  1. Just so we're clear, this hopeful scenario (which I welcome) DEFINITELY still involves the expulsion of Dan Snyder from the NFL ownership ranks, yes?
  2. No offense, but that exact point was pretty extensively discussed on this board and everywhere else people comment on the NFL with any granular detail. I mean, you're not wrong about those timeouts being like exponential accelerants to our collective righteous indignation. But alas, this pain has been given no shortage of space for processing already.
  3. Little late for fantasy drafts, innit. Plus, a FEW drafts in one night? That's rigorous.
  4. Do you mean to levy criticism of McDermott's late game management against the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2021-22 NFL Divisional Round playoffs?! This is unheard of. How DARE you, sir!
  5. THIS is exactly what I hope Dorsey and Kromer keep working towards. It's how they finally hit their stride on offense last season, and I suspect, despite Roger Saffold's fairly zone-reliant scheme fit, that this unit is already discovering that ain't ***** changed. The current OL personnel (minus the LG) excel when NOT running the wide zone scheme McD has been seeking since he was hired. And again, conversely, we're seeing that what they CAN execute are gap/power/pin-n-pull concepts. And luckily, they have the organizational mindset to abandon preferences in favor of results. I hope they keep moving away from zone for now, in favor of what they do well.
  6. Agreed. I do NOT want this change to even be discussed much. I don't think a large portion of the Bills fanbase could handle it. We should shut up now.
  7. Losing the William Cody part of the team's branding would have almost ZERO impact on how we think about or root for the team. And it's not like you have to stop using the Shout song or other such rituals. It's just that it's kind of dumb and a bit terrible to have a decorated Bison "hunter" and Indian fighter be the namesake of a Billion-dollar team. Those were not noble pursuits, in retrospect. I'm not saying we NEED to do this. I don't even WANT us to. But if we did, I'm good with that, too.
  8. It's when he high fives himself after getting ignored following an offensive TD.
  9. Totally agree. BUT, I suspect there is a Troy Aikman who has actual, human opinions. We just don't get to hear that guy call games. Wasn't there something a few years back where Aikman was caught on a hot mic during a pregame military flyover making some offhand comments to Joe Buck? I don't know. I probably wouldn't like the REAL Troy Aikman, but I definitely would at least appreciate a less wooden personality on the air. Collinsworth, on the other hand, is intolerable to listen to. So "grating," as you aptly put it.
  10. Meh. Bills should probably be the Bisons anyways. ZERO thought of their actual namesake ever, by anyone. It's all just bison imagery and iconography. And it's better that way. I don't know a ton about William Cody, but I could make some guesses at how he gained initial notoriety (killing native americans and/or native bisons, ironically), and neither of them are a good look in retrospect. So if we need to grow past that flawed legacy, cool. I don't WANT that to happen, but I'm FINE if it were to happen.
  11. What if you sound out the letters R-B rather than saying "running back?" Does that sway you at all?
  12. Any insight on the "Unspecified" statuses of various players on the final injury report? I don't recall seeing that status before. Guys like Diggs, Saffold, Jones, and others either did not officially practice this week at all, with just DNP and/or dashes logged, or they are initially listed on the report due to a vet rest day but are not actually being tracked throughout the week due to no officially logged injuries.
  13. Pretty sure his mechanics are very different, though. Can't force a hand injury explanation when a simple, observable fundamental flaw in throwing mechanics explains it already. He rushed it badly on the miss.
  14. Might be a PR attempt (by team and/or agent) to disprove the demonstrable criticism that Mac Jones is a dramatic baby compared to his peers.
  15. On one hand, inject any and all AFCE competitors' misfortunes directly into my junkie veins... but on the other hand, is this really the right thread for a Dolphins injury report?
  16. The X-factor of a team that gives us trouble being against the ropes, trying to ignite their offense by turning to a rookie QB, who seems willing to let it rip and give his guys chances to make plays down the field, in his first start, on the road against a TOP (but dinged up, especially in the secondary) defense... This is what has some fans feeling a bit uneasy. And I can't say I'm not wrestling with the same irrational worries. But objectively, come on...the Bills should do damage this week.
  17. You are relentless. Some consider that a quality...
  18. The bolded is the urgent crux of this entire boondoggle: there was CLEAR, IMMEDIATE VIDEO EVIDENCE OF BRAIN TRAUMA in the Bills game. It was explicit and unmistakable. To see that player re-enter the game was so incredibly disheartening for the ethical health of the sport. And then to watch him play four days later and suffer a compounding injury was downright negligence.
  19. It's a no-brainer to release an unhappy practice squad player. The team can only lose by holding onto, yet not elevating, a PS guy who wants out. Austin might feel like he was so effective in his scout team reps at QB last week that he has earned the elevation this week as a WR. It must be difficult to be so integral to a team's weekly prep and then STILL overlooked as a viable gameday contributor, especially for a vet who was highly drafted and likely sees himself and his value differently.
  20. What about Davis being listed as a Full Participant in Wednesday's injury/practice report, which is in contrast to his DNP or LP statuses the past couple weeks, especially on Wednesday? Also, did you hear Bulldog on WGR today stress how much better Davis looked at practice compared to the last couple weeks? It is possible that Gabe Davis has avoided another setback and is in fact feeling better this week. Sure would be nice.
  21. That's funny: you omit point #2, "2. The unsung hero on 2nd-and-goal," which is in fact my favorite analysis in this piece. It's about Brandin Bryant being the real reason Milano was able to make that 2nd-and-goal from the 1 yard line. Bryant logs a heck of a rep in beating/occupying an eventual triple team.
  22. Never miss an opportunity to throw a bucket of cold water on the Bills and their fans... Keep grinding!
  23. I'm reading mostly about ankle ailments for Davis, but talk in this thread has distilled down to the dreaded Byrd/Watkins boo-boo foot syndrome. Are we conflating things for the sake of simple narratives, or is this in fact an actual recurring foot injury?
