  1. Time will tell on that swap. I thought that Tyrod was an adequate placeholder for an eventual franchise QB pick. We will see if trading him was a mistake.
  2. I think that I have to go to this game...every since I saw the "frozen tundra" clip on NFL Films, I have wanted to visit Green Bay. The fact that it is September game makes it interesting.
  3. We can use every good receiver that we can get our hands on
  4. Well deserved...this man has been through so much...and stays strong throughout the process.
  5. Yes...thank you...I was going to add him and you beat me to it. Not quite in league with Albert Haynesworth, but up there...
  6. We have had good luck with players from small schools (Fred Jackson/Andre Reed to name a few)
  7. I have a Darius jersey ? I need to get busy and get a new one...hard to decide if I want to go offense (McCoy?) or defense (Edmunds?) or maybe old school (Kelly or B Smith)
  8. Kyle Williams? Are you kidding? No way that they cut him...on the other hand, I don't think that this regime is invested in Shaq Lawson.
  9. Agree 100%...I think we can be competitive with AJ and a strong D. We need to develop Allen first...if the season is going south, we can get him some reps but we need to be thinking long term.
  10. Wow...you are all drinking some funky Kool-Aid if you think that our season rests on the selection of a rookie QB (maybe the next two seasons, but that is a different thread). Get a grip folks...your expectations are way too high.
  11. Allen has an accuracy problem though...he is a "drop back and spray" type of QB. Not saying that we shouldn't draft him..we just shouldn't mortgage our future for him.
  12. I agree...which is why you had better be sure before you give away all of your drafts picks. I hope we do NOT move up in the draft. There is no guarantee that any of the top 4 QBs will be the Franchise QB...I can guarantee that we will be in a much worse position talent wise if we give up all of our 1st and 2nd rounds picks to get one (poitential) savior who may not even contribute in 2018.
  13. AND this is what makes this draft so interesting...TT is average at best BUT do you dump him with no alternative but an untested draft pick or do you spend more money on a guy who is no better (Josh McCown) OR do you keep him while you prep your draft pick?
  14. Agree...but the question is "who is the best QB" and how much of your future do you wager on a bet? For every Carson Wentz there are 10 Jamarcus Russells.
  15. Totally agree with you on this one...I am just not that impressed with this draft class. Not enough to bet the farm with two 1st round picks.
  16. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/22589899/vontae-davis-agrees-one-year-deal-buffalo-bills Does this indicate that the Bills are starting to address their "other than QB" needs through free agency? If so, they may be considering packaging their first rounds picks to move up to take a QB in Round 1. I still hope that they will NOT do this. Better to use the picks to get a 1st round Center and Pass Rusher.
  17. I think taking a second-tier QB in the 2nd or 3rd rounds would be a better value. I hope we don't trade away our 2 1st rounds picks for a QB. The position is such a crap shoot that we would be better served shoring up the O-Line and the defensive backfield in the first round.
  18. Aaagh...horrible idea. We would be better off sticking with Tyrod than bringing in a QB who is on his last legs. Everyone fantasizes over the next great "savior". Sometimes it is better to be patient...Draft a good prospect to go with Peterman and let those two sit behind Tyrod to get some experience.
  19. Couldn't agree more. I think we should trade for a veteran QB who can make deep throws (and provide balance to a great run game)...use the draft to bolster our D-line. We need a serious pass rush. A top 5 defense aligned with a "good" QB can get us to the promised land (as the Eagles just demonstrated)...nuff said.
  20. Use the picks to build a solid team. Trading away picks for a QB is a huge dice roll that doesn't work in most cases. The NFL landscape is littered with "Savior" QBs who don't deliver. I think we all appreciate the fact that a Tom Brady behind a crap O Line is not effective...take the time and build a solid team first.
  21. Agree 100%...well, this definitely proves all of the "we are tanking" people wrong. This is a clear indication that the leadership is gunning for the playoffs.
  22. Wow...maybe you are in a parallel universe...are we talking about the same team? Our DT depth may be horrible, but Darius was not the answer especially with the size of his contract. We could get a number of hungry players for much less and they would be more motivated than Darius was after he received his payday.
  23. Best move so far this season...he was never comfortable with this leadership team AND he was paid much more than he was worth to the organization. I am not saying that he was "sand bagging" but between the off field issues and the attitude problems he was more trouble than he was worth.
  24. haha...this pretty much sums it up. There was no chemistry between Whaley and the coaches who came and went during his "time" at Buffalo. I get the impression that he in over his head...I hope he gets more experience before he takes the reins somewhere else.
