Looks like John Brown was released
billsbackto81 replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If they feel he wasnt ready for the #2 they wouldn't have cut Smoke. The #2 doesn't necessarily have to be a burner. I value separation over speed in a WR. If they still need a speedster there will be cheaper options out there. -
Looks like John Brown was released
billsbackto81 replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Was hoping he would be opened to a restructure or pay cut. He obviously feels he can get more in FA and he's probably right. When healthy he's proven to be a high end #2. I was expecting more from Jefferson when he was acquired. Not a big loss on that end. -
Bucs Re-sign Levonte David.

Cleveland. They mentioned Milano if they missed on David. -
Kyle Van Noy cut by MIA, should Bills target him?
billsbackto81 replied to nato7412's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not enthused nor opposed. I'll leave it to McBeane to determine whether the scheme fit and salary are doable if there's any interest if at all. -

Bills suggested as trade spot for RB Christian McCaffrey?

He's still in his prime so that disqualifies him. -

Trade up or trade back in this year’s draft?
billsbackto81 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Depending on the cost I'd trade up for a difference maker. Pass Rusher, CB or RB, in that order. -
I think you're a little optimistic on that front bud. 2 years maybe and that's in a rotational game plan on passing downs. Hard pass if he wants 17.5. To me he's a 12 mil per player tops. I'll let Beane figure out years and guaranteed money.

Jason Sanders new contract for Miami
billsbackto81 replied to Utah John's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Drafted as a 7th rounder. The guy was a 2020 All Pro and the franchise tag on kickers is a little over 5 million per. Sounds crazy but it does make sense if a team feels he's their guy. I have no problem with it. Better them than us. -
Is Mongo really a better C than G? I've kinda given up on Morse. I think he's soft in run game, push and blocking and is a concussion away from retirement. Mongo has always impressed me at G. His ability to pull along with his mean streak is what this line needs more of. Cut Morse and look into a FA C or draft one. JMO. Mongo's the best G on the team and sounds like he's going to be reasonable. Why let him walk?

The free agent defensive class is really good
billsbackto81 replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Outside of Gronk and Suh these young guys have to be really excited. What's a better time and scenario to be an UFA than after winning a SB? You got the 💍 now it's time to get paid. Unfortunately the cap limit will be a bummer for them. Still a favorable situation to be in. Never been big on Yannick. Watt would be interesting in rotation/pass rushing situations. Don't think he's the full time monster he once was. -
RIP Marty Schottenheimer

RIP Marty. Only Head Coach I know that got fired after going 14-2. The NFL can be cruel. -
Mcshay Mock has Najee Harris to Buffalo
billsbackto81 replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Dolphins and Jets are going to be hot for Harris. They just won't take him with their 1st round picks being as high up the order as they are. Wouldn't surprise me to see one of them trade back into the late 1st ahead of Buffalo to grab him. -
1. What game plan were you watching? The Bucs ran the same concept and schemes on Defense the Bills did. They just executed them better because their skill position players are just better. 2. As far as the lines go. Defensively it helps having massive guys like Suh and Vea clogging and disrupting an O Line that was missing their 2 starting tackles. Offensively all Tampa did was take what was given as Brady was his usual self getting rid of the ball in 2 seconds and taking the check down every time it was available. Oh and it's amazing how a competent power run game can keep a defense honest isn't it? 3. True, it was officiated differently. The difference was the Bills kept waiting for the refs to throw flags and to take control of the chippy play when it was obvious they were going to let them play "sticky" as Romo said. When you get punched in the mouth you either punch back harder or fold into the fetal and take it. Guess which one the Bills did? 4. The Bucs are a better defensive unit, period. They have the better skill players and executed, it's that simple. As I mentioned in #3, when KC tried getting physical the Bucs accepted the challenge and smacked them back even harder. They didn't wait for the officials though in all fairness they didn't have to deal with the physicality the Bills did because they were actually flagging the holding and PI's from KC. 5. Don't know what any of that had to do with the SB but if you're trying to make the point that Mahomes was brought up and groomed better than Allen while the whole time having an all star cast on offense? Yeah, sure. But make no mistake that Mahomes is then and now the better and more polished QB. He has better fluidity to his game and throws with better accuracy and anticipation since the beginning. Don't get me wrong, I love JA and he is the future in Buffalo but Mahomes is a better finished product. I will admit though Josh would benefit from a Kelce and a better running game.
