Love McKenzie but we'll be fine. Most kick offs are touchbacks anyway and Micah can field and fair catch punts until Isaiah gets back. He will definitely be missed on jet sweeps and trick plays.

I'm just curious. It appears a few disagree with my opinion on releasing him. First let me say I respect your opinion as you are of course entitled. But honestly what has he shown in the 3 seasons he's been here? We were all hoping he'd become the second coming of our beloved Meatball. In 3 seasons he's been active 31 games and started 3. He has a grand total of 0.5 sacks in that time. He's only played 33% of defensive plays on average even when healthy and a lot of times appeared over matched. I get that he's a good dude with high character and is community active but that doesn't win games. Please, give me some type of reason as to why he should be kept? Jordan Phillips was much more productive and he wasn't retained although I understand not wanting to pay 10 mil. per like Arizona did. Meh, maybe I'm wrong and it wouldn't be the first time. JMO..

You don't know what his development would've been like with another team. Chicago just like the Jets had idiots running the show. Better coaching and acquisitions might've made a big difference for Trubisky and Darnold for that matter. I think many take for granted just how fortunate Josh was to land on a team with a staff that has competence and vision.

That might be a little harsh. Understand that many teams have established starters at the QB position and others have developing prospects like Tua, Herbert and Burrow and Hurts. Bringing in an established vet could quickly mess with the mind set of a young QB trying to solidify a QB1 spot and set back their development. Look what happened with Tua and Fitz. Fitz in the wings had Tua looking over his shoulder. You really think Trubisky couldn't start for the Jets, Miami, WFT, Phi or Carolina? Shoot, you don't think he can start for Chicago? 😅Tough spot for him to be in.

Chances are they'll be elsewhere next season. Maybe not together but you never know. Daboll is definitely going to get a gig with some team. His schemes are absolutely artful and he seems to only to be getting better.

Hollister and Kumerow came in with that's 80s glam rock hair and Rocked us like a Hurricane and secured roster spots. McKenzie proved he's so much more than a gadget player. D line looks much improved as it continues to get consistent pressure on the QB. So pumped for this group. Daboll continues to draw up exquisite pass patterns that seem almost indefensible. Also the screen game looks to be more prevalent this year. Look for the running game to take a big step forward.

Can almost guarantee the Pats pick him up if he's cut.
