I don't care what improvements they've made or what they look like on paper. As long as Tua's their QB and JA17 is ours I can't put the Fins second. Plus the Bills always seem to start sluggish on previous Week 1's, even against the weaker opponents. Rather tee off on lesser teams and build continuity and momentum before the big boys. Good game to make a statement though.

Maybe so but it's a Baptism by Fire situation. If he falters or gets injured it can get ugly real quick. Having Bradberry or Rhodes/Haden for that matter provides a security blanket and allows Elam to shine if ready or learn behind an experienced vet in the event he's not.

It doesn't necessarily have to be Bradberry but out of the Top 3 vet FAs available, Rhodes and Haden being the others, he's the best of the bunch. If it's all about the money for him then you're right, it's a waste of time. But if he's willing to take a 1 year chance to win a ring it's worth looking in to.

Never said he couldn't. I just think it would be presumptuous to assume so. Elam though promising still has flaws. Remember he wasn't ranked a Top 5 CB prospect by many in this draft, not that it means much.

Dane Jackson. With Tre coming back off an ACL and not sure if he's on the field Game 1 Dane is gonna get targeted a lot and Elam will be tested and treated as a rookie. If Tre comes back true to form and Dane balls out this secondary will be pretty formidable especially if Elam starts to shine early. A vet CB like Bradberry/ Rhodes or even Haden would go along way as a security blanket.

Plus the Chiefs were obviously looking past them figuring the hard part was over with the win over Buffalo. That and their miscues from getting cute during the game killed them. To a man everyone assumes the Bills would've beaten Cincy in Buffalo if it came to that.

Statistically worse, but probably still Top 5. Overall as a unit, better. I expect to see opposing QBs on the turf a lot more often.

Posters here are always saying you can't draft for need, gotta go with BPA. Well Elam was a need. If you go by most if not all prospect rankings he was well behind players like Lloyd, Johnson and Booth. Elam may very well turn out the best of the bunch and I hope that's what becomes reality. But as of today you can't tell me or anyone else that's the case.

Don't think Breece makes it to 57 especially with so many teams knowing the Bills fascination with him. Maybe an under the radar WR like Gabe Davis was.

To me "bust status" is always magnified when it's a whiff on a QB. So for me the pick is EJ Manuel. As far as non QB positions I'd have to go with Mike Williams with an honorable mention going to QB Cravin' Maybin 😂

I don't like highly skilled players from other teams,..... But I do respect them provided they aren't douche bags of society.

Xavier Rhodes is a better option IMO.
