  1. He reminds me of Tebow at this point. Great athlete. Good runner. Charismatic. Not accurate.
  2. ....I've been going through life all wrong...at any given moment, I am two hot chicks away from an awesome threesome.
  3. Points allowed per game LA RAMS 23.1 KC..........24.0 We are within a point per game allowed from the most expensive defense ever assembled in LA. Just something to think about as the schedules balance out over time. KC started off playing A LOT of high powered offenses while LA started with the opposite. Yards per play allowed. LA Rams 6.0 KC..........6.0. Again...the Rams are the most expensive defense ever assembled. Percentage of drives ending in a score LA Rams 38.7% KC.........40.2 % .....one of these is the most expensive defense ever assembled...one of them isn't and has been missing it's too most experienced and highest paid players most of the year.... Sacks LA Rams 26 KC.........31 (tied for 1st in the NFL) ....The Rams have spent and invested a TON of resources into their D.... Opposing team Completion PCT% LA Rams 64.9% KC.........63.2% (good for 10 best in the NFL) .......investing heavily in a bunch of D players maybe isn't such a good investment? ....but continuing on Interceptions LA RAMS 7 KC..........11 ....I don't need to explain the injries and turnover in our secondary compared to the highly paid pro bowlers the Rams have do I? .....The myth of the Rams defesne was just the product of playing a bunch of nobodies to start the year. Also...KC has played one of, if not the most brutal schedule in the NFL. On the ROAD at .....the Chargers, the Steelers, the Patriots, the Broncos (who have held the Chargers, Rams and Chiefs ALL to their lowest point totals of the year) At Home VS Jacksonville, when they were still the no.1 D. We of course play ON THE ROAD at the Rams, still have another game VS the Chargers coming up, and also AT Seattle...plus Baltimore at home.
  4. Anderson is pretty much a one year only mentor...Barkley at minimum should be allowed to compete for the 2. I'd still bring in someone with a bit more chops than Barkley to be that mentor/keep the team in games veteran presence....I don't know if Barkley is that guy. ...on the other hand, there really aren't any of those out there now who are going to be on the market......I kind of wonder if Bortles might be done in Jax and moving on to the "veteran backup" stage of his career next year....I suppose even if he is, he might not be ready yet to accept his fate and will want to compete for a job somewhere (like Miami or the Giants)
  5. Aussie Joe....I'll accept that as an answer....I am not asking to make a point...just wondering at what point folks think is reasonable to see some tangible results from Allen? Frankly, I don't expect any this year...next year is when you need to see something..and by about week 8 if the kid isn't getting it, I'd be worried.
  6. Question. If Matt Barkley can come in on 11 days prep, start, and go 15-25, for 232 and 2TD's ....can you keep using the excuse of "no line" no WR's, no supporting cast for Allen? At what point do you have to say, produce with what you have? Barkley just did.
  7. Obviously I am looking forward to what Mahoems does every week, but as an observer of the Bills, and seeing your awesome D week in and week out....I am very interested to see Allen the rest of this year. IF you have SOMETHING there, the Bills are going to be competive.....I have always said I don't think Allen can do it...but it should be fun to see IF he can...I'm rooting for him. Would be fun if the next GeN power in the AFC was KC-BUF-CLE.
  8. This continues to pop up from time to time...and it's about as lazy a take as there is. Alex Smith, in his 13h NFL season, playing in this system with the SAME players, coaches, playbook ETC...couldn't put up these numbers. I keep hearing Mahomes has a lot of schemed open targets....he DOES...so did Smith. Mahomes does a couple things few other QB do...and if you watch a game or two of Mahomes playing..you can identify these EASILY. 1. He scans the field. I rarely stares down a target, and often will look one way and almost no look to a target the other way...safeties and LB's are frozen solid. 2. When he gets flushed out of the pocket, he keeps his eyes downfield, and the arm talent shines because he can deliever strikes at distance even as he is running, and can do so throwing accross his body. ....Mahomes clearly benefits from having a solid supporting cast....just like Alex Smith benefitted from all the same supporting cast...Buffalo would at worst be .500 with Mahomes.
  9. We aren't far off.....I'll put it this way....If the Chiefs had taken Watson, and we were getting the production out of him that he is giving Houston...most of us would be pretty happy about it....and we'd be thrilled to have drafted our own guy who would allow us to be competive for a decade or more. Houston has the hardest part of building a team taken care of now...the QB and they will probably be able to put a contendor or two together over the coming few years. Watson is better than a Tannehill or a Mariotta for sure....the Titans and Dolphins for example, even though they "have a QB"....they don't really "have a QB". I hope that makes sense. Houston certainly has a QB and they are, and should be happy with it.
  10. I really like the QBR stat as a measurement of QB play. Watson is 16th. That is good. If you are Houston, you are thrilled he is your guy and you know you have that piece in place for the next decade if he stays healthy. I can't speak for Bills fans, but I would assume many would be glad to have him....and I'd bet some would reject him as middle of the pack and happy to see what Allen becomes. .....my only point in posting in this thread was to counter the OP who seems to think Watson is elite. He isn't. He is good but in the mid range of QB, not top 10.
  11. yes, you do. He lost to the Giants at home.
  12. Watson is a decent QB thus far....but you cherry picked some stats here. He is actually now SIX and 3 as the starter but ALL 6 of those wins have been against teams with a losing record except 5-4 Miami....at home. 3 Game winning drives? Anyone remember the "Drive" he had after the Colts failed on 4th Down in Overtime? Or the "drive" he had when the Cowboys decided not to go for it.....in overtime? Impressive stuff. Watson's last 4 yardage totals. 177,139,239.213. He hasn't thrown for over 300 yards in a NON OVERTIME game since a week 3 loss to the Giants. He does only have 7 INTS, but he also has substantially fewer attempts than Brady and Mahomes. Passer Rating continues to be the single most garbage stat out there....try QBR of 60.2 Watson..good for 16th in the NFL...or exactly AVERAGE. ....also worth mentioning Watson is 2nd in the NFL with 7 fumbles. ...and only 1 rushing TD....Brady and Mahomes each have 2.
  13. Only QB in NFL history to go over 3000 and 29 TD in his first 10 starts.
  14. Couple of notes. with Kielce Hill Hunt and same system, Alex Smith produced his career best season in 2017 topping 4000 yards for the first time in his career and throwing 26 TD passes, a career high. Smith was a horrible Red Zone thrower, completing only 44% of his passes. KC as a team was awful in the Red Zone. Mahomes, with the same cast, has thrown for 26 TD passes, in just 8 games, leads the NFL in passing yards, QBR, etc etc. i concede that Mahomes is helped by having the Ferrari offense to run, but I do not concede that others would look as good doing it. Smith is a decent QB His BEST effort was equaled by Mahomes, in his first year, in half the games. someone mentioned Vision. Ding ding ding. Winner. The kid has incredible ability to make reads. He keeps his eyes downfield. Combine this with his “arm talent” where he truly can fire to all fields from any platform and get it to a spot with power....it’s incredible to watch. Just FYI the online has a pro bowl right tackle, an adequate left tackle. And the interior is injured. Already on our 3rd center and 3rd right guard due to injuries. Left guard is ok. Interior pressure has been more frequent as a result but Mahomes overcomes it by rolling out and firing wherever anyhow. There red is a compilation somewhere of defenders throwing their arms up in disgust game after game because you do everything right, flush him out, good coverage and he burns you anyway. personally, I think Allen could still have a chance to be good. I would measure his progress against Trubisky, and quit comparing to mahomes.
  15. You wouldn’t escape it. Every kid in Kansas City is Pat Mahomes for Halloween. The fam base is all in. Also, just think how much better Mahomes would be if he had won more games at Texas Tech.
  16. If they lost the entire Buffalo market and gained the entire Canadian market, the next TV deal will make the owners way more money still. im Not knocking the Buffalo market. It’s similar to KC. All I am saying is that if the Bills (or anywhere else) aren’t locally viable, the NFL will be glad to go to Toronto etc. not to St. Louis, or San Antonio etc. NFL Gaines Zero by relocating domestically.
  17. The NFL doesn’t care about any new or decking domestic markets. The revenue is mostly from TV. Non NFL markets already watch a lot of NFL football. The NFL can only expect to grow the revenue by adding international markets. if the Bills or Chargers or Jags move, it won’t be to St Louis or San Antonio. The days of growing through domestic markets is done. London, Toronto, Mexico City. Possibly two London teams. If the Bills leave it will be an international destination. Keep in in mind that the owners would rather enter international markets with existing franchises as opposed to expansion because you share the added revenues with the same number of teams and not having to split those up with more new owners. Losing 25% of the Buffalo TV market is a non factor when you can gain the entire Canadian market by relocating To Toronto
  18. This line of reasoning is not very sound. If you are inclined to think Watson and Mahomes couldn’t succeed with Buffalo then you have to ask who possibly could AND, then you’d have to be critical of the Bills for drafting the ultimate project QB. This logic just turns into a hopeless circle. our team is bad, we need a Qb. If we take a QB, he will still suck because our team is bad. Ok, our team is bad, we need a QB. We will ruin him because our team is bad. If if you want to say Mahomes would be breaking records if he were a Bill, that is valid, but if you think Mahomes or Rodgers or Marino would just suck because they had this roster, is a lazy way to evaluate a QB.
  19. It does not matter.....that's fine they ruled it a "pass" but there is no such thing as an incomplete backward pass....the ball is live unless it goes out of bounds....it is NOT incomplete.
  20. The ball ended up being thrown BACKWARD....that is a lateral...there is no such thing as an incomplete backward pass...it has to be recovered by someone becasue it's a live ball
  21. WTF....if you are calling that a "Pass" then it was a lateral and a live ball! how do you screw that up?
  22. We Chiefs fans are still clinging to the hope that it will.
  23. Thought I’d give you all an update on Ragland in KC. you win. Ragland is playing in the wrong era of football when it was important to have that run stuffing thumper at MLB. Its not working out here in KC. Ragland is virtually useless as he can not cover and he isn’t even able to make plays in the run game. He lacks speed. KC drafted a guy named Dorian O’Daniel in round three this year out of Clemson. He was a tweener safety LB type. He finally got real snaps this past week. Talk about night and day, suddenly were able to cover the back out of the backfield. Raglands time here is short. It’s very clear he is a relic from another time. congratulations.
  24. Go watch Mahome week 17 last year when he played 3 quarters of the game with all back ups. He looked like he looks now. Then read the Broncos post game comments. Three quarters with backups was enough to sell them. second, if you believe 85% of QB could put up the same numbers as Mahomes, then trading away a first and a third for a QB in a draft loaded with high end defensive talent, that KC is in dire need of, would seem like a poor way to use draft capital when you could have signed McCaron, Bridgewater, Keemum, Bradford, McCown, Tyrod, Cutler, Fitzmagic, etc. I would contend that no where near 85% could, and thats why he went and got Mahomes
