  1. He's good, just not as good as he thinks he is. Without a complimentary player on D he's not the difference maker you want. If Jones plays and if I were Brown I'd smack his bad wrist every snap possible. 😈
  2. From what I've seen so far Judon has been an absolute Beast for the Pats.
  3. I noticed that too. But he's also agreeing to all the predictions that have the Bills losing, yet for some reason I don't see any comments from him suggesting why. Hmmmm.....
  4. Whether you feel it's justified or not, the whole "they haven't played anyone" narrative it's getting old fast. Schedule strength is determined by previous season rank and record. Ok, the Texans stink. But Pitt was a 12 game division winner. Washington albeit 7-9 was a division winner with a supposedly great D. Miami was a 10 game winning team many thought were on the rise. Teams that weren't playoff worthy last season are all of the sudden being talked about. Cardinals, Chargers, Cowboys and Panthers. Happens every season. You play who's on your schedule, period! And you make no apologies for beating teams whether by 3 or 30 points. Sure it'd be nice to beat KC by 14+ in their house. I wouldn't bet on it though. I just want the Bills to show the league and KC in particular that they belong and deserve to be mentioned as a Top tier SB contender. Hoping for a good game win or lose. Go Bills!
  5. I don't think the first game in the regular season was a bad game plan. They allowed CEH to run and kept everything in front of them limiting the BIG chunk plays. It was a good plan considering the factors that time. 1. No Milano to help with Kelce. 2. Weather was bad making it difficult to slow the run game. 3. Lack of pass rush and pressure. 4. Covid really hurt game prep with the Tennessee fiasco the previous week. Even with all that IIRC we were only down 6 with over 6 minutes left and just missing a fumble recovery deep in their territory. Hopefully Milano plays. Hopefully weather is dry and calm. Hopefully our revamped D front makes Mahomes uncomfortable. Hopefully we pull out the win. LFGo Bills!!!
  6. I don't hate Edmunds but let's face it, Edmunds would make the HOF if he played against Davis Mills every week. Play well against Mahomes and I'll gladly have the biggest slice of crow for dinner and humble pie for dessert.
  7. This game can very well come down to who has the ball last. And yes, the refs can very well be a determining factor. Phantom holding and unjustified PI's are in play.
  8. Haven't you heard? Justin Herbert is better than Allen. At least that's the word on the street! 😏
  9. They didn't call it in the AFCCG last year when they absolutely mugged our receivers. What makes you think they will call it now? They cried like lil babies when TB did it to themπŸ˜‚ All I know is the Bills won't get away with wasting RZ opportunities. IIRC they had 4 wasted trips against the Texans ending in FGs. That won't cut it against KC .
  10. Mahomes is the "default" QB when this topic pops up as well it should. The rest is subjective and opiniated. Allen, Herbert, Murray, Jackson usually follow as filler. Herbert was in the spotlight so it's convenient for Sheftner to mention. Don't be surprised if next Sunday night he says, Mahomes and Allen are this generations Brady and Manning.
  11. Fair point GB. Burrow may end up like David Carr if Cincy doesn't step up and get him protected. Herbert just looks the part granted surrounded with more skill. Herbert like Josh just look built for the long haul. Durability is critical for today's QB and though Burrow isn't slight by any measure but he'll be up against it, kinda like Tua and Miami's O line.
  12. You're right in the sense that if the individual has talent it will be evident regardless of the presence of talent or lack thereof. But I do feel you're mistaken if you think that not having quality players around you won't accelerate your development as a QB. How's Sam Darnold doing now that he's on a squad with good skill players on both sides of the ball? He looks like a totally different player now that he's off that dumpster fire of a team in New Jersey. How do think Herbert would be doing on the Jets? I'm sure he'd show glimpses of promise, but success? Doubt it. Herbert is very good and at this stage and it's fair to say he's farther along than Allen was in his 2nd year. He also has the benefit the Bills had last year as an under the radar team that no one took seriously until they snuck up on everybody. I'm not stamping "Elite" status upon him until he makes the post season and wins a couple games. His arrow is definitely pointing up though. πŸ‘ Glad he's not in the AFCE.
  13. You can't compare QB's like Mahomes, Mayfield, Jackson, and yes Herbert to someone like Josh Allen. They all were drafted and stepped into already established quality rosters ready to contend from the jump. Imagine if Allen had Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, Jarvis Landry, OBJ to throw to as a rookie. How about being able to hand it off to Nick Chubb, Hunt, Ekeler, Ingram, Edwards? Or having a Bosa, Garrett, Derwin James or any Ravens top defender? Allen had Kelvin Benjamin, Robert Foster and Zay Jones at WR. Frank Gore, Chris Ivory and an older McCoy at RB. Charles Clay and Jason Croom at TE.🀣 This is what sets Allen apart from the others. You felt and kinda knew he was going to be special even before there was any real talent on the team. Imagine how much farther along he would be if he stepped into a quality roster as a rookie like Herbert, Jackson and Mayfield? This is why I liken Allen to Tarzan. As the saying goes, No Man Started Off With Less. FTR: I think Herbert is an outstanding young QB and easily the best QB from his draft class.
  14. Thats a great line Virgil! Great read as always. I've been following Oliver closely this year and it appears that with Star back in the mix and hell bent motivation the light switch just flicked on. Not trying to hijack but here's a great clip of the work he's put in so far.
  15. Oh agree 100% on that. Just saying Star might've made the D even better that game.
  16. Not too sure about that. The D line got pretty close several times getting to BIG Ben. Maybe Star's presence might have occupied another blocker allowing better pressure and possible sacks they missed out on. Maybe....
  17. Wow! Pats had -1 yards rushing that game. NEGATIVE 1!!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  18. Pats spent millions in FA and are tied with the Jets and Fins. Gotta love it! Division locked up by mid November.
  19. Let's hope this crew is nowhere near KC next Sunday night.
  20. That call had no effect on the play whatsoever.
