  1. Yes....where does it say I am not a fan? Also...I made that post on June 30th. In the same thread, once games started....this is also me "Allen looks to have taken some real strides....he's looked pretty good so far....." Sept 16th. and " he's young and has at least taken a step in the right direction.." October 18th. and on November 8th 11-08-2019, 08:36 PM Last 4 games. Allen 7 passing TDS vs 1 INT. He does seem to be incrementally improving. Still a somewhat low comp % on the year but it’s up from last year. Looking more like it might have been a mistake to pass on him as the weeks go by. Whenever I have given my thoughts on Allen here....I have said that I like him and that it has always concerned me about his comp % (yes Transplant...I have read your mathematical novel about this topic) I have stated that I am a fan who remains skeptical. I have not said anything different there....and I have demonstrated that I am seeing improvement and that my initial evaluation is looking more and more off. I have said as much here.....and have said I have been rooting for Allen to prove me and all the analytics people wrong.
  2. ....I didn't say I was NOT A FAN....I said I remained skeptical and that his accuracy concerns me still. I talk about him being fun to watch and that he is improving. Nothing that I haven't said here.
  3. .....I will be rooting hard for the Bills this week....I HATE the Broncos. I hope not only do the Bills win this game, but that Josh Allen goes 280, 3 TD passing and a rushing TD as he escapes Von Miller all game long. It would make me happy to see some Broncos fans remorseful over passing Josh Allen in the draft. Thank you. that is all.
  4. I have a GREAT job where I sit at a desk for 12 hours at a time and monitor a particular railroad safety/navigation system that I know alot about, and when something goes awry, I handle it...but there is a whole lot of doing nothing between actually working....and so I have the time to "troll" around on message boards....etc etc. The Josh Allen thread at the orangemane is still getting alot of action....now especially since it's Bills vs Broncos week. Some of those folks are turning a bit.... ...anyhow. I will be rooting hard for a Bills victory this week. You all should have it in the bag....the Broncos are a bad team, with a QB who has played ok, but completing 50% of his passes. The Broncos never play well in early start eastern time zone games.
  5. If you are going to have divisions, then there needs to be something to gain by winning the division. Also....since we are on the issue of homefields for playoffs...I have one tweek I'd like to propose for regular season and playoff games EXCLUDING the super bowl......but get rid of the coin toss. The home team can decide if they want to defer, take the wind, etc. Or if you want to only do this in playoff games...fine...but make the benefit of acheiveing homefield, have some benefit.
  6. ...ok...that is actually pretty funny.
  7. When it was first reported a while back that the NFL was going to ask for a 17 game schedule in the latest bargain round, I thought it was just one of those dumb requests you put in as a negotiating ploy to later be discarded as you started to narrow things down the items that really matter....but I've been reading reports that suggest it's an actual thing the owners want to put in place. There was already going to be talk of cutting down preseason games from 4 to probably 2. I know teams generate revenue off those preseason games and often those are sold as part of season ticket packages...so maybe cutting 2 preseason and adding in one regular season game squares the revenue streams.....but there must be more to it than that? 17 game schedules present some possiblilties that the leauge might use to expand TV revenue further..... I would guess they'd add a 2nd bye week in for every team.....and if you did that, you could concievably play games on non traditional game days. Follow me for a moment. LIVE sports...especially football...and in particular, the NFL, are one of the few things broadcast on TV that draw large audiences in a world where streaming and binge watching etc has taken a toll on traditional network television programming. If you have a 17 week, 2 bye schedule...you could sell the networks......Wednesday night double header NFL football.....or Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night football games. It might be a little hard to follow at first...but the Monday game would still be normal, and would be between two teams, not coming off their bye week(s) That wouldn't change..... But let's say it's week 4, KC, Denver, Dallas, Philly, Seattle and San Fran All have byes (Sunday/Monday OFF) Week 4 ends with the Monday night game....week 5 starts with.....TUESDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL with Dallas @ Philly. Wednesday NIGHT Football, KC@ Denver. and Thursday night football. Seattle @ San Fran. No football on Friday night as a continued nod to high school friday night lights..and saturday is college football. Then you play your sunday slate of games, and Monday night....week 5 ends. Week 6 starts with Tuesday night, and so on. I haven't worked out an entire schedule of this to see how many teams would need to be on a bye and when etc. The other thought here is, if you moved a team to London, and you had 2 byes for each team...you'd be able to ALWAYS get a team into London either coming off a bye or about to go into a bye to mitigate travel.....Plus the London team itself woudl get 2 byes....help it to also mitigate travel concerns....for example if London had to play Seattle...you could have that game comign off London's bye week so they could travel and practice better. The last thing I figure is that the NFL is now a 32 team leauge. If you go to a 34 team league, you could ADD two teams, split them into 17 team conferences and work out a balanced schedule. Of the items I've considered here...I don't think this one is what they are aiming for....I really don't think the NFL wants to expand and therefore share revenue with two more owners. That said....I'm not entirely sure how you get a 17th game in. Maybe an extra in conference game for each team? Lastly.....a 17 game schedule would throw off the balance of Home and Away....and so my thought on this is that the NFL would do a bunch of nuetral site games. For exaample...all teams get 8 home and 8 away...and 1 neutral site. Maybe Denver and Seattle square off on Wednesday night football LIVE from Boise Idaho. Lots of Bronco and Seahawk fans in those parts. NFL throws the fans a bone. ....or Live from the University of Alabama, New Orleans VS Atlanta.....you could do a lot of these...including overseas games....Think expanding TV markets .....you could do any number of Europe, Japan, etc. Regular season games at neutral sites.... Anyhow...thoughts, comments...ideas? scorn?
  8. I was running through several scenarios. It’s plausible you get an NFC team go 11-5 and miss the playoffs. I ran several with my interest being KC, but Buffalo really has got to find a way to 10 to get in. The way the schedule works out for Cleveland, Pittsburg and Oakland ....I think it takes 10. Also, I tend to think the AFC south cannibalizes itself, but if JAX or Indy got on a roll, in division games, that would add one more threat.
  9. Playoff machine is live now.
  10. You are right....I predicted 7-9...so to be right, it would need to be 7-9. That's fine. When predicting an NFL teams final record in the standings...being right on the number is what you are going for....but if the bills finish at 8-8 for example...I'd take it as a "win" having surmised that the team was right in that mix of .500 ish teams. 9-7....not so much. 10-6, I'd be flat out wrong. ....My predictions overall have been awful this year...so there is that.
  11. I am not that guy. The Broncos people think I am some dude named BossChief that used to post on orangemane.com and you guys think I am Jeffismagic. Somewhere around here I posted my facebook info or something....I've posted pictures of me and Poncho Billa at the 2018 draft....I don't know how else to prove I'm not some other former poster.
  12. LOL. I used to hit the JetNation board up some..... Actually....it's sustainable. We went to an AFC title game with the worst D in the leauge last year....and keep on winning with a crap D this year.
  13. I was referring to KC....if you prefer that I just say KC instead of WE, I can do that to please your sensitivities. Obviously, I'm just a fan and not part of the team. I am sure you can find a million posts here were fans refer to the Bills as "we".
  14. KC vs GB. Yes, KC D is inconsistent. Mahomes isn't. New England isn't good (or not as good as record says they are) KC already beat down Baltimore. KC lost to Houston with gimpy Mahomes ankle and fumbles. 100'th aniversary season....NFL has good storyline with Super Bowl 1 rematch.
  15. I'm sticking with my Bills 7-9 prediction. That won't likely be right at 7-9, but 8-8 or 9-7 are in play. Josh Allen being a bottom 3 rated passer is unsustainable.
  16. Since 1983, 91 teams have been +150 in total yards gained and +15:00 in TOP and even in turnovers and of those 91, only TWO have lost the game. KC was that team today. We doninated the game. Mahomes was doing Mahomes like things, and we lost. RB fumbled and TEN returned it for a TD. On a FG attempt late in the game, miscommunication on snap ended up with the holder being called for international grounding. Would have been up by eight. TEN gets ball and scores to go ahead by 3 with 24 seconds left. Mahomes the unicorn, gets Chiefs in FG position for game tying attempt with 3 seconds left. Kick is blocked, looked like TEN was Offside, but whatever, never should have been close. Dump penalties negating touchdowns, sloppy special teams, a bad play call on third and 2 late and then opting to punt instead of go on fourth and 2 with Mahomes. ??
  17. The Zerovoltz solution: Have the teams that qualify for the playoffs continue to be seeded as they currently are. super bowl winner is 32, super bowl runner up is 31, and so on. Have the team that had the best record, but failed to make the playoffs pick 1st. Then the next best team that failed to make the playoffs pick 2nd....and so on. This provides incentive to keep trying to win, even in week 17 and no matter who you are.
  18. Chiefs don't play Sunday Watching this game instead Dolphins plus the points
  19. Ragland may have just saved his Career and saved KC's D....and possibly the season itself, since Mahomes is injured (still waiting to hear what the extent of the injury is)
  20. Looking good for you right now!
  21. Thanks....I've always enjoyed my interactions here....and I HATE douchebags who won't eat the crow they deserve. I know I come off as a douche here and there, but I try and be objective and I'll eat my crow....bad as it tastes. ( I HATE being wrong!)
  22. Tyreek Hill. (FOOTBALL PLAYER) ...he's a special talent. Kelce has had some drops (that's actually been an issue his whole career) ....but other than that....not much to point to. S, Juan Thornhill....rookie 2nd rounder seems to be good and improving each game...but man, there just isn't much to point at on the KC team that's worth a damn.
  23. Allow me to explain "how this can be". Our (KC) Defense still sucks. That was overcome last year by the offense. The offense last year had some things go their way that haven't this year. Injuries have hurt the offense. Some will point to Hill being gone....and Watkins being hurt.....again.....and that does hinder things....but the part no one nationally talks about is the O line issues. I'd have to search my posts here, I think I've alluded to this before, but KC does NOT have a good Oline. Mahomes masked problems there last year. This year, the bad O line become the WORST oline in the NFL when Fisher got injured, so Cam Erving had to start at LT, next to a scrap heap LG, who got injured, so then we had Cam Erving, next to 3rd string scrap heap LG, with Austin Reiter at C....who we also got off the scrap heap last year...he'd been cut by the Redskins and Browns...he SUCKS. The entire left side of the Oline is bad..and even when all 5 starters are healthy, KC has the worst G-C-G combo in football (we miss Morse) This has led to pass rushers in Mahomes grill most of the time...and he has had his ankle rolled and/or stepped on THREE GAMES in a row.....when you accumulate is stats in each game PRE and POST ankle roll....it looks like you would expect it to look for a guy with an injured ankle having to face a pass rush in his face and unable to run due to the bad line. Mahomes is every bit the unicorn he's been....and when healthy, and with his ankle in tact...he still can carry the whole awful team....rolled ankle, no line and injured no.1 and no.2 WR and he can't shoulder it. People will point to the Chiefs getting run on as a big problem....and I'm not gonig to tell you it's not a problem....it's a big problem....but KC has still had 9 or more possesions per game...they just haven't scored on nearly as many of thos possessions as they were last year (SEE ABOVE PROBLEMS) If the KC offense turns a game into a track meet...Mahomes can win most of those and overcome the bad D....if the O can't put up points, then the other team grinds us (KC) into the ground. It won't get much better until Fisher comes back from injury at LT and they find someone...anyone that can at least pretend to play LG. Of note to Bills fans.....our LB corps has been so incredibly bad that Reggie Ragland is very likely to be inserted as a starter. He isn't fast and can't cover anyone, but take my word for it...the LB we do have can't tackle, don't attack gaps, and just stand around as they get engulfed by lineman. Ragland, AT LEAST will identify a gap and attack....so, there is that.
