  1. It did lead to the birth of the K-Gun No Huddle Offense. Cincy may have started it but the Bills turned it into an art form. Goes to show you it was a copycat league back then as well.
  2. That right there is spot on. Until those 2 units get in sync the underwhelming results will continue. It's on Daboll to ease up on the pass happy love affair and establish a competent run game to keep defenses honest.
  3. Very true. But the Ravens were #1 because of Jackson. I get it though, when your QB is your biggest rushing threat there's a problem.
  4. They were 20th out of 32 teams. Sucked is kinda strong, but it's your opinion and certainly justified as they were definitely underwhelming. They did have better numbers than 4 other playoff teams including the SB champs. Scheme and play design is as much of a factor as personnel.
  5. That's an outstanding job! By his agent.....
  6. Shades of Nick Saban coaching the Dolphins. Epic failure who quit and went running back to college ball.
  7. I came to that assessment after watching the Mia/Ari game. He actually had 4, one call was declined. Also had 2 Holding calls, a facemask and a DQ. I never thought he was as good as many thought, same with Byron Jones. Overrated tandem IMO.
  8. Personally, I'd love to see Beane make a move for Ertz and Richard Sherman. Even if only for one year. Quick bandaids for positions of need.
  9. Wait! Are we done hating Brady? He just won a SB at age 68 for Pete's sake😵
  10. Is this a real question? Even if the QB position is considered a wash the Chiefs offense is significantly better. Much better TE, better RBs, slightly better OL. WR group is close where Hill is more explosive and Diggs is more productive. KC also has better team speed and coaching offensively as well IMO.
  11. Tannehill is mediocre without Henry. Look what the Ravens did to the Titans when they took King Henry out of the equation. Tannehill goes 18/26 for 165. Good move to get Julio because Tannehill does not have the talent to carry his team when the run game isn't there to make his life easy. Tannehill= Game Manager. JA put up MVP numbers with no run game and at times a sputtering defense. Julio if healthy could be the missing piece for them. Him, AJ and Henry is quite the trio.
  12. As far as importance the drive against the Colts in the playoffs was probably the biggest. In no specific order, Week 2 against Miami down 3 in the 4th with 6 minutes left. The beautiful TD pass to a diving Gabe Davis for the lead. Week 3 against the Rams. Final drive for the GW TD with clutch throws to Beasley, Diggs and eventually Kroft. Week 10 against Arizona. No explanation needed. Week 13 against the Niners up 14-7 with 1 minute left on the 10 Josh methodically leads the offense into FG range before the half as time expires. To me it was big cause the Niners were getting the ball first in the 3rd. Week 17 against the Dolphins After throwing an opening drive INT Josh surgically took apart the Fins in a must win for them before departing.
  13. IF!! Oliver becomes what he was drafted for. IF!! Rousseau and Basham come in like DROY candidates. IF!! Star can hold the point of attack so others can eat. IF!! Epenesa takes the next step. IF!! Hughes remains Mr. Consistency. IF! Milano doesn't get injured. THEN! Edmunds has a really good chance of becoming a dominant and possible DPOY candidate.
  14. I'm not expecting Valedictorian status or anything like that. Heck! Every sports program needs a mascot, right?
  15. I think you maybe overestimating Julio's value and potential impact at this point in his career. 51 rec. 771 yards. 3 TDs His age, injury history, money due and potential QBs in the mix. Newton Wentz Jimmy G Tannehill Herbert Jackson Who scares you from that list. Lamar could excel with someone like Julio. Herbert has potential and Ryan T. is a game manager. The others are pedestrian at best. They have no established chemistry whatsoever. IMO I don't see much concern.
  16. I doubt Jim, Marino and Fouts are looking at Flacco, Dilfer, Rypien, B. Johnson and Foles thinking I wish I had his career. From a "QB" perspective I guess you're right. Fair or not it's about the bling when it comes to the position. Yes, it's a team sport but QBs get all the credit when it's great and all the blame when it sucks. Like you said, at least he's got Ace Ventura on the resume.
  17. Wow. I guess during sport conversations you 💩 all over guys like, Barry Sanders Calvin Johnson Warren Moon Eric Dickerson Fran Tarkenton Dan Fouts Randy Moss..... Personally you don't have to like him but as a player you have to respect him. Other greats do and he earned it as well.
