As you read through my thoughts here....I didn't come to argue....but to answer this question...Mahomes does this quite a bit....AND it's exciting to see Allen do that too..I saw this live...GREAT throw! Mahomes cap hits are going to get more difficult over time....true...but a couple things about that. 1. Mahomes cap hits for the next couple years are still LESS than Ryan Tannehill until like 2022 or 2023. 2. KC has it's core under contract through 2021...so after next year...things will start to be harder to squeeze in and keep guys...it's coming....but not for little bit longer. This is a good way to look at it. Allen is dynamic and on a given day he's capable of anything. ...and finally...I would normally be inclined to argue in favor of my guy...but instead I'd just like to say, you have a franchise QB that you love and you'd not want to trade...if I were a Bills fan...I'd feel that same way...He's yours. You drafted him...you watched him grow...you've watched him become the player he is and your team is in the mix for the Lombardi...not the 9-7 wild card and prayer mix..but the legit, power teams that ought to have a real shot...and you guys will be in that mix for YEARS to come with Allen...that's what we all want from our QB...a guy that lifts the team up around him...and makes us a threat every single game..and every single year to be a champion. I am happy for the Bills fans that are getting to enjoy Josh Allen. Congratulations....hope to see your guy and my guy at Arrowhead for the AFCG!

I don't mind the crap....I deserve it... It's fine. I enjoy the interaction here, whatever the topic.... Just know, I HATE the Broncos...I troll hard over there even though I also do talk other topics and general football...it's clear the primary reason I visit is to troll. That WAS why I originally joined this board too, but as many know, while I remain a huge Chiefs fan and will take a jab here and there about all that....I am genuinely happy the trade wokred for both our teams...and while I was skeptical that Allen would develop, I am glad he did, and really enjoy watchign Bills football because of him. I'm a fan. Some things to watch for VS Denver. They are going to want to establish the run if they can. Hopefully the Bills will gameplan to make Drew Lock beat them and not let Gordon and Lindsay do it. Lock has some tendancies to watch for....when in trouble he predictable rolls right. He is prone to throw off his back foot when pressured. Lock excells at linear routes....so anything where the target is running a straight line like a slant or go, a seam rout...a cross....things that don't require a timed cut like an in, out or hitch. Lock won't throw those timing routes until after he has seen his target make the cut and take a step as opposed to throwing those BEFORE the cut in anticipation. It allos the defender to recover.....so a decent gameplan is to play a little off and defend the straight line speed routes he prefers. Like many young QBs...Lock isn't adept at scanning the field for his 2nd, 3rd or 4th read very well. Denver is and Lock are at their best when the run is working and they can run playaction. When Lock has time to throw he can zip a decent ball in a tight space espeically off the PA. An early, big lead may also lead Lock to attempting some hero ball stuff....trying to take deeper shots that aren't there, to get back into games when he should check to something shorter. Key to victory: Don't let Denver Run. Make Lock beat you.. Key to blowout....get presure on lock, get a lead...make him try and hero ball it...he'll turn it over. Denver plays very position sound defense. It's how they take JAGS players and compete. They aren't out of place much at all. Their front is effective even if you don't know the names up front. They bat passes well and don't get pushed out easy. They aren't good at covering TE settling into holes in zone. Getting Allen moving and making plays in the run game can wear them down....also a rolling pocket negates their uncanny abiltiy to bat down balls. They don't blitz much. Overall, I expect the Bills to put an ass whooping on these guys. I am looking forward to it! Go BILLS!

Bills sign Brandon Beane to contract extension!!!
Zerovoltz replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Congratulations to you all! You have hit on the 4 major pieces to success in the NFL...1. QB, 2. Coach, 3. GM, 4. Solid Ownership The Bills will be a top contender for the Lombardi for a LONG time going forward just on having gotten these 4 things right. I hope the see a healthy rivalry between the Bills and KC in the playoffs over the next several years, hopefully starting this season. -

KC holds a head to head tiebreaker on the Bills....so no...this scenario would not make you the 1 seed. You'd need to beat the Steelers, and finshed tied or better with them...and also a half or full game in front of KC. Mathematically possible. Realistically, not possible. KC is favored by 3 already in early lines set in Vegas. Also....let me leave you with a couple of Mahomes stats. In his career thus far, Patrick Mahomes has NEVER walked off the field after 4 quarters, losing in a playoff game. The Chiefs with Patrick Mahomes are 2-0 in playoff games in wich the OPPOSING team blocked a punt and returned it for a TD. -
I have 100% admitted I was wrong about Allen. ...and yes...you have found a ton of my Bills related content...I never claimed what you would find would be a history of me being right about anything...but that you'd find alot of Bills related content. ...also, I have never claimed to be anything other than a troll....I'll wear it....I'm fine with that...I didn't come here hoping everyone would love me....Im essentially here for the same reason ultimately you and everyone else is....this is fun.

Brag post about your hot wife......one of the few things I've posted here that people liked.

If I wanted to knock you guys on the Mahomes draft, I'd just come out and post something like "HAHA, we got Mahoems and you didn't.!" I don't post like that, and I did'nt post this to highlight that KC got him....it was to highlight how Roger Goodells swift and harsh punishment for tampering ALMOST meant KC would have ended up with Paxton Lynch. We got lucky that the commish saved us from ourselves....it's an example of how sometimes very minor and seemingly unrelated things lead to others. also...I did a whole post and write up in defense of the trade, and how McD did a great job handly the whole thing. 90% of my content is NOT chiefs related.....the evidence is in my profile...all you have to do is look up my posting history.

Black Monday is coming (UPDATE: is here!).....
Zerovoltz replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fangio is 100% safe. This needs more context than just their record. Denver has been devestated by injuries accross the roster. Over half their cap is on IR. Fangio has been able to cobble together scrappy defenses with JAGS and the players play hard for him. Also....Denver has no owner right now. The are controlled by a trust while the Bowlen children figure out who, if any, can be in charge...it's a mess. Elway has changed coaching staffs too much already and the trust won't be willing to spend more money they don't have for him to do it again this offseason. When Fangio was hired, the original plan was to have him provide stability compared to Vance Joseph, and get a VET QB to run the O at a competent level, field a stout D and win by running the football, play action passing and winning the TO batlle. Flacco is who they got, he sucked....they turned to Drew Lock, who was never the plan..and that hasn't worked. They'll sign a VET QB in the offseason and get back on track...Fangio keeps his job since they aren't going to be drafting a new QB. He's not even on the hot seat. I believe this is true. I'd say that it is important to see if John Dorsey gets a GM job this cycle....he'd almost be a package deal with Beienemy. Dorsey would want a HC he can work with and be ABOVE in the hierarchy. EB fits that bill and they'd both be on the same page in philosophy and players etc. I would not be surprised at all if that pairing ends up in Houston. -
.....I don't need to go over this again....do I? YES, I came here after that trade etc...I wanted to see how the Bills fan base reacted to it...and to see how you'd all move forward in 2018, and totally true...I've come to enjoy it here. I've adopted the Bills as my "second favorite" team. I bought my kid a bills Jersey....I hung out with Poncho Billa at the 2018 draft and posted pictures of that here. I am a Chiefs fan. I love Mahomes....yes, soemtimes I'll give a jab here or there, but I've even written a few times here in detail, defending the trade, and pointing out that it's been a good deal for both sides...I've defended McD and why going into that draft a QB was off the table and he made an A+ deal given the circumstances he was in heading into the 2017 Draft. I also fell on the side of "Josh Allen will never become a good NFL QB" but posted that I wanted him to make it.....and now that he has..I put up a post admitting I was wrong...I love watching Allen play...he's one of my favorite players. hell I was here a couple nights ago posting videos of Eagles/Seahawks plays because there was a discussion here about Wentz....nothing to do with Mahomes or KC....

go look at my post history....you only remember when I post about the Chiefs because it stands out here.....my NUMEROUS posts about all sorts of other topics, including the Bills, just get lost in the ocean of discussion here.

It wasn't random.....there is a thread here that was going over some draft scenarios and it made me think of how little things can alter what a team does.....but yes is the answer.

LOL....I'm the one that wrote that for Arrowhead guys

On April 18th, 2016, The destiny of the Kansas City Chiefs was set in motion by an on obscure, odd, bitter event that no one even remembers. Kansas City lost it’s appeal on charges of illegal tampering with Jeremy Maclin prior to his signing with the team. At the time, everyone was upset with the NFL for handing down such a harsh sentence. The Chiefs were fined 250k, and had to forfeit their 3rd and 6th round draft choices in the 2016 NFL draft. Just days before the draft started, losing that 3rd round pick would end up saving the Chiefs from themselves, and the rest is history. Let me explain. In 2016, Kansas City allegedly wanted to draft Paxton Lynch, the big tall QB from Memphis. KC, picking 28th, knew Lynch was coveted by other teams. In fact, Jerry Jones lamented after that draft, that he wished had “overpayed” to move up and draft Lynch. There were rumblings all over that KC was in on him as well. Denver, picking at 31, and needing a new QB after the retirement of Peyton Manning, ended up making the deal to move up to 26 and get Lynch. It might seem like picking at 28 and only needing to move up 2 spots, KC would be able to make a winning offer to Seattle to make it happen…but they didn’t have a 3rd round pick. Kansas City’s 3rd rounder, the 91st overall selection, was the pick KC had to give up for tampering with Maclin. Denver had the 94th overall pick, late in the third round and was able to package pick 31 and pick 94 to make the move up to 26. If KC had their 3rd rounder, Kansas City would have been able to outbid Denver with an offer of 28 and 91. As it was, the best the Chiefs could do was 28 and 126, their 4th round choice. Denver had the best offer, moved up and drafted Lynch. Kansas City would go on to trade back out of the 28th pick with San Francisco. The Chiefs sent the 28th (1st) and the 249th (7th) for 37 (2nd) 105 (4th) and 178 (6th). At 37, Kansas City would select, DT Chris Jones. At 105 they selected G Parker Ehinger, who started until he suffered an injury and then was traded to Dallas in 2017 for Charvarious Ward. Having missed out on Lynch in 2016, the Chiefs were still looking for a QB in 2017. We all know how that turned out. Who would have thought, such a trivial, heavy handed decision over tampering with a player, would ultimately lead to Kansas City acquiring Chris Jones, Charvarious Ward, and…Patrick Mahomes. Sometimes it’s the little, obscure events that we miss, that matter more than we think and more than we could ever know at the time.

Eagles HC Pederson on the hot seat with job status
Zerovoltz replied to Greg S's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not sure why Owners/GM's always go after the hot Coordinator......I mean...I understand why....but really as a HC, you need a smart football guy who is a leader of men. You have to know what you want to do and know how to make that happen. Too many coordinators don't have that kind of personality or force of will along with the credibility that comes with being a successful coordinator. In Pederson's case....that magical super bowl came too soon/easy if you can udnerstand what I mean.....I think he might have gotten a little too full of himself and isn't quite sure what do now that there are problems.....the big one being his QB.....and that QB's insane cap number. As far as the Andy Ried tree.....Matt Nagy had the one good year....with a stud D, and Trubisky playing OK. He hasn't been able to do much else.....Pederson....won the SB...but struggling now...because QB. In Nagy's case....the dude was out there publicly saying he wanted to draft Trubisky and they he could coach him up.... If you are looking at Bienemy as HC....I wouldn't really go into an interview and ask him if he can replicate what KC does...I'd ask him if he could lead a staff and a roster...competently....could he manage the personalities AND the clock. As a Chiefs fan, I wouldn't want to see Bienemy in Houston and especially not in LA if they fire Lynn. I think EB knows what it looks like to have a high end QB and how that can work and how to build a team around that. If I were a HC candidate....Jobs I would not want. Detroit - Philly - Chicago. No QB, and not much hope that you'd get one. -

KC will be winning another title regardless -
I have to laugh at this.....you should see the Denver Bronco fans saying this EXACTLY about Allen....and how Allen would have failed in Denver....etc etc.

I didn't read through every single post here, but I read alot of them.....I have 2 points. 1. first let me address the crowd that points out "Mahomes wouldn't be as good here as he is in KC because of weapons" Truly, Mahomes did end up in the optimal spot....KC was a great match for what he does and had skill players in place. I am sure that only in KC does the kid have 50/5000 season, but you are not giving enough credit to Mahomes for the things he does as a QB that lifts the entire roster around him. IF he had landed in Bufalo or anywhere else, he'd have been special and would have made the skill players on any roster look better than they are. Also....as a KC fan...It's irritating to keep seeing that the national perception is that we have "a good line". WE DO NOT have a good line. We have 2 good tackles and a very bad G-C-G combo. If Joe Flacco was KC's QB, he'd get killed. also, as great as you might think our RB are (there are good) .....KC SUCKS at getting any kind of push when you need a yard....they get pushed back. it's awful. I digress....Mahomes would even make the Jets a respectable team. 2. This whole thing has been talked out enough....For a team that gets called out for missing on Mahomes, the Bills landed squarely on their feet with Allen. He's a top end NFL QB talent at this point and he's fun as hell to watch. I know I enjoy it whenever I get a chance to watch Bills games. He is a guy you can build around and win a super bowl with. You'll be competing with Mahomes to do it....but Allen is one of the few young horses in this leauge who potentially can do that. This whole thing would another awful chapter in the long history of Bills missteps if you didn't land Allen....your franchise is in good shape! The Pegulas, from the outside looking in....seem like good owners that have made sound choices....they just kind of oddly handled that 2017 offseason wich made for a situation where taking a QB at 10 wasn't really something McD was going to be comfortable doing at his sole discretion. It's fine. Things turned out pretty good considering.

Week 6 Postgame Thread KC at Bills
Zerovoltz replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow....you guys are really taking this loss bad. The Bills aren't a juggernaut of a team...but you guys are good! you lost to a KC team, that brought damn near the entire roster back from a super bowl winner. You might have not have noticed, but you lost to a good football team, and you were in it to the end. The weather certainly played a part in this game as well. there are at least 25 NFL teams that would trade their QB for Josh Allen right now.....you have your QB....he isn't perfect (who is?...did you see Aaron Rodgers this week?) This game helps tell you that you aren't quite there just yet...that's ok..you've been heading in the right direction for 3 years now.- 460 replies
