Rogers is a workaholic....he’s tough.... he can block, catch and run. FB is a rarity these days which is why he’s available.

Wyatt got in the doghouse a bit....committed some dumb penalties.....had to figure out how to be aggressive without going overboard. I know he had a tendency to hold at times. He got his head on straight and worked those things out. Good kid, hard worker...nice guy off the field.

Oh I'm completely relaxed. I'm just hoping the Bills can finally have everybody rowin' the boat in the same direction moving forward for a change. I think the Pegula's set this franchise back several years the day they hired Rex Ryan. He was nothing more than a side show more akin to the circus than the NFL.

It'll be interesting to see how he performs this year in a situation where the head coach, QB coach, OC, GM and owner all actually want Taylor in Cleveland opposed to how it was in Buffalo. During his tenure in Buffalo, neither GM (Whaley or Beane) wanted Taylor.....nor did McD. He technically had three HC"s and three OC's in three years and a WR corps that couldn't stay healthy, or, going into his third year, having his WR corps gutted in the off-season after spending his time and money to work out with them. I have no idea whether he's going to have success in Cleveland but to say he only threw to receivers when they were facing him is a myth perpetuated by this board. If the one preseason game last week is any indication, I see a guy who trusts his receivers and has an OC who knows how to design the offense to his strengths....something Rico and the other OC's couldn't do.

I tried to temper the expectations on Edmunds before last night. His potential is through the roof but he's got a lot of work to do. Barely 20 years old and having to call the defense and play the game. Too much is rolling around in his head right now because the game is faster than what he's use to seeing in college. Plain and simple, he needs reps.....he needs to make mistakes to learn.....he's gonna look far from a seasoned veteran this year but the good thing is, by the time he has a pretty good handle on things, he'll likely be the same age as a rookie who red shirted in college and played all four years.

Nah. I'm an old school guy but something had to be done to keep these guys from leading with their helmets. Compared to 20 plus years ago, the players have gotten way bigger, faster and stronger. I remember when WR's (who were considered fast) ran a 4.6 40. Now you've got some linemen running close to 4.6 40's. When Tony Mandarich (6'6" 330 lbs) was drafted, he was considered a freak of nature. Now you've got high school kids with that kind of size.

Not even close. He can dish out some punishment....that's a fact. It's a matter of being in the right position to dish out said punishment that's the issue.

TE is an athletic beast. Having said that, he's gonna need plenty of film time and reps to get to where he needs to be in the NFL. In college, he did take himself out of plays and he did bite on fakes.....but he was athletic enough, he could make up for those mistakes. At the NFL level, he can't afford to make those mistakes. But the biggest thing going for him right now, beyond his physical attributes and strong work ethic, is the fact he's young. Barely 20 years of age with a ton of upside. Great bloodlines and humble. Hopefully the coaches can shorten the learning curve and he's able to minimize his mistakes. There's just no substitute for experience....no matter how gifted an athlete/football player.

You see he didn't address your question.......he merely asked you two more questions. Haha. As far as the Browns are concerned, the move to get Taylor and then draft Mayfield was wise. If things work according to plan, Taylor will give them stability at QB, he won't lose games for them....all the while, Mayfield can sit and learn a bit. As difficult as the QB position is, how often do we see teams throw the rookie into the fire and watch them burn. It happens quite a bit in the NFL these days. IMO, the Browns are going to be much improved this year and they could possibly go .500. If Jackson plays his cards right, he can get Mayfield some reps along the way just to see how he reacts. I don't care who the rookie QB is.....if he can sit, watch, learn and get some reps his first year, that's the best way to do it. Personally, I don't think any of the rookie QB's in this class could step in and have smooth sailing. The position is THAT difficult.

Obviously time will tell on a number of topics....JA, TT, Edmunds, new Olinemen, Mason Rudolph....the list goes on and on all around the league.
