Oh I agree with you, I'm just going by their mock as those players mentioned are still on the board after the Bills 3rd round pick.
-
I like Allen as well. But...... Ximines/ Edge Isabella/ WR Ridley/WR McLaurin/ WR Samia/ DL Montgomery/ RB are still on the board and would also be good picks as well.

McBeane is not taking STs lightly this off-season. -
Is Quinnen Williams the next Dareus?

Dareus is the pro I've seen most compared to Williams by many pundits. Oliver because of similar size and attributes has been compared to a John Randle type. -
2 picks in the first seems like a given to me...

OPs Post: Whether Beane trades down or stays put I can see him bundling some picks to move back into the end of the first to nail his 2nd must have. Yeah I understand that part. The OP does mention staying put at 9 which would obviously require more appealing assets to get back in the first. The option of trading down is the obvious one. -

Would love to see it. Unfortunately for us 7 of our 10 picks are 4th round and later. So if we are going to trade up back into the 1st they're gonna have to sweeten the pot. I understand ?'s are found in the later rounds every year but I can't see any team accepting what we have as payment. No way can we stay at 9 and trade back into the 1st without giving up future 2020 picks in the process. -
Buffalo Bills 2018 MVP... Whitney Mercilus
billsbackto81 replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd like to think Allen would have eventually become the Allen we saw after the injury. I do see the logic in a roundabout sort of way though. Kinda like Mo Lewis should be the Patriots MVP back in 2002..... -
I really don't know how I'd respond if Hockenson was the Bills pick at 9. He good, but is he #9 good? Mixed emotions for sure. Kinda like watching your mother in law back off a cliff in your brand new Mercedes Benz.

Will the Bills move up for Quinnen Williams?

Fine. Swap 9 for 2 and give them our 6th and both 7s. ? -
Q. Williams to Bills in CBS Mock Draft
billsbackto81 replied to RyanC883's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes! I'd have the same feeling of euphoria I had when our pick came up in 2009 and Brian Orapko was still on the board. -
I've seen 6-1 205 to 6-2 225 Suffered a few injuries and not known for his academic prowess. Good vision and strong finisher. Always tough to evaluate small school players because analysts will always bring up the level of competition.

Exactly. Not what I would do but solid nonetheless. -
LB - Starters/Depth - Is more needed?

???? ???? No offense, but the guy is hot garbage. Marshall is older (we already got Zo). I do like Brown, always thought he was a good player. -
Which RB are we spending an early round pick on?

I like him as well. No nonsense between the tackles type runner with good patience. Uses his blockers exceptionally well. -

If Allen is real deal, bills make playoffs
billsbackto81 replied to QBorBust2018's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with your assessment. He's got two speedsters on the out side to keep the safeties honest and out of the box. He's got a solid slot receiver and hopefully a tight end to go along with that either in Kroft or a draft pick. The improvements on the offensive line will also help Shady get back to form and help Allens' own rushing as well though I hope he does less of it this year. Looking forward to significantly marked improvement from Allen. -
Both teams were drafting what they believed to be their future franchise QB. Regardless of when the trades were made the Jets ensured themselves of getting one of the two they valued most. Maybe the move wasn't "special" but it was definitely proactive. Acquiring a first rounder from KC. The trade up with Cincinnati for Glenn. All this was done to get their QB of choice in 2018. Everyone knew this, including the Jets. They made the deal the Bills wouldn't. Beane kept his capital and acquired some nice talent but if he coveted Mayfield or Darnold that ship had sailed.
