Allen with the blatant fake slide on the long run, then later draws a 15 yard penalty on a late hit on slide where the defender didn't hit his head.....but can you blame him for going for the tackle based on the fake earlier? The slide is a play intended to protect the QB, not to do what Allen did. That was garbage.

The penalties are terrible....when he lines up right, he's been fine. Orlando Brown sucks. He leads the NFL in pressures allowed. Drops from KC have been brutal at WR positioin. Rice is legit. Merry Christmas and happy new year to you as well.
-
Most were ready to cut him a long time ago. Hopefully you guys saw my post predicting we’d lose because the WRs make too many mistakes and I thought it would keep happening….and it did. Rice fumble, To ey offside. Same thing all year. Too many mistakes to overcome.
-
Congratulations. It went like I thought. KC wrs can’t get out of their own way. Same thing all year. Lots of good results for the Bills. May just be your year yet.

It’s Chiefs week - and the season is on the line
Zerovoltz replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Some thoughts about the game - First let me say, I don't feel good about this game at all. I think the Bills are a very good team that has just had a combination of the worst luck, some very untimely bad coaching decisions, and some untimely mistakes. All teams have these, but it's just amazing to me how these things have hit the Bills in games this year, at just the most inopertune times, over and over again. A random spread of bad things happening, and you guys are probalby a 9 win team right now and looking to take the 1 seed. With the scenario having played out the way it is though, it would really help the Chiefs overall playoff chances to knock out a dangerous threat now, while you can. A Bills loss would be ALMOST the nail in the coffin for the playoffs. I'd really prefer KC to drive that nail home while we can. That said...KC has some problems. The biggest one is that this group of recievers have struggled all season to run the Andy Ried offense. Specifially, Ried asks the recievers to adjust to what the defense does within the route they are running. The idea is to identify and then run to empty space. Kelce has been very good at this his whole career. The rest of these guys not so much. I've watched a ton of all 22. Here is a short summary of each WR. MVS - often sent deep, and when he gets deep it's clockwork that the won't run AWAY from the deep safety...ALWAYS turns toward that safety, and so when Mahomes throws that way, either he misses completely because he expected MVS to run AWAY from the safety, OR since MVS has run back toward coverage, you have a contested throw. And in the very rare instance MVS gets it right, there is a good chance he'll drop the ball. He is useless being used this way, and this is the only way they use him. More on that later. Skyy Moore - I thought he was worthless before the draft (I have tweets proving as much) and haven't seen anything in 2 years to change my mind. I've never seen a dude so lost when it comes to route running. He makes up for it by being short and unable to jump, unable to separate, and he's not fast enough to run away from anyone either. A Complete waste of a roster spot who keeps getting snaps. Justin Watson - People forget he got into Tom Brady's dog house in Tampa and never got out...for done the same crap he does in KC. Also not a master of reading the D to find open space. Too often run TO the coverage and not away from it. Drops too many passes to make up for it. Not fast enough to run away from anyone. NOT CLUTCH. a below average WR whose box score stats look ok because of his inexplicably high target share. Rashee Rice - The only guy with real promise...and while he's not been great either at the idea of running away from coverage, he's a rookie and you can at least say it takes time to learn that skill in this offense. In the mean time, while he has suffered some drops, he has been very effective on slants and crossers. He brings something of value to the table and is getting better each game. Wish they would up the snap count. He's by far the most effective WR they have. Richie James - Injured most of the year, now back...I'd like to see more of him and more snaps...dude seems to be able to get open if nothing else. Kadarius Toney - They don't seem to trust him much...but when he is out there AND he's not hurt..he's got electric moves and has had some big plays running slants and crossers....I assume they don't trust his routerunning to do more than that a few snaps a game, but at this point, I'd have him out there way more. Ok...so when you read that, you should know that the offense has been MOSTLY what it was last year, the difference being that this group as a whole are drive killers. They don't perform / execute and this more than any other problem, is why KC has consistently been down in scoring. Also, I am not telling you that they are about to figure it out and bust out with some 35 point games. They'd have done it by now. They are who they are at this point. A team with WR's who are LIMITED. They can squeeze a little more out by giving some higher snap counts to Rice and running more stuff that this group CAN do which isn't much, but more short slants, crossers, quick outs, WR screens. Asking these guys to go out and find a hole in the zone 15 yards downfield is too much to ask these guys to do on a reguarl basis. In games where they at least catch the balls that come their way, KC can still put up some points, (Riaders, Chargers games) Bad Routes, drops and penalties ALL in the same game and they can't overcome it. KC runs the ball OK. Not great, not terrible. Some small part of the problem is the poor passing game. PA doesn't affect LB's VS KC....teams don't respect that PA pass when KC runs it. KC is frustratingly bad against light boxes..and again from watching alot of all 22...their run play designs call for interior linemen to always double up down linemen...even if there are only 2 of them...the line too often doens't just man up the guys in front of them allowing for the free G/C/T to go find a LB to block. On plays where they do get the linemen upfield to the next level to block, the run plays are way more successful. Frustrtating that by design, they don't do this more often. I will say, Kc's line does a poor job of keeping dudes blocked and often a lineman / LB is able to get off the block and make the play on what often looks like a play with a good hole and space to run. Too eays to come of the blocker and make the tackle. For KC to put up some points, they will need to CATCH everything that comes their way and being on the same page as Mahomes by running the right route goes a long way toward that. Also, it's clear at this point, Pat doens't trust his WR's (for good reason) and will hold off a 3 or 4 throws a game that look open....he just doesn't trust it...and he ends up checking down, running or getting sacked. Not the same as in the past. On Defense...for several games, KC had been starting 2nd string MLB Drew Tranquill. he's been decent...he got hurt VS packers and KC was down to 3rd stringer Jack Cochrane....calling signals. KC got misaligned a few times. I believe Bolton will be back...should help that alot. Kc will be without Bryan Cook...one of the starting Safeties..but Marc Edwards is a capable replacment. If the Bills can just keep the pressure off of Allen and limit Turnovers...it could be a long day for KC...and if you can get the run game rolling, even bigger bonus. All in all....I don't see KC winning this game. The Bills backs are up agains the wall. They are a better team than their record indicates and KC is limited/flawed making this a tough tough matchup for us (Chiefs) I don't forsee KC WR/offense doing anything out of the realm of what they've done all season. Bills 27, KC 20 This is entirely incorrect. -
Looking back to Bills at Chiefs in Oct 2022
Zerovoltz replied to Ray Stonada's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you guys are going to redeem this season, you've caught KC it a good time. We got problems. -
I would guess it wouldn't be taken well. I would also guess you'd not be visiting to make new friends etc. In this case, I admire the Bills. I enjoy watching the Bills and Josh Allen. Fun to watch. Allen is a great player. I've been enjoying the Bills and Allen for a while now. Not that ANY of that matters.... I'd like to see the Bills win a Super Bowl. I really wish in a way that 13 seconds didn't ever happen. We ended up losing to the Bengals the next week anyhow...and I think the Bills were at the absolute peak of their power when that happend. I have now doubt the Bills would have won that SB and I would have been cheering them on. The Bills would be the most difficult obstacle in the way to KC winning anohter AFC title if they made it in. (not that KC won't have a loss in the playoffs anyhow or that it's a forgone conclusion we make it) If hte Bills get in...and they play the Chiefs..I'll look forward to the game and welcome that the game will be challenge. And if the Bills were to get in and KC didn't make the SB and the Bills did, I'd root for the Bills..... But yeah...I am here on a BIlls board...saying I'm glad about a very very stong Bills team not making it to the playoffs.
-
Absolutely! As a Chiefs fan, I am rooting hard for the Broncos (Complete frauds) to get in. For Cleveland (no QB) to get in, and would be happy to MISS Buffalo altogether. The Bills would be the most dangerous 7th seed ever. Imagine being the 2 seed...let's say it's the Jags, Ravens, Dolphins or Chiefs and the Bills are the 7. That would be something.
-
If the Bills don't make it (and it's looking rough right now) they'd be quite possibly the highest rated team by DVOA to miss out. A really good team, on the wrong side of every bounce, the wrong side of every little coaches decision, the wrong side of untimely turnovers and missed field goals. All at the worst possible time every time. Amazing.
-
Yeah....it's scripted. Nothing the NFL Loves more than having the Chiefs be a contender year in and year out while BOTH NEW YORK TEAMS SUCK, the Washington team sucks, the LA teams suck, the Chicago teams sucks....and Cincy has been good...the Bills (despite the lack of a SB) are a top team....what a script! Let's make are smallest, LEAST populous and diffiuclt to market teams, the best ones out there. And let's make sure the three biggest markets are horrible. Officiating sucks for everyone.

We're Going To The Playoffs. (edit: Updated - Super Bowl)
Zerovoltz replied to Doc Brown's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes. I was actually at the one in Denver. As this is a Bills board, Id think this isn't really the place for me to go in depth breaking down the Chiefs VS Broncos this year but to summarize, KC moves the ball up and down the field on those guys in both games. KC stumble, bumbled and herpa derped 5 TOs in the game at Denver and pretty much all those combined with the drops etc KC has struggled with were mostly KC shooting themselves in the foot. In the 11 Point Win in KC...KC again, red zone trip after red zone trip herpa derpa. I would tell you after watching a ton of All 22 on KC this year 90 pct of the problems KC has scoring is that the WR corps has been AWFUL at both drops AND reading zones. They seem to have gotten it to gether at least a little bit VS the Raiders..but that's just one game. Bad habits are tought to break. -
We're Going To The Playoffs. (edit: Updated - Super Bowl)
Zerovoltz replied to Doc Brown's topic in The Stadium Wall
My 2 cents. As a Chiefs fan that wants the Chiefs to win another Super Bowl, I do NOT want to see the Bills make the playoffs. You guys are plus 101 after 11 games. It's flukish that you find yourself in this position with your record. The Bills would be a tough out in the playoffs and IF you guys can get into the playoffs, would be like wiping the slate clean... Id rather see......the BRONCOS. Funny how football works sometimes. The freaking Broncos have a half way decent shot to make it in as we sit here. They are fools gold! in their 4 wins prior to Cleveland, Denver was +11 in turnovers and only had a +20 point differential in those games. The won 3 of those games by a combined 5 points. They were plus 2 against the Browns who are down to garbage at QB as it is. Now their schedule gets quite a bit more favorable and they have some good tiebreakers, including a crucial head to head VS the Bills. Denver has a game VS the Texans this week...they will probably lose, but it would be bad news for the Bills if Denver gets yet another AFC win. The only other hard game left on Denvers schedule after that is at Detroit. Everything else is winnable including a game VS New England. Two VS the Chargers and the Raiders one more time. It would be a HUGE break for ALL the AFC teams if a 10-7 Denver team claimed the the 7 seed while a 10-7 Bills team stayed home. But that's where we are. -
We're Going To The Playoffs. (edit: Updated - Super Bowl)
Zerovoltz replied to Doc Brown's topic in The Stadium Wall
Basically it's pretty simple. If you just assume the Bills win VS the Chargers and Patriots (these SHOULD be wins!) Then you need to go 3-0 : @ KC VS the Cowboys @ Miami That's a tall task. Winning 2/3 of those ....probalby pretty realistic to expect...all 3? ....rough road ahead. If you LOSE 1 game out of any of these last 5, and finish 10-7 ...the tiebreakers are BRUTAL. You guys would need all kinds of help to be a 10-7 playoff team. -

11 wins would do it...but 10 probably won't because of all the bad tiebreakers the Bills don't hold. That Denver loss was BRUTAL...all the way around. -
@NoHuddleKelly12 I posted this back in OCT 2021 here to help out those traveling to KC for that years game. Just keep in mind these are all my opinion, but I've been told these are pretty spot on...also...lets this be a guide to help you find what you like...there are TONS and TONS of BBQ places all over town beyond what I've mentioned...chances are you go into one, you'll find something good there or good about it. KC folks are very proud of the city and I am sure you'll find everyone nice etc. IF you can't make it to get some BBQ out on the town...just show up a few hours early to the game. Arrowhead is in the middle of a giant 80k car parking lot and everyone tailgates...the smoke can be seen and smelled from miles away and EVERYONE will be happy to share a beer and some of whatever they got cooking with you! Anyhow...here is the list...Hope you enjoy your visit! Community Member 1.5k Posted October 7, 2021 Some KC BBQ comments that might be useful to those visiting KC....and remember, just like everyone has different opinions about what wings are best and what constitutes a good wing......same is true with KC sytle BBQ...these are my opinions.....and I'm not trying to tell you what is best or worst...mostly I am trying to tell you what to expect. Most KC BBQ places are really good. The sauce means more in KC than it does in places like Texas or Memphis etc. 1. Joes. Joes is no.1 on alot of lists for good reason....it's good stuff. If you want to make sure you limited time in KC is utilized on a sure thing....go to Joes...order a Z-man sandwich. the Z man is an absolute good. It's impossible not to love it. Joes has other really good items too, but this is the signalture sandwhich and it's outstanding. The sauce is a traditional, rich, sweet/smoky KC style sauce. 2. Q39. slightly upscale...but wow....you can't miss with the burnt ends plate or a Mr. Burns sandwich. The sauce here is a bit more dark and rich, but still KC sweet. 3. Jackstack. The most upscale of the KC BBQ places...Jackstack is notable for it's vareity of ribs..you can get pork ribs here..but you go to this place because yo uwant beef or lamb ribs...so good! Also...if you are into fried mushrooms....you should try them here...they are huge and tasty. The sauce is slightly less sweet than typical KC sauce...still quite good. 4. Arthur Bryants. Not located in a great part of town, but no one will bother you right near the restaurant, especially during the daytime. Bryants is one of the KC originals...old school. If you want a heaping mountain of meat between 2 pieces of bread with good sauced and a staggering payload of fries for a goog price..you go to Bryants. The combo sandwich and fries will feed an army for days. Sauce here is bit more peppery....still good though. just sweet enough. 5. Johnny's. If you want a slab of pork ribs....in my opinion...Johnny's are the best. Good smoked sausages here too. Sauce is typical rich sweet KC sauce. 6. Slaps. Slaps is almost more famous for their variety of good sides than for their meats...wich are great too. Slaps is a joint that you either love or hate due to the sauce. Slaps sauce is the SWEETEST sauce in KC. Almost like putting sweet maple syrup on your BBQ....it's not that far off. If you prefer a darker, richer, smokier sauce, Slaps isn't going to be your thing...but if you like it sweet with good sides...this is your place. it's quite popular. 7. Smokehouse. Nothing notable...they kind of do everything good...just not great. Reccomend the burnt ends here....sauces is a typical rich, sweet smoky sauce. 8. Zardas. This one I think I problaby rank higher than most in KC...The BBQ BEANS at this place are incredible. Best beans in KC. You can buy them in most local grocery stores. so good. They have some decent specialty sandwiches. The "Hog Wild" or Average Joe are both good. 9. Woodyard BBQ. An off the beaten path type of place...unique in that they operate as a BBQ wood supplier primarily, but also operate a small BBQ joint thats quite small...most of the seating is outdoors so if you do go to this one...pick a nice sit outside kind of day. The pit is outside next to the trees/outdoor seeting as you arrive. Smells so good. These guys offer traditional fare, but usually have a speciality item or 2 at any given moment...if they have it...try the BBQ Cheesesteak...so good! Sauce is typical KC style sauce. 10. Gates. Another of the KC originals. Lives more off reputation than anything these days but you can still get good food here. You may know this places as the joint wehre they yell "HI MAY I HELP YOU!!!" as you are standing in line...you give kind of yell your order back to them..all the years I've been and somehow they never screw up my order when you think surely this disorganized chaotic system can't possibly get good accurate results..but it does somehow. Gates used to have some of the best ribs in town....best way to enjoy gates is either a beef on bun with fries, or just get a mixed plate and share it with a friend. Gates by default, usues their original sauce on things....and gates original sauces is peppery. I really like their sauce, but they also have a sweet n mild version that is also very good and more typical of a KC style sauce you find in most places. They've also got a hot n spicy version. If you aren't sure about the sauce situation, when you are ordering just yell up at the lady....for example beef on bun DRY! Or "MIXED PLATE DRY" they won't put any sauce on it...then you can grab some of each and see what you like. ...don't get me wrong on my rating here...I could eat at GATES all day....but KC has so many others...and better to choose from.... 11. Rosedales. The last of the old schoolers...Rosedales is pretty cheap....it's not especially good, but they do have some stuff that's decent and well priced. Smoked sausage sandwich is really good. Alot of folks like the corn nuggets and fried mushrooms. You can probalby get a slab of ribs here cheaper than anywhere else in town. Rosedales has a very vinegary tart sauce....more familiar to texas BBQ than KC. As a kid, my dad would buy a slab here and you'd eat it but try and pick around the sauce...as an adult I can appreciate the sauce now, but it's not for everyone. Hit it up if you like a tart vinegar sauce.....or a cheap slab of ribs (with said tart sauce) ...or a pretty good cheap smoked sausage sandwich.....and some corn nuggets. Here are few to avoid...in my opinion....the first one might be Rosedales...probalby not a place out of towners ought to try out....would ruin your first ever KC BBQ experience...but its got its good bits...anyhow.... Smokin Guns in Norht KC. Always slow and seems dry and pricy. Haywards....meh Danny Edwards. This place has the wierd distinction of not having particullary good BBQ at the restaurant...but their catered meals are pretty damn good. Skip if if you can. Bandanna's. Not sure they have a location in KC anymore....think they still operate out of St. Joe, MO. Either way...very MEH. Dickey's Somehow this texas chain remains in businees at various locations...if you happen upon one. DO NOT ENTER. This is Texas chain BBQ. It SUCKS. If you do go in, just remember ths is NOT KC BBQ...we don't claim it. Texas barely claims it. Want some good sauce to take home? Stop in any KC area grocery store...you'll find a whole damn isle of nothing but BBQ sauce. FUN FACT: When babies are born in Kc, the hospital gives them a droplet of KC style BBQ sauce If you find a hole in the wall place not mentioned here...try it...it's most likely good. There are many I didn't mention here. And last....IF BBQ isn't your thing or you get tired of it and want something else...KC has an incredible mexican food scene that's hidden in the shaddows of the BBQ places.....go hit up 7th Street/Argentine district....Taqueria San Antonio..El Polo Rey and so many others down there...GREAT mexican food.

From a former McDermott Supporter: It is OVAH
Zerovoltz replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
After 13 seconds....it's a big ask to get everyone to get fired back up and buy back in again. Even with the Bills bing plus 101 this year...the close game loses just instill the idea that bad things will happen at the end in close games and that the coaches aren't a steadying force, and don't have winning answers in that crucible. That stat about a coach/QB combo that doesn't win A SB after 6 years together NEVER wins one....holds true. It's time to move on because the Bills need a fresh outlook and clean slate. -
Your Gretzky trade though here......has given me something to think about.
-
I would say I don't think the strategy is wrong If you can find servicable dudes....problem is ALL of what KC has have been bad at running routes and hanging onto ball...I think they probalby thought the odds were that one or two of these guys would be good enough. ...that said, Rice has probably been the best of the bunch but he's a rookie and they have kept his snap count down....he's earned a bigger share. Anyhow...usually by week 10 you kind are who the stat sheets say you are..but mabye KC WR's get thier crap together here toward the end...IDK.
-
...I stand by my post for the reasons outlined in that post...but my GOD...the group KC has can't run routes, can't catch a cold...can't hold on the the ball if they do catch it. (sorry to repsond to this late...haven't logged into TBD for a bit)

Why the Bills don't care and neither should you
Zerovoltz replied to Hermes's topic in The Stadium Wall
I wouldn't be so quick to be in despair about losing to the Pats. It's a bad loss for sure. The Bills are suffering some serious losses due to injury. The Bills are good enough to over come that, but you've got to willing to give the replacements some time to get in where they fit in. As long as Josh Allen is upright, the Bills remain a potent threat. When the injuries come like this, the goal becomes to just make the playoffs and see if you cant things right at the right time....plus, you have Allen! -
It's Miami week! That means HAIKU
Zerovoltz replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
some people don't know the rules of a haiku do better people Dolphins versus bills big game in the A F C K C still one seed ....ok I'll see my way out
