I know.....I have read some people who put a great deal more time into this than I do, that go game by game for every team and make the records all come out even. It's a legit point you make, but If I had a team called at 3-13 and they go 4-12....the idea is that I am predicting them to be a bad team. Just as I have said 7-9 on the Bills....that could EASILY be 9-7 or 6-10...they are in that range.

Again..I admit my KC bias....but, allow me to address some concerns you bring up. 1. We've missed Mitch Morse even before he was gone. Really good player when on the field, but he hasn't spent a lot of time on it the past few years. The line was better when he played, but the offense was just fine when he didn't. I don't think the guy we have now is better, but if he is healthy all year, that would be a plus. 2. I can tell you that the off field stuff has NOT affected the cohesion of the team. You'll have to take my word for it. They are FINE. 3. Backfield questions? We actually rushed the ball for more yards per game, more yards per touch from the RB position with Damien Williams starting after Hunt was cut. We are good. Plus, I am not trying to be a homer...as just an objective observer (yes, I know none of you believe that) watch out for Darwin Thompson. He is going to be a star. The offense has a legit chance to set the NFL scoring record. The question is going to be how well (or bad) the completely retooled defense is. I am guessing it won't be as awful as it's been....but it's low bar to clear. 4. I am very well aware that a 50 TD 5000 yard season is just not something anyone should realisitcally expect to repeat. I am also telling you that the Chiefs are going to throw more, have more weapons than last year if that's possible (they do....the previously mentioned Thompson..and Mecole Hardman is for real) ....The regression, if there is one...won't be much. As far as Jets and Bills....It won't be a popular opinion, but I like the Jets offense just a LITTLE bit more than the Bills. I think Bell is way overpaid, but I think they will get alot of him as runner and reciever, and I like Robby Anderson as a wideout better than anything the Bills have. I do think Beasely is going to really help Allen alot and I do think Allen is going to improve...I am just inclined to think that Allen takes a small step forward, If I liked your backs better, I'd put them over the Jets....to me both teams are kind of close...the Bills have the far better D, but I like the Jets O better. It wouldn't take much of an argument to talk me into 9-7 for the Bills or 6-10 for the Jets...I kind of think they are both in that range.

Obviously i am biased toward KC..but I have no doubt KC should put up 13 or more wins and have the 1 seed. The Cardinals are a team I see being REALLY awful to start, and then they start to kind of get it toward the end of the year. 6 is probably too high...but I think they'll finish better than they start. I follow the Broncos closely. They aren't winning more than 6 games...if they are lucky.

Here is how I see it. Mods, feel free to move this to another room, delete etc....I like to get these on the board for further reference to either brag about or be made to eat crow. Anyhow...here they are.... I know you've all been eagerly anticipating my NFL picks for 2019, and here they are! NFC East 1. Dallas Cowboys - 10-6 With or without 'Zeke, this is a solid, complete roster. They are a tough out at home and their D travels well. They aren't without flaws...they need the running game going for the offense to click. they don't have a legit threat at TE and they have slow safties wich can be exploited. They benefit from playing the Redskins and Giants twice. 2. Philadelphia Eagles - 9-7 The offense hasn't been the same wihtout Riech and Foles. It's also not entirely clear if Wentz can return to his good form prior to his injuries. They do have a pair of stud TE as targets and they added outside speed in DeSean Jackson. The weapons are there. I just don't see this team winning all the games it should. 3. Washington Redskins - 6-10 Everyone talks about the dreadful QB situation, how the coach is in hot water, how Trent Williams isn't happy....and that's a shame because this team has assembled a very good defense. Ultimately, it won't matter. The offense is putrid. They win 6 by sheer will of D. 4. NY Giants - 4-12 This win total is based on the idea that Manning will start most of the games, he will suck and Jones will come in and take lumps at some point. The Defense isn't spectacular either. Saquon Barkley is worth 4 wins by himself. NFC South 1. Carolina Panthers - 10-6 This division has been tough for the past decade. Rarely does anyone repeat as divsision champs. Cam is back healthy. I think he's matured a bit as a passer and he's got some good pieces around him. The D in Carolina is consistantly good and should be at least good again. That's all good enough to win this tough division. 2. New Orleans Saints - 8-8 I'm calling for the Saints demise here based on the idea that I think Drew Brees is done. I know they were a bad penalty away from advancing to the Super Bowl maybe. I dont' think Brees has it in him to climb that mountain again. Teams will play close to the line and dare brees to throw deep….I don’t think he’s going to be able to. 3. Atlanta Falcons 8-8 This team is less than the sum of their parts. I think they’ve lost faith in their coach. They haven’t recovered from that super bowl loss and they never will. 4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – 5-11 Bruce Arians is a good coach. He has a couple of good WR, and he’ll be trying to get Jameis Winston to get those guys the ball….A LOT. Unfortunately, they can’t run the ball and their defense sucks. NFC North 1.Green Bay Packers 11-5 A happy Aaron Rodgers will return to his rightful place as king of the NFC North. With an improved playbook and some promising additions to the D, the Pack is back. 2. Minnesota Vikings 10-6 Kirk Cousins gets the talented Vikings to the playoffs. A healthy Dalvin Cook helps. Fans are still pissed that the Vikings don’t go 16-0 with Cousins and his contract. They lose in round 1 of playoffs. 3. Chicago Bears 7-9 The roster is talented enough to win more games than this, but often young teams that rise up 1 year, and suffer a loss in the playoffs as heartbreaking as the Bears did, often suffer something of a let down the next year. Mitch Trubisky isn’t all the good..his very mediocre numbers were heavily skewed by that 6 TD game against the hapless Bucs. You can’t take that game away from Mitch, but if you do, he threw 18 TD in 15 games. That isn’t good. 4. Detroit Lions 3-13 The Matt Patricia sh*t show continues! When I see the Lions, NOTHING on that roster stands out, nothing is exciting or trending up. They aren’t imaginative on O or D. They are trying to copy the Patriot way, wich doesn’t work unless you are the Patriots. NFC West 1.LA Rams – 11-5 Sometimes it’s you don’t’ need to overthink things. The roster is still talented on both sides of the ball. The coach is still going to produce effective game plans. The division still has the crappy Niners and Cardinals in it. 2. Seattle Seahawks – 10-6 Seattle has some new players and they have suffered some injuries. They still have Russel Wilson. They have some good players on D. …and again, the crappy Niners and Cards are in this division. 3. Arizona Cardinals 6-10 They’ll get off to a rough start as they try and implement a new offense, new QB, new coach…and not a lot of talent on the roster to make it happen. They’ll start to gel later on in the season and win a few games here and there to close things out as they look forward to a brighter 2020. 4. San Francisco 49ers. 3-13 Jimmy G proves himself to be a total fraud. It all comes crashing down as the team loses all hope. Waste of a good D and some decent pieces. No QB = no good. Shanahan and Lynch find they are jeopardy of losing jobs. AFC East 1.New England Patriots. 10-6 I keep on thinking Tom Brady is done. He’s still smart. He’s still in good shape. He can’t throw deep anymore, but he makes up for it with saavy and literally the best coaching in the NFL that puts together good game plans. I think the Bills and Jets will be improved, but not improved enough to dethrone the champs. 2. New York Jets 8-8 I think Darnold is legit and LeVeon Bell will prove to be a useful addition if not an expensive one. There are bits and pieces on the D, and overall, I think they have a season that shows them trending up. 3. Buffalo Bills 7-9 I’m not sold Josh Allen can run an offense efficiently enough to get the Bills over the hump. They added some parts that will help. Cole Beasley being the one that will help most, but the line still isn’t very good, they have an old, slow backfield, and still nothing of note at TE. I think Allen will make a little progress, and that’s worth a game…the D is as solid as it gets. 4. Miami Dolphins 1-15 There isn’t much to say here. They are in full blown tear it down mode. The whole season is one long extended tryout to see who is a part of the rebuild and who isn’t….including Josh Rosen. If they do find that Rosen can be their QB1, they’ll have a nice chip to trade for a bounty of goodies that can help the rebuild along quicker. AFC North 1.Pittsburg Steelers – 12-4 Everyone is hyped about the Browns..and they should be…but Pittsburg doesn’t just suck all of the sudden. Their metrics suggest they should have won more games. They still have a QB, their D is good and will be better with the addition of Devin Bush, JuJu is an emerging star. 2. Cleveland Browns – 10-6 Definitely a team on the rise. Still young and rookie HC, lots of egos…will probably lose a couple games they should win, but a dangerous team for sure. 3. Baltimore Ravens – 9-7 Lamar Jackson will be a little better than expected as a passer. He’ll be a dangerous runner. He’ll be injured. The D isn’t going to be quite as good. Tough division, but Lamar wins them a few games they shouldn’t win. 4. Cincinnatti Bengals 2-14 AJ Green is out. Dalton sucks. The o-line sucks. They get injured. They don’t have anything on D worth much. The coaching staff is practically kids. Recipe for disaster, and an end to the Dalton era. They try out Finley, but will be poised for Tua, Herbert, Fromm etc. AFC South 1.Jacksonville Jaguars 9-7 They still have most of a roster that made the AFC title game two years ago with a better QB. The division is slugfest of mediocrity and this team seems the best of the mediocre 4. 2. Houston Texans 9-7 The Texans are a tough to team to predict. Anytime you have DeShaun Watson, you should have a chance. Hard to know what the D is going to be with Clowny situation up in the air, and Watt getting old. 3. Indianapolis Colts 9-7 I am going to assume Andrew Luck is the QB…and even still, I don’t see the Colts as an ascending power that others seem to think they are…no team benefitted more from schedule than the Colts did last year. Go look at the list of QB’s they played. It’s long long list of nobodies and backups. They beat one…ONE winning team all year. The defensive stats got padded due to the crappy teams they played. They aren’t that good. 4. Tennesee Titans 5-11 Weird team. Beat the Patriots….won against Dallas on the road. Lost a lot of games to opponents you might think they should beat. Marcus Mariotta is a bust. He sucks. I’d kick this team up a game or so if Tannehill were the starter…but he isn’t that good either. Team has a good D…and some good parts on O, but suffer due to QB issues. AFC West 1.Kansas City Chiefs 16-0 If ever there was an offense built that could accomplish the feat of going 16-0, it’s this one. Speed and more speed with Mahomes…they will score at will. The question will be the defense…it’s new and differnent…but is it better? Can it possibly be worse? I don’t see how. Add in top notch special teams and if the D is even 22nd or better, watch out. 2. Los Angeles Chargers 9-7 Injuries to key players, along with Rivers getting old and finally showing it will result in a disappointing season for the bolts. They’ll be moving into their new stadium, looking for a new QB. 3. Denver Broncos 4-12 Brutal Schedule, Brutal QB play, Brutal O-line and you have the recipe for a brutal year. With the ownership situation coming closer to being resolved, the whole front office and coaching staff could be swept away after this year. Denver will be in the market for Herber, Tua, Fromm….and possibly a complete makeover. 4. Oakland Raiders 3-13 It’s a circus, a trainwreck, whatever you want to call it. Gruden gets another year with a new QB as they move to Vegas fully committed to a rebuild that should have started 2 years ago. Playoffs NFC 1.LAR 2. GB 3.Dallas 4. Carolina 5. Minnesota 6. Seattle Dallas over Seattle Carolina over Minnesota Rams over Carolina Green Bay over Dallas Green Bay over Rams AFC 1.KC 2.Pittsburg 3.New England 4.Jax 5.Cleveland 6.Houston New England over Houston Cleveland over Jacksonville New England over Pittsburg Kansas City over Cleveland Kansas City over New England Super Bowl. KC over Green Bay….in the leauges 100th season…only fitting we have a rematch of Super Bowl I. KC completes an undefeated season.

....considering that run of the mill RB's are available everywhere....why not keep Wade? If he doesn't work out, you just go to the Dollar General and get Yeldon or whoever...they are everyone....no reason not to give the guy a shot considering what he's shown...I'm impressed.

The Chiefs are going to break the All time NFL points scored record this year. (606 by 2013 Broncos) Mahomes has thrown a healthy number of INTS in camp....this is by design. Andy Reid instructs Mahomes and the offesnse to push the limits so they can see what they can and can not do.

I know you all don't want to hear it...but while 50 TD and 5000 is a very very high bar to set and has never been maintained or repeated by the other 2 who did it...I'm here to tell you there isn't going to be a regression. 1. Brady and Manning both achieve a 50 TD 5000 yard season LATE in their careers, when they had mastered their craft. 2. You'll have to take my word for it, but I think my record here is pretty good with objective evaluation of things....and so...I'm here to tell you, the offense is going to throw even more than last year. ....you've not heard it yet, but you'll get tired of hearing about "The Legion of Zoom" this year.

I’m not a big T Hill fan but the problem with this whole episode has been the national coverage of it. Tons of coverage for the initial issue, then hardly any for the very substantial stuff that has come out since and then now lots of national coverage for the announcement of no suspension. the parts in between that didn’t make national news was that the audio that was initially released was incomplete. The tv station that released it had to issue an apology publicly once the complete audio came out as it substantially changes the context of what Hill said. The fiance is under investigation for possible extortion. The complete audio recording implicates the fiancé for lying about the 2014 choking/punching incident wich also caused the court transcripts from that case to be released, wich paint a very interesting story about that incident as well. because these developments didn’t get mentioned nationally, you have two dots being connected that paint a confusing picture. You need the other dots. I would also be bewildered about how you have the initial report, the history, then the announcement of no suspension.

I’ve explained this before but I’ll do it again. 1. It is the slow part of the offseason otherwise I wouldn’t bother posting a topic about myself. I joined this board to watch the Bills fan reaction to the Mahomes trade as it has played out over time. I also trolled a good deal when I joined. I’ve admitted this before. You can can safely call me a Josh Allen doubter, but don’t confuse that with being an Allen Hater....I enjoyed watching him play last year. He is exciting! I want him to be good. I want the Mahomes trade to be a win-win. Since ive been around here, I HAVE had a lot of general football conversations here. I’ve tried to compliment this board and Bills fans as being great to talk to and what a great place this is...even for a Chiefs fan...to talk football. Since ive come here, I’ve iind of adopted the Bills as my second team. I met Poncho Billa at the 2018 draft, I bought my 7 year old a Bills jersey. You’ve won me over. I can undrstand why some saw the Broncos post as trolling......it was....I was trolling the Broncos. If you go look up my posting history over there, it will be abundantly clear that I hate the Broncos and every last thing I post there is to troll them. lastly, usually I post and I’m able to respond etc. i has to tend to some urgent business the past couple days. My unsolicited two cents. I don't claim to know anything about the stadium in Buffalo, the politics of the city, county or state. I don't know what motivates the Pegulas etc....but I would say that having read through the thread....the zoomed in view about the local issues of it all are what is being discussed.....and that matters..but consider this. The NFL revenue model isn't really based all that much these days on "local" revenue. The big money is the TV deals. ....When you look at the NFL TV data in the United States...it is a mature market. Cities that do not have a local team, have practically the same viewership as towns and cities that do have one. The NFL gains NOTHING from a TV viewer stand point just because a team moves. You could move the Bills to Portland Oregon for example...and you might get a small bump in TV viewers in that area...but they've already been watching. There isn't a spot on the US map where you can put a team today, right now, and make any sort of impact on TV viewership. From this standpoint, Buffalo is VERY SAFE....it's a good market, with good fans that support the team. There is no more empty LA sitting out there anymore for the owners to ponder about... The problem for Buffalo though is in fact TV viewers...and I don't mean local, Western New York viewers. The NFL has got about as big a domestic audience as it can get. To increase revenues in a major way, they need to expand internationally. We've all known for a long time they've been looking at London. Stay with me here.....so keep this in mind as well....if the leauge expands, they have to divide the same TV revenues they get now, with more teams..that makes each slice of the same pie, a little smaller for all the owners. What they would like to do, in order to maximize revenues for the existing owners and share less of it with new owners...is instead of expansion to international markets...they are going to want to move a couple of existing franchises......keep in mind..NFL viewership in the US is practically the same in towns with teams, as opposed to towns without them...you don't lose significant numbers of viewers if you move the Jags to London for example. ....but you GAIN a TON of new international viewers and TV rights over there....big addition of revenue. Now...the way this could affect Buffalo is that the NFL, in their quest for TV MONEY (not the small fries of local stadium revenues) ....could view the Bills as a potential franchise to move to an international destination......including Toronto, even thought the exhibitions and regular season games there were flops.....the NFL and certainly a good many willing businessmen, would view the CANADIAN TV market as something worthwhile to expand into. I've read some studies that show Toronto has enough NFL fans to make it work....and just because the Bills weren't supported, doesn't suggest it would fail....rather, they want their own team to root for...and just as most of the nation of Canadas baseball fans follow the Blue Jays....and the NBA fans in Canada are Raptors fans....they expect the same of a lone Canadian NFL team.....you don't just get Toronto...you get a good portion of the whole of Canada.......same with Mexico. It would not surprise me that at some point in the next 10 years, the NFL identifies up to 3, but most likely just 2 existing franchises to move to London and Toronto. I'm not saying that it is a given that it's the Bills, but just something to consider. The existing 32 owners could then expect huge new revenue streams, while keeping the streams from domestic markets in tact...AND not having to share those new revenues with an expanded pool of owners. ...and also...Arrowhead..while old, was very well designed, and has been successfully renovated/updated over the years. It produces revenues at a decent clip, and they have a good lease with the county to where the Chiefs control concerts/events there. There isn't much clammoring for a new stadium in KC because the existing structure is fulfilling.....or rather filling, the owners wallet.

I put a question up on a Denver board I am a member of....basically asking them, given their crappy QB situation right now..with Joe Flacco, and Drew Lock just drafted in Round 2 this year, would they rather have taken Josh Allen instead of Bradley Chubb in the 2018 Draft. It's an overwhelming NO. They consider Chubb a star (12.5 as a rookie is good) They wouldn't do it over again (at least those that responded) The Bronco fans don't view Allen has having accomplished anything and see him as a great athlete that can't pass. All of that is correct....but the entire audio has been heard by some of the local media here. They say the context of the whole thing is substantial. Again...I'm not trying to defend Hill...I'm just saying the whole thing is really screwy and the upcoming suspension may not be all the long....and the suspension is going to be for that audio..because that is what they have.

That isn't the most recent news from the case Mr Weo. ....don't take my comments as defending Hill...I'm not...all I am saying is the NFL will suspend Hill for the comments you reference above....they simply have nothing else to go on....especially since there are some reports that suggest Hill is in fact innocent. ( I don't know that to be the case...but lots of rumors from after the meeting with NFL suggest that the NFL is satisfied Hill didn't abuse his child)

....I want to talk about Hunt for a moment and why that situation was/is differnt. 1. Hills situation is finishing up...that whole thing has been screwy from the beginning, but the lastest news would suggest Hill didn't break his kids arm. Hill is still on audio telling his fiance'/girilfriend that she should be afraid of him. They aren't going to get him for child abuse. He isn't going to charged with that let alone convicted. The are going to get him for the comments. It's the one fact in this case that the NFL has and can easily make a move on. 2. Hunt quick release was NOT due to the nature of charges (there still have never been any charges) It wasn't even becasue he was on video. He was released...and the press release at the time says as much....because he LIED to the team about the incidents. The team never said he was released becasue of the incidents, the nature of the incidents or any of that..he was released for LYING about the incidents to the team. We are left to assume that Hill has been up front with the team about his situation from the beginning, and given that he appears to have been exonerated from the child abuse accusations....we are left to beleive that he A. was truthful with the team about the whole thing and B. He is going to get suspended for the threatening audio aimed at his fiance'. I am sure people (me included) will also assume that Hill is a top 3 WR and major difference maker in the NFL....Hunt, while a very good player....was/is much more easily replaced. KC in fact had better RB numbers AFTER Hunt was released. P.S (Damien Williams on your fantasy squad will be a good thing in 2019) Final note...KC media has long been skeptical of local NFL and MLB ownership because they've long been percieved to be penny pinchers. Some of that has changed in recent years with KC playing in two World Series and winning it in 2015, and with the Passing of Lamar, Clark Hunt went and got rid of long time penny pincher GM Carl Peterson, mistakenly hired Scott Pioli, ate some of that contract to fire Pioli, and is paying Ried handsomely and FINALLY we drafted a QB in round 1...so Clark Hunt has done some good to distance himself from the penny pincher repuatation of his father recently. Local media tend to trend a bit toward being homers, but always with an eye toward being skeptical about the money. Used to be nothing but complaining all the time about how the owners were cheap (TRUE!)

The topic CAN be broached....but in this case...the guy (kevin Keitzman) is taking the death of Reids son from an overdose and drawing the conclusion that Reid = bad parent and Reied = Poor disciplinarian without knowing any of the facts or circumstances about Reids fathering or his son. KK could have easily just said Ried has a long track record of struggling with player discipline. He would be correct and there is plenty there to actually go on, without having to demonstrate or emphasize the point by adding Reid son died of a drug overdose. You COULD even bring the overdose etc into the argument IF you had some other facts to go around it....like if for example it was as known fact Andy Reid withdrew his kid from rehab because he was tyring to be a cool dad...or something...but there are no FACTS like that to go on...NONE...KK literally knows ZERO about that situation and made that comparison. .....he makes these baseless arguments on air ALL THE TIME. In this case...he went too far. .....but to answer the question...yes, the subject can be discussed...but like anything...context and facts are important.

Kevin Keitzman is a part owner of the station. He also carries the title VP. 20 years ago, Kevin was a good jornalist and had a good show. It started going downhill when he got caught by the police getting a BJ from the company secretary....this led to his divorce and he ended up marrying the secretary. His show stopped being worthwhile to listen to and turned into A LOT of commecial breaks, and whole paid segments where he'd be talking "sports" with a sponsor or doing a full hour of bbq grilling with a sponser....unlistenable radio in exchange for a buck. he forgot what made him worth listening to in the first place....A LONG time ago. for the past 10 years...he has become the guy you hear in the audio....too lazy to actually do any work or put time and effort into forming a reasoned and well thought out take...he's resorted to saying crap like this get a rise out of people. I was once a fan of his...back when he was young and hungry, and put in the effort. I've hated the guy for the last 10-15 years...he's awful. The interesting part of this all is that 810 WHB is the Chiefs official Radio station for sports talk. (810 doesn't carry the actual play by play broadcast) Their deal with the Chiefs gives them exclusive access to facilities, players, coaches etc FIRST, that other media in town don't get. As a partner...I'd hope the Chiefs leverage their power here and persuade ol Kev to hang up the mic and retire to his VP desk....and for those who know....let Soren Petro have that prime 2-6 spot that he absolutely deserves and should have.

Not at all...I just wanted to add that Mahomes first start numbers are quite a bit more impressive when you add that he was playing with backups and he only played a little less than 3 quarters of football.

Allow me to add some perspective here: Mahomes didn't play 4 quarters of that game. He played the first half, and a some of the third quarter. He had no passing TD but had made several great throws for big chunks and they were running the ball in. They had built a 2 TD lead by midway through the 3rd and Mahomes went to the bench so that Tyler Bray (third string QB) could get reps. Bray went out and turned the ball over twice leading the Broncos to tie the game back up. Mahomes came off the bench with 2:30 left and led the game winning drive again. And........(see next comment) .......while Talib, Harris and Miller all saw season low snap counts, those snaps came while Mahomes was playing. Also keep in mind KC starter snap counts in this game. Hunt - 1. ......and that's it. Kelce, almost the entire O-line and all the WR were backups for the WHOLE game. If you watch highlights of Mahomes from that game...you will see him making incredible plays with Miller chasing him and Talib covering.... While this was a "meaningless" game....the context matters.

It was only one year....but a historic, league MVP year at the most important position in the game. It's the offseason and not much going on and it's 4 AM and I am at work doing nothing....so I forgive me if I couldn't resist to troll a little here... Come on.....in the history of the NFL, no one would ever trade a 23 year old league MVP at QB coming off a historic season, for any combo of players ever. I understand the circumstances of how the Mahomes trade went down....given that Buffalo was NOT taking a QB in the 2017 draft under any circumstances...then trading out was a fine thing to do. The mistake wasn't with McDermott...and Beane wasn't around....the owners (pegulas) awkward hiring of coach, then having lame duck GM...then later hiring GM after draft...all but assured that there would be no QB taken. McDermott simply wasn't in a position to make a well informed committment to ANY of them at the time of the 2017 draft. So again...GIVEN that the Bills were not in the QB market in 2017 due to circumstances created by the team owners...McD did VERY WELL. But that's like saying the Edmonton Oilers did VERY WELL when they traded Wayne Gretzky. You can't "win" that trade. At best, you could say the Oilers didn't completely lose the trade...they did go on to win a cup in 1990 without Gretzky.....it's similar in this case. Buffalo can not "win" the Mahomes trade...but it is entirely possible that they didn't lose it if Allen works out...the other bits...Tre White and Edmunds look good so far...but no executive ever, would trade Mahomes for Allen, Edmunds and White....you could even throw in the next 10 Bills round 1 picks with those guys and no one makes that trade. It all hinges of course on Allen...if he becomes a top 10 NFL QB....along with the other guys in the trade...you will have done well and not lost the trade.

He probalby didn't have much freedom to audible, but there is plenty of film where you can tell Allen has deliberately passed up an open, short, designed route, to throw downfield to a target that isn't open etc. I think Baldinger did a film breakdown (it may have been someone else) showing Allen doing this on many occasions and more often than not, resulting in a negative play. I don't care how you want to break it down...or what word you want to use...I like to use the term passing efficiency because it implies the entire team as the passing game....Allen (and the team) aren't going to win much if they aren't more efficient when passing....and that probably has more to do with Allen than the other parts.....can't wait to see how he does with the better roster and the whole offseason of coaching etc.

......Let's assume that Allen did in fact play with a bad O-line and bad WR last season (wich I am good with...that seems like a reasonable assumption) WHY would Allen decide on purpose to do the LEAST optimal thing he can do under those circumstances? A bad line would mean poor protection to allow time for downfield plays to develope and those would supposedly develop less often and more slowly with bad WR. The optimal thing to do under these circumstance would be designed plays/audibles, RPO action etc that would happen quickly and a read made more quickly to a shorter, faster develping route to mitigate the bad Oline and bad WR. Either the coaches called bad plays for Allen to try and throw deeper...OR they called good plays and Allen made bad choices. One of those had to have happened.
