  1. Not unprecedented in any way, especially with the type of coach McDermott is. He preaches culture, unity, discipline and accountability. It would clearly send a message to the entire team. Plus playing the Jets Week 1 doesn't hurt the decision making.
  2. I think he avoids league discipline but McD might give him something to think about. Maybe a 1 game team suspension. We can beat the Jets without him. Depends on the alcohol results. If inadmissible he may skate on all of it.
  3. Case was dismissed once my defense established the following. 1. Arresting officer had questionable history. 2. Being pulled over for a slow 3pt turn at 2am just because I didn't completely stop at a 4 way intersection established profiling ( I'm of Hispanic descent). 3. FST footage showed what deemed to be no evidence of disorientation. (reasonable doubt). 4. Records showed equipment (breathalyzer) may have been defective due to passed due service requirements. Attorney did that on his own, I never submitted. Showed negligence on their part. Was it a win? Perhaps legally but when you consider time and expense it was very inconvenient. I lived in CT at the time. Most would take the plea.
  4. He's a very good player that deserves to be extended. He may rub people the wrong way and talks way too much, but he's the real deal. How in the world do you sign Bell and Mosely but play games with Adams. I understand he's under contract but if he's a keeper you have to lock him up. Do you think the Bills will play this game with Tre White? Heck no!!
  5. Embarrassing franchise that buys the highest priced FA players that contribute nothing but let their actual drafted talent walk out. Pathetic!
  6. I believe that was the game Kyle (Meatball) Williams treated a fumble recovery like a hot potato that was baked in a nuclear reactor on the game winning drive. Funny to watch if someone can post it.
  7. I'm retired law enforcement so I know the drill all too well. Did they dash cam video your FST? There's a reason most times they record with your back turned to the camera. This way nobody but the officer can determine how good or bad you performed. It becomes his call at that point, advantage police. I ran into an unfortunate situation years back in Florida for what was deemed an illegal 3pt turn. I was lost and over shot my street. Made the turn in the presence of a parked LEO. Had I been drinking? Yes. Impaired? No. Passed the FST flawlessly and still got dragged in. Not to sound privileged but I was hoping for some professional courtesy considering I was a 1/4 mile away from my destination. Nope! Refused the breathalyzer, posted bond and fought it in court. Totally aggravating not to mention time and money. They even laughed at the station using the old Florida adage, " come on vacation, leave on probation". Funny, 11 years later I now live here.
  8. Sobriety tests are a joke. You can walk a tight rope line and touch your nose with both fingers while standing on one leg flawlessly. YOU WILL STILL FAIL!! Once you're asked to submit to a FST get ready to take a ride. All you can do is pray you blow under the legal limit. Most cops know many can drive competently while under the influence. The only way to collar you is if you blow over the legal which we all know isn't much.
  9. Has missed 19 out of 48 games in his 3 year career so far. Not exactly the resume you bring to an employer when looking for compensation. No thanks Dalvin....
  10. Wow! Daniel Jones ranked above (4) #1 overall QB picks. Darnold, Goff, Winston ( granted Burrow hasn't played yet) and only 1 spot below Mayfield. Was he that impressive or were the others that bad?
  11. Niner fans are losing their minds on Twitter seeing Josh ranked over Jimmy G ?
  12. He'll probably get pulled over by a Texas Ranger for Riding while Black. Too soon?...???
  13. To say he wasn't any good is unfair. He's made quite the living being a QB in the NFL, starter or as a backup. I realized he wasn't a franchise QB when it was obvious he had no sustainable lasting potential. He's the classic " lighting in a bottle" type player. Plug him in and he will WOW you with gutsy gunslinger play enough to convince you he may be the answer. Bills, Jets, Bucs, Dolphins. Then the following season, usually after a contract extension the walls come crumbling down. Einstein said the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. Some how Fitz has everyone fooled. Gotta love the guy!
  14. Of course I do. My point is mistakes are made and said. Words are misinterpreted. Williams was malicious, not racial. Just like Fromm was sarcastic, not racial. Brees spoke of patriotism, not race. Sensitivity is at an all time high, like a virgin rounding 3rd base for the first time.
  15. I wonder how long it will be when the media shows up to the Jets facility to ask Gregg Williams if he could elaborate on his " kill the head and the body will die" comment several years ago? You see, I can play this game too! The kid has a little sarcasm in him, who doesn't. Plenty of people and team mates have come to his defense. Maybe it's time for some media circles to fish in deeper waters instead of wading in a stream.
  16. He's on the cusp of signing a contract worth 40 mil a year. He's not saying anything until the ink is dry.
  17. Maybe, but you don't pay someone 17 plus million to take limited snaps. This is why this regime favors very good scheme specific DL players over superstars that consume your cap. We got Tre and then Edmunds coming up.
  18. I think it's great Josh continues to show his determination to be the best he can be. He did this last year with Beasley and Co. and developed nice chemistry as the season started. The one concern I have though minor is it seems Josh doesn't tend to hit his receivers in stride on crossing and post routes consistently. He hits center mass and head high a lot which I guess is fine if your receiver is flat footed in the soft spot of zone coverage. I'd like to see him lead his receivers a little more so they can YAC it up. This is a big year for Josh and he knows it.
  19. ...FIXED ARod is the only QB I would trade Josh for to put us over the top. Let's face it, with this Defense and our Receiver talent as it stands we would be considered AFC favorites along with KC. Something to consider next season if Josh doesn't take the next step.
  20. When I saw the title I thought he had acquired the results of his field sobriety test.
  21. Tre! Not that it matters from a personal favorite perspective but who else on the squad can be considered a Top 3 player at their position?
  22. Dan Orlovsky. The 5 star recruit that committed to the powerhouse football program of UConn University. The guy who in 8 seasons started 12 games with a 58% comp rate, 3132 yds and a 15/13 TD- INT rate. The guy actually ranks Carson Wentz above Aaron Rodgers? Yeah! That guy!
  23. Maybe, but not the sole reason we lost. 1. Levi got taken behind the woodshed by Landry in that game. 2. Chubb had a big game running for chunks at a time. 3. Hauschka missed 2 FG's (34 and a 53 that would of tied it) Still, we had no business losing that game and it could've been the difference in us hosting instead going on the road in the playoffs.
