is still there.
-
All the talk is about drafting O-Lineman
ch19079 replied to Like A Mofo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Spikes will be fine, Fletcher is still a very good LB. im not to high on posey, but i think he will get cut, and his replacement is already on the roster. -
not bad, but Young is going to go before Cutler.

I don't understand the "we need to draft
ch19079 replied to IUBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i believe teams try to have a complete team before draft day. if you "have" to draft one position, you are probubly not going to get the quality of player you could have gotten, especially if you have a top 10 pick. nothing ticks me off more on draft day then to see a team say "we need to pick a DE in the first round" when they have the number 20+ pick, and simply take the next avalible DE. you may need a DE, but by not even consitering the other players you are at a disadvantage. you cant pass on a guy who you think will be a game changing player because you just signed an average 6 year vet to a 2 year contract who happens to play that same position. game changing players are rare. so when you have a chance to draft them you should jump at it. the only problem is that identifying those players is dificult. IMO davis looks to be a game changing TE similar to what shocky and gates are for the giants and chargers. Davis may turn out to be a bum, but he looks like he has the best chance to be a game changer (excluding the QBs).
