  1. "is accused of having sex with a 19-year-old who was NOT her student" that says it all. we all just want to see the pics.
  2. the way i understand it, the bills had 10 mil profit last year. but under this new deal we will lose 5 mil. so that projects to 5 mil profit.... not a loss of 15 to 20 million in profits for a net loss of 5 to 10 mil. the only way the bills would be in the negative is if we no longer qualified for revinue sharring. and thats what wilson is so concerned about.
  3. the next team that moves will end up in L.A. they project a football team there would make some major profit.
  4. if you trade nate, you might as well trade Mcgee, McGahee, Evans, and Crowell too. you could get several draft picks by trading them. sarcasm.
  5. smith is a bum. i said it the day he was drafted and i will keep saying it. jp can atleast run. but we havent really seen what jp can do. he is still developing.
  6. 1) last year our passing D was just bad. but nate was still the best defensive back we had last year. 2) ive been hearing that for teh past 5-6 years. 3) not exactly. rebuilding is best done by cutting overpaid, overrated, old players whoes best games are behind them. Nate is young, skilled, and will play for several more years. 4) all draft picks are a gamble. we have no way of knowing if the draft pick we get in a trade for nate is a bum or just as good as nate, or even better. i think teh chances that he will be better are not to good. 5) no. who would you replace him with? how long would we have to wait for that new draft pick to start producing? 2,3,4 seasons... and by that point his original contract will be up, and he will want a big payday just like nate does. so we would be in the same boat. we got lucky by drafting nate. he has played very well for us, and has improved every year. i dont see how you cna build a team if you get rid of the best players, especially when they are young.
  7. V. Davis is the best athlete that may be available at #8.
  8. hes worth a mid to late first round draft pick. but we should not trade him. they say stockpile picks... WHY? drop a probowl caliber player to gain one college player who may or may not be a bum. Nate is proven. hes a solid #1 CB. Hes one of the best defensive players we have. can that late 1st rounder or 2nd rounder say the same? no. if we trade nate we will need to replace him with someone. i dotn care what anyone says about McGee, he isnt a #1 CB. name a FA CB that can be our #1 guy for the next 2-3 years? how much would that guy be paid? signing nate to a long term deal is whats best. we cant make him the #1 paid CB in the nfl, but i would be ok with #5.
  9. sounds accurate to me. and sad when you think about it.
  10. if someone or a group of people buys the bills, they will be moved to L.A. and the team will instantly be worth much more than what the buyer originally paid.
  11. "He had 96 receiving yards all season. There are cornerbacks in our division that I threw to for more than 96 yards last year.” that made me laugh out loud.
  12. www.nfl.com rumor mill half way down the page.
  13. i saw that also. sounds like hte writer saw wilsons PC and said "hey, they must be in trouble, maybe they will move to L.A." the saints have to still be at the top of the list.
  14. he may be soft, but if hes used correctly he can be a big weapon. speed is speed. and with evans on the field at the same time, they can cause some problems.
  15. this new deal may mean the end of the bills in buffalo. that is a big deal to a lot of people. wilson just wanted to make people aware of it. he wasnt whining about it, he was making it clear to everyone what was at stake and what could happen. i consistantly read articals that say we should be happy with the deal because it keeps the salary cap going. but whats the point of having a cap, if you move the bills to L.A.?
  16. there are also incentives for him if he plays well, which would be added to those numbers. it is much less than what he was making with Atlanta.
  17. why is he talking about norwoods kick? it has nothing to do with the topic at hand. he says that wilson should not worry because the bills "SHOULD" qualify. the whole point of wilsons PC was to say that noone understood what they were agreeing to, and it is possible that the bills do not qualify, which would be the end of the bills. i for one would worry, if my multi-million dollor company was resting on the word "should". he says the bills should have been afraid of a uncapped year. again clayton missed the point. one uncapped year and a possible lockout in 2008 is nothing compared to the bills not recieving any revinue sharing, which would again, mean the end of the bills in buffalo.
  18. because when they rank players, they are not only comparing those players to other players at their positons. Ferguson may be slightly better than justice. but you have to think about all the other 1st round prospects. so they are not going to say ferguson is a #2 overall pick and justice is a #3. thre are RBs, TEs, QBs, DBs, LBs, DEs, that are all fighting for that spot. if we take a player listed as a #15 overall pick with our #8 pick, they look at it like you passed on 7 better players, even if Justice was the next best OT.
  19. we do have a lot of speed. i hope we can streach the field. evans and price can both fly, which will leave parrish and reed underneath. all they need is a QB who can throw the deep ball well. can JP do that? we will see. but the problem with both evans and price is that they cant consistantly beat double coverage. they can beat single coverage, but not double. so with both on the field, i see defense using more of a cover 2, and leaving the underneath and middle of the field open. it will also force the safeties to drop back a bit, keeping them from standing on the line to stop McGahee.
  20. they were trying to come up with excuses for his lack of production. he may have had a minor eye problem, but its not the reason for his low numbers in atalnta. vick and crumpler were the reasons he had low numbers in atlanta.
  21. why would he not be a starter? parrish, reed, davis, price. which do you think will be starting? i predict: #1 Evans #2 Price #3 Parish #4 Reed Davis is cut after training camp. i also think we will see alot of 3 and 4 wr sets.
  22. i dont want him to sign a 1 year contract. i want him to sign a 5 year contract.
  23. i disagree. his main problem was the qualifyers. he stated that he didnt know what most of them were. thats the problem. the owners agreed to the deal without completly understanding it. he said, for example, that the state pays 3 mil for upkeep of the stadium. in the new deal that is called revinue. so it is possible that under the new deal the bills wont qualify for revinue sharing. or another example he talked about: each new stadium built has its cost spread around the nfl. so each new stadium costs the bills ~2.3 mill a year. but we get no money in which to pay that with. its just added to our overall costs. 2 mil nothing to the cowboys or whoever, but its a big deal to the bills. the cowboys make 50 mil profit a year, while the bills are trying to break even. and if the bills dont qualify for revinue sharing under this new agreement, then the bills wont survive. it doesnt matter if we hire a great HC or have a winning record. without revinue sharing the bills will be losing money. he also stated that there are other teams in the same situation, but they just dont know it yet.
  24. i saw most of the PC. that reported that said ralph seemed upset due to his tone, was a dick. he said that if hes so upset, why dont you sell the team? that dumbass reported just didnt get it. Ralph gave a good description of how the owners agreed to a deal they didnt fully understand, and still dont understand. and depending on what those qualifyers are, we may not get any revenue sharing, which would destroy the team. i hope they post a recording of the PC on NFL.com or something so i can watch it again.
  25. if we trade down from the #8 pick, we should get their 1st round pick this year, and their 2nd round this year. or their 1st this year, and a 5th this year, and their 1st next year. common NFL thinking, a 2nd this year is worth the same as a 1st next year.
