im just glad Wire is not our starting SS anymore.
-
what did teams offer the bills to trade down? did any team offer a trade? would the bills still have picked in the top 15? would the bills still have gotten a starting SS? would the bills still have gotten a potential starting DT? so many things are unknown that we cant really say that not trading down was a mistake. we obviously had those 2 guys rated high on our board. we got the players we wanted.

Do not confuse criticizing the Bills' draft
ch19079 replied to Berni's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
people criticize the bills picks because our first 2 picks were players who were projected to go several picks below where they were taken. i was not happy at first since i felt the same way on saturday. but since then i realize that both players were rising on peoples draft boards and each were the best players at their positions remaining on the board. to be honest, i would be happier if we got the eagles draft, but its all in the past now. in 3 years we will look back and truely see how this draft was. i didnt like the McGahee pick or the Evans pick but both worked out in the end. if the only reason people dont like our draft is because the players we selected were projected to go 10 picks after us, i can live with that. we got the players we wanted rather than trading down and settling for whoever was left over. -
what would happen if the raiders didnt pick anyone with the last pick in the draft? would they simply remain on the clock for however long they wanted?
-
DB is not a position. CB, FS, and SS are positions. we got a starting SS, a backup FS, and a backup CB. the Pats taking several TEs in the draft was over drafting a position.
-
CB 1: Clements CB 2: McGee CB 3: Greer FS: Vincent SS: Rookie all the other players are depth guys who wont start. A rookie will start, which is usually not a great thing. not a bad line up, but i will feel better about it once clements is signed to a long term deal.

Do you think Nate Clements is a goner
ch19079 replied to Cornerville's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
why, because we took a CB in the 3rd round. what a joke. Drarfting DBs is not the same as drafting CBs. can the rookie start this year? NO. Can McGee be the #1 this season? NO. Which FA CB can we get to be the #1 CB next year? NONE. Clements is not going anywhere. -
not really, i dont think it to far a streach to think that a woman could be sexually harrased twice in her life. but since it was a group thing and did not single her out as a woman, i dont see how it is sexual harrassment, i would simply call it harrassment. the company is just stupid for doing something like that.

i bet ESPN counted that as a hit for bruschi.

Sick of draft guesses, so I researched quotes from

first off, i hope he is going to play OG NOT OT. secondly, one guy said its just as bad as signing Price. but i think signing price was a good move. so hes not great, or even above average, ok.... hes still better than what we had. -
that was a great movie. an old lady being strapped down and shocked over and over... combined with Jennifer Connelly's bush. but seriously, it was a disturbing movie.

ill admit i had never heard of this guy. his stats say he started every game last season, and 12 of 14 games the year before that. carolina had a good o-line last year, but if all we can go on is starts, it can be decieving. starting every game doesnt mean hes good, just good enough. but i like that we are still signing lineman.

The Saints are on the clock...

or we can take some trade offers to move down a few spots (but not more than 5 spots). i would have no problem trading down a few spots and selecting justice. -
"You met me at a very strange time in my life" The final scene in fight club, as the buildings are destroyed in the background. EDIT: i have to add: The scene in Braveheart where the future king throws the sword and charges the british. "No, not again. I... why does it say paper jam when there is no paper jam? I swear to God, one of these days.. Ah. Ah. Ah. I just kick this piece of **** out the window." Office Space "That smell, that gasoline smell... smelled like..... victory" Apocalypse Now

the value chart: http://www.nfl.com/draft/story/6330687 8th overall pick: 1,400 11th overall pick: 1,250 a diffrence of 150 150 is the value given to the 24th pick in the 3rd round. i dont know for sure if the rams have the 11th pick in the 3rd round, but it would be worth 215. EDIT: the eagles have the 15th overall pick. 8th pick: 1,400 15th pick 1,050 a diffrence of 350 FYI, the 23rd pick in the 2nd round is worth 350.

moving from 8 to 11. what does the chart say we should get in return for the trade? in that situation, culter would be taken at 8, but what that leaves 9 and 10 to chose whoever they like. would Bunkley still be there? will Justice? if you trade down, you have to make sure you can still get the guys you want.
-
Bunkley is probubly a better fit in to our new defense. but if you look at his bio, he only had 1 good year in college. but that one good year was great. ngata doesnt seem to me to be a great prospect. hes big, ok, but not a dominant player. and we have no shot at mario so no need to talk about him.

price is rated way to low. his speed alone should get him a higher grade. 2 years ago they had him rated in the low 90s. -
his physical with the fins showed a "bone on bone" injury that should have them a little concerned since the deal is for 7 years and several million of dollars garrenteed.

FWI... Per NFL Network...Texans to take...
ch19079 replied to KOKBILLS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
they are increasing the trade value of their draft pick. but that doesnt mean they will trade the pick. it gives them more options. they may not be looking to trade, but that doesnt mean they wont listen to the trade offers. if a team offers them enough, they may trade down. -
Virtual GM: You own the 1st overall pick
ch19079 replied to Like A Mofo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
if i was the GM of the texans, i would be set on Bush, but i would keep my options open for a trade. i would not trade out of the top 5. i would demand their 1st, 3rd and 5th rounders this year and their 1st rounder next year.
