Hard to beat the Chiefs and the refs every post-season
Zerovoltz replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I will say this once again about the third down spot......that happened right in front of the Bills bench. AND if you take a minute and watch the replay....his elbow is down before he extends the ball. ....so again...the Bills entire bench was staring right at this in real time....IF they saw a bad spot, they surely would have challenged it...and I am sure someone is in Seans ear telling him they'd seen the replay and it was a good spot...no challenge. No need to wast the timeout there. If you disagree with this then make a case why there was no challenge flag thrown? -

There were 5 fumbles in this game.....1 by KC and 4 by the Bills..the Bills recovered all 5. There were 2 interceptable passes thrown by Allen. KC dropped both. Not every bouce goes KC's way. -

....That 3rd down happened RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE BILLS BENCH... 1. they saw it live.....and if you pay close attention to video...the reason they probalby didn't challenge that spot was because Kincaids elbow hits the ground before he extends the ball. Surely they also have someone watching the game and replay in Seans ear saying yes or no to challenge...............and they didn't...........but................ 2. If you watched that and though the spot was bad....you have to challenge that! (I don't think it would have changed the spot and the Bills would lose a TO) 3. KC had been standing up to that Allen sneak over left guard all game....did they expect anything other than an extremely close judgement call on the spot after how that play had been going? Call a boot action with a run or pass option....that had been working all night..and Kc wouldn't have stopped it for no gain. -
....(I know, I am not the guy you all want to hear from....but whatever) I agree with this....The Chiefs are a good team with a deep roster. The Bills have given KC ALL IT COULD HANDLE every single post season they've matched up..and always are just barely on the short end of the stick. It's not the time to reset or tear it down. You'd have to keep plugging away, trying to build more depth, and hopefully hit on a high impact player or two with all the picks. Getting the QB is the hardest part. you guys all know that. You have that part. Your O line is good which is one of the harder things to put together. I am not in Buffalo and obviously you guys are way more familiar with all of the dudes on your roster than I am, but from afar, I think the Bills do have some really talented guys worth keeping and building with. Allen (Obviously), Cook, Shakir...your O-line...I thnk Oliver is a very good player....Milano and Benford....but you guys are thin at depth on D...and your DB situation isn't so great. I don't quite understand the advocates for a reset....? You are consistantly 3 points or less away from the SB every year....what does a reset look like that is different and gets you there as opposed to plugging away at it and trying to improve the roster now? Is a roster purge really the answer? I can't see how that would be better.

The holding was whoever was covering Kelce......away from the play....it was blatant. -

I remember a time when I felt like this as a Chiefs fan. After all the first round losses with Marty....and the high flying offenses with Vermiel that came along with a defense that could stop no one....and then the dark ages of Scot Pioli....a LB shooting himself in the head in the parking lot...I'd had enough.....was emotionaly invested and kept wondering why I cared so much? ....but what I found when I stepped back some, was that I enjoyed the sport, the drama, even the complaining and questioning what was going on with my team.....I missed it...even the bad losing parts..because ....It was just a natural part of who I am and what I like. I couldn't quit if I wanted to...no matter how bad it got. .....I just had to adjust a little and realize that football was something I did for entertainment...win or lose....not base my whole outlook on winning or losing...just to enjoy it for what it is....a game that we analyze and follow and form opinions on and study....its a great game and it's fun to be a fan...even when things are at rock bottom. I'd bet after you stepped back for a bit...you'd find you'd miss it...even if the Bills were 7-10....you'd miss the 2nd guessing and the FA signings and draft.....the tinge of hope every training camp....that maybe this is the year. I know...easy for me to say now...but I've been there. -

Play to Worthy should have been ruled incomplete, but there was defensive holding on that play and it wasn't some phantom call...it was obvious....so would have been Chiefs 1st and 10 back at the 20 or so. Still a big play and bad call, but not the huge game changer it might appear to be. There was a facemask on Elam..that wasn't a phantom call. Don't give up. You have a top 3 NFL QB. Always a chance when you have that guy. -

First...another epic game...not that it consoles any Bills fans..but the Bills are a championship caliber team. Second. On the 4th down play...I can't argue if he made it or not. What I have to say about it is, it was ruled short on the field...and the replay, you can't see the ball...so I don't know how you over turn that. I will say I don't understand why it was automatically reviewed. I don't get why the Bills didn't have to throw a red flag on that...they are given a free challenge there. (not that it mattered) Third....If Kincaid makes that catch (and he probably shoud have) then that is a legendary play and it's all anyone is talking about now and all next week. That was a heroic throw by Allen. I thought he had it for the briefest of moments and my heart dropped to my stomach. Fourth...There were 4 Bills fumble and the Bils recovered all 4. and a couple of passes Allen threw that the Chiefs DB's dropped...that wa 6 TO worthy plays and the Chiefs went 0/6 on those...while KC fumbled once...on a botched handoff..and the Bills got it. The bounces were in the Bills favor. Fifth...Pacheco went OB on the first down late...gifitng the Bills more or less another TO...wich at least gave the Bill one last chance before Perine caught the dagger. I will tell you regardless of what KC does in the superbowl....KC is up against it with the cap this offseason...there will be some very very painful goodbyes and the roster will churn...perhaps the AFC will be more wide open next year than it's been in a while and the Bills finally break through. We'll see. Hopefully our teams will battling it out again for high stakes next year...it's always an exciting matchup. Respectfully - Zero.- 106 replies

I'm not going to make a prediction. I will root for the Chiefs. They are certainly good enough, exerienced enough....well rounded enough...to win. And they play too close to the margins too often...and the Bills are an outstanding team....KC could easily lose. I expect a good game. 1. I don't think the pressure is really on KC...most of the roster is multiple ring winning players....if everyones career ended Sunday....just about all of them would feel like they had great careers with at least 1 or more big fat rings...they've already reserved a place among other dynastic franchises now with this current run and the 3 peat is a goal for sure, but it's not like it's some monkey on their back....it's completely expected we won't get it. 2. I would say if there is some presure on KC, it's that this grouping knows a lot of roster churn is coming this offseason. KC has too many good players due for contracts and can't pay them all.....so if they don't get it done this year...that's it for many in this group....KC will have to sort of reload/reinvent itself starting with FA (no money) and the draft. 3. I think there IS some pressure on Bills...but you guys would know, you are there...but I'd think if he can't get the Bills to the super bowl yet again, McDermott could be in jepoardy? IDK.....but having been snakebitten by KC 3 times in the postseason recently has to be on everyones mind. .....doubt can creep in quickly....if things get close. If I had to guess what KC will do.........On offense........probably going to try to get the run game going. KC will want to loosen up the safeties and try some deeper stuff if they can get the back end opened up. If KC can't run...it will be a tough day trying to dink and dunk drives and end with TDs instead of 3's. On defense...I fully expect KC will commit a spy to Allen, and ask the pass rush to worry more about containment than than actual sacks....at any rate...if there are sacks of Allen, KC is going to want those coming from inside...while the ends maintain the edges. Probably going to annoy the hell out of me how open your RB's are out of the backfield doing this. I don't think KC is scared of your wideouts...and will play a heavy dose of man coverage....probably try some elaborate blitzes. They will make this about Allen winning with his arm if they can. If the Bills can get the run game going...will be a long day for KC D. KC Special teams are hot....KC will pounce on any Bills special teams miscue. that's all I have. I am glad we get to see each other yet again in the post season...things are as they should be. If you guys beat us....I'll be rooting hard for the Bills to win it all. Good luck Sunday!

Week 11 - Chiefs at Bills Game Week Thread

LOL ....sorry....better late than never....real life caught up with me for a bit. If I didn't do so somewhere around here already...congrats on your win over KC...and ....well...looking forward to perhaps meeting up again this post season! -
No worries. As you all know...I'm not always right either. But, gotta brag a little when you are sometimes. KC 3-0 by the skin of our teeth. I will of course be rooting for my Chiefs all the way, but I feel like the Bills are unencumbered by internal drama, or over the top expectations...they look loose...look like they are having a lot of fun. The chemistry is on point. I won't be surprised KC just runs out of steam in the end. I think we are seeing the decline of Kelce....Andy's starting to loose his edge...so much off the field stuff going on....it weighs a team down. And injuries too. I hope we can do this three peat thing, but it's never been done before for a reason (many reasons) ...it's F'ing tough. If it isn't KC...I'll be rooting HARD for the Bills.
