  1. What a difference patience and discipline can make in a coaching philosophy. McD knows players will fall as the off season goes on. Chance favors the prepared mind. He will weed out the players from the pretenders. Separate those who want to be here as compared to those looking for a payday. Hodges/ Macklin/ Barnidge would be such a trifecta if he can pull it off. This approach is such a refreshing change.
  2. Man that brings me back. I loved that jacket! Very George Costanza "esque".
  3. Man there a lot of good players still available. A lot are on the wrong side of 30 which hurts their stock. In Beane and McD I trust. If there's a vet they believe will contribute, go for it!
  4. WOW! Just WOW! self of steam? You've succeeded, that's hill rally us!
  5. Croom, Towbridge or Thomas. Any TE that poses a threat opposite Clay. Signing Barnidge would be ideal.
  6. No, but it is Top 5 There a lot of teams that are no better than Buffalo but have the advantage of not playing the Pats 2x a year. Baltimore, Cincy, Indy, Houston, Philly, Ari and Wash come to mind. I truly feel if they played in the AFCS, AFCC or NFCW the streak would not be what it is. JMO.
  7. Good signing no doubt. Walks in as the immediate starting favorite for WLB. But why a 1 year deal? He's a young and decent player who should do well in this scheme. I can see another Z.Brown situation.
  8. So you're saying Ramon Humber doesn't do it for you? 😂
  9. Would you have thought the Fins would have won 11 games and a playoff appearance last season with a new HC? Probable? Maybe not, but not impossible by any means. Who? Gilmore? He may prove to be a very good corner in NE, but he was mediocre here and never embraced Buffalo. Signing him for that contract would have hindered this team for years. He never wanted to play here. NRC? Lots of heart but limited slot cover man who is replaceable. TD Mike? Would have loved to retain and certainly a front office blunder, but remember he was a street FA. Shouldn't be too hard to replace. Woods? Good, not great. Did you see that contract? Z. Brown? Used last season as a platform for a payday elsewhere. Again, didn't want to be here unless we overpaid. Agree. Never know until everything shakes out. One or two of those teams will finish .500 or less. Happens every season.
  10. LoL, who has time for all that reading? I see the title and I comment. Sometimes it works, sometimes not so much.
  11. Didn't he bring in Brock Osweiller last season? Oh well, I guess there's a small poop stain on everyone's underwear.
  12. I agree. Miller has played well enough to give the coaches no worries. He was and is part of the #1 rushing O-line in the NFL. Plus they drafted Dawkins who I know they have plans for at RT but is really a Guard and can slide over when in a bind.
  13. It's kinda two fold. It's like watching your mother in law back off a cliff in your brand new Corvette. I'm glad to see a new front office that is more concerned with bringing in quality players that fit scheme instead of overpaying players who really don't want to be here. I'm glad to see a management that will handle the cap correctly instead of giving out ridiculous contracts. I'm looking forward to seeing a healthy and dicisplined roster on the field. Looking forward to accountability and less of stupid penalties. But I see .500 at best, but a step in the right direction.
