  1. Buy: Shady and Tolbert Duo. Every nice pair that complement each other styles. Hold: Clay. Obvious to anyone with eyes that he will be a major part of the offense but needs to stop dropping the ball. Sell: LB core. Solid tackling but quality QBs are going to pick this unit apart especially if the front 4 continue not getting pressure.
  2. Sometimes I think the best scenario would be if the Bills lost to the Panthers, but barely lost. You know like a last second FG as time expired. That way not losing by a blowout shows the pundits that the Bills are improved but not there yet. If they won they would point out what the opposition did wrong instead of what the Bills did right. They would actually get more respect for barely losing, BUT ID GLADLY TAKE IT IF THEY WON!
  3. I'm glad they won. I have no wish to see this team tank because I think they're better than most give them credit for. I truly think they can be a 8+ win team. I also understand every team will bring a different game plan. Shots down field are nice but must be done at the right time. I recall the shot to Holmes which was a good call and drew the PI. I didn't see any chemistry with the WRs. If we see that come, even in the short game then optimism will grow.
  4. ------------------I'm with you on this. He seemed much improved albeit against the Jets. Outside of Clay he didn't really have that chemistry with his WRs. He hit Zay on a pretty quick hitch and I thought it would continue, wrong. Matthews had one big play but to be fair he missed all of the preseason. Thank God for Shady and Tolbert ran well. This team is better than most give credit for.
  5. If you wish to revel in the numbers produced against a tanking football team that's your prerogative. Its great that they blasted out several 15-20 yd bursts on 2nd and 3rd downs, awesome. This game was a lot closer than it should have been. I for one don't look at this team as a sacrificial lamb. So many are looking for a 2-3 win season like its a given and get so much satisfaction from barely beating a 1-2 win team. I expect more and if you feel I'm delusional then that's ok.
  6. How many of those catches were for 1st downs?
  7. O-line? Shady had a day but let's face it, when we tried to dictate the run they got stuffed everytime. Poyer was like the Energizer Bunny out there. Not sure how I feel about zone defense. McCown and Kearse ate up the middle. I'll repeat that, McCOWN AND KEARSE! Front 4 was pathetic, no push or pressure. Play calling was conservative and suspect. Good win, even if it's against the Jets.
  8. They really don't trust Tyrod
  9. Pathetic, conservative play calling, sigh
  10. Lets hope Dennison can call up a few 1st downs
  11. who is calling these plays?
  12. I hate FG kickers. We never seem to have the right one at the right time
  13. They might want to put someone on their only WR
  14. Too cute on the play calling. Dennison has them on their heels with the run and doesn't bother with a play action. 2 straight runs and then a draw on 3rd and long. Then missed FG! It should be 17-3 right now but we're giving the worst team in the league a run for their money.
  15. Bills should run away with this. Is it too early to say, We're on to Carolina!
  16. Extra bonus, Kerley inactive.
  17. NE didn't really have a problem moving the ball until they fell behind late and the noose got a little tighter around the neck. They will score points regardless but what everyone got to see is that you can move the ball on them as well.
  18. I'm looking forward to the game as every opening day game. But I got to admit that even if Tyrod goes for 300 and 3 tds and Shady goes for a buck fifty and Zay catches 10 for 130, it's still against the Jets. And that alone kinda takes away the feel of progress and accomplishment. And you better believe the media will look at it that way as well. Big deal, they beat the Jets.
  19. --------------True, but now your asking a new coach and gm to take a chance on a oft injured receiver who would cost a them a top 5 first round option. I believe it was 11 mil compared to the 8 mil OBJ,Landry and Mike Evans cost and those guys were more productive than Sammy. I have no doubt when healthy Sammy is the superior WR but players can't perform from the bench. His talent was never in question, his availability was. Also for those thinking we could have received more compensation for the trade are off base. Being able to get a 2nd Rd pick which will most likely be high because it's from the Rams and a starting DB is quite the fetch. It's not the Rams fault the previous regime was stupid enough to give an extra 1st for a WR with no QB in place.
  20. ------------Beautifully stated! Well done sir👍 KC will lose a game or two they have no reason losing this season. It will balance out cause I don't feel their quite as good as they showed last night. They can still go 8-8 but don't care cause we got their pick.
  21. -------It's an incentive, not a guarantee. Performance? 1500+yards 15 TDs? Games played? Maybe all 16? Receptions? 70? Shady is already an elite back. Any additional production is worth the cost IMO.
  22. FWIW, just recently saw on NFL Films the Top 10 Worst teams of all time. At #8 were the Jimmy Johnson Dallas Cowboys. They fired Tom Landry and brought in a supposed up and coming coach. First thing he did was clean house of previous regime players. Then he traded his best player for a boatload of picks. Then he drafted his QB the following year and his team through the draft into a dynasty. Sound familiar? The formula is there and proven, we can only hope the results are the same.
