  1. This is one of my favorite topics. 1. I am not sure that St. Louis would have much of an appetite for the NFL at this piont...and might want that big check instead. I am pretty sure the NFL really would rather not expand, but in this special case...maybe they'd be forced to....but... 2. Here is why the NFL has NO interest in expansion.... @BigDingus did a great job of posting potential markets, and reasoning why they should have a team. The reason it doesn't matter is the the NFL is a mature domestic TV market. They get nearly the same or better ratings in NON NFL markets as they do in current NFL markets. This matters because the leauge can not gain additional eyes on TV's by expanding. Instead, if they expanded, they'd have the same viewership, but would have to share that money with another owner or 2 or 3 or 4. I am SURE none of the current owners want to take the same 32 piece pie and cut it into smaller pieces. Ideally, the NFL would problaby like one CURRENT team to move to London and one to Canada. Unlike expansion, this would draw alot of new eyeballs to TV's in new markets wich means a bigger pie for the current 32 owners to share. If they did expand, for example if ST Louis did get a team out of this settlement, then the NFL might be inclined to add one domestic team and one in Canada and one in London. Whatever they do....keep in mind that it would need to result in more revenue. It's fun and interesting to consider soem of the markets that don't have teams now....but Austin is never getting one. Jerry Jones won't have it. Houston needs all the market share they can get too. Portland is interesting, but again, no REVENUE reason to put a team there....too bad because the league could use another west coast time zone team. San Diego is a great market, but they aren't building a stadium and the leauge gets no revenue benefit to go threre...plus high taxes etc....it's not vaible without a publicly funded statdium at minimum. Anyhow.....I stand by my points....ony if it increases revenues....will the NFL expand. bank on it.
  2. I heard this earlier...and I agree....Mahomes is slumping...he keeps looking for the homerun ball....and KC also keeps calling too many long routes....the combo is killing the team. I heard Mahomes in an interview with Rich Eisen today.....Mahoems was asked what was wrong....and he said they aren't executing, and turning the ball over too much.... I didn't like the answer....because it indicates that they don't think the opposing D is actually doing anything to earn the turnovers....and that they arogantly believe they can still just run deep routes into defenses that are playing to stop exactly that. Frankly, they need to have some humility about where they are now and make some changes. I'm not sure they are ready to do that now..and they are out of time.
  3. Yeah....pretty much. I don't disagree with much of any this.
  4. The John Elway broncos went 5-11 in 1990. Elway started all 16 games and he had a pretty bad year. No one thought he was suddenly a bad QB. 0The Tom Brady led, back to back super bowl champion Patriots, missed the playoffs in 2002. Brady threw 14 INTS that year. No one thought he was a flash in the pan. Mahomes may be in the midst of a down season, but no one anywhere thinks he's a bust etc. 3 seasons of very high level production is more than enough sample size to cement Mahomes as a high end QB. I would say that his struggles are more to do with factors around him than they are with him alone.
  5. ....ugh..... I'll try and address issues brought up.... 1. For the millionth time already...I joined this board after the trade to watch how the trade played out and to troll. I've made no secret about that. Over time, I have come to really enjoy the community here. I was a Josh Allen doubter...not ANTI josh....I just didn't think he'd ever overcome the low comp%. I posted many times I was rooting for him, he's fun to watch etc. I am glad he's succeeded. I really enjoy watching him play. In the time since I have joined here...I kind of look at the Bills as my second favorite team, I met Poncho Villa at the 2018 Draft, I bought my kid a Bills jersey. I enjoy the interaction and crap takling that is part of fandom and I also like just talking ball even if it isn't Chiefs specific. I can understand why some here hate me, some don't....I'm not here to try and win a popularity contest....just here to participate at this point...wich I am grateful to be allowed to do here. It's a great place to talk football and have fun. If I don't show up here, it's because I died problably...it won't ever be because my team sucks and I am hiding. I'll show up and take my medicine when I have it coming. 2. Regarding KC and my thoughts on the team. a). I admit that I have placed way too much faith in Patrick Mahomes alone. The 2018 where he was consistantly overcoming a horrendous D, and making numerous incredible plays, led me to think Mahomes, on his own, could overcome just about anything. He can't. b). When building the roster, I have been very adamant that the CAP isn't really an obsticle. I still don't think overall, the CAP is a major hurdle to roster building, but if you are going to push money forward, then you will have needed to spent it wisely.....where the money you spent is showing up on the field. Too much of the allocations of CAP dollars KC has invested, is not tranlating into any production on the field. I still don't think it's a bad way to go IF you get the production, but they have NOT this season at all. c.) In refference to the above....I have been overly optimisitc on some of what KC has done related to roster construction. Even where I've been kind of right about having some doubts... I was still overly optimistic...for example....If you go back to where KC aquired Orlando Brown...I mentioned that he was more of a run blocker who might struggle some with speed rushers in pass blocking. He's been a horrible pass blocker...worse than I could have imagined at the time. I thought Jaran Reed would bring help to hte pass rush...he's been a complete non factor. Street FA would be just as productive or better. d.) Watching the KC offense, they continue to run the same plays they've ran now for 3 years.....playes that have 3 and 4 and sometimes 5 WR all run at least 10 yards upfield before doing anything. Defenses are ready for this...they are all playing back in cover 2 or cover 3 deeper zones. KC simply doesn't run nearly enough short routes, slants, crossers, quick outs, etc. It's all way upfield. KC runs right into the coverage...Mahomes can't see an open man and then runs around hoping the coverage breaks down, and it just isn't happening much. I think it's possible Ried has either gotten stale and/or the tradgedy of his messed up kid(s) has taken away his attention and focus. He has health issues. I think the energy is fading and perhaps, the NFL has caught up to him and he just doesn't have it in him now to respond and change accordingly. e.) Mahomes is pressing, but also, see D. and see C. regarding Brown. The KC staff, players, and Mahomes himself, seem insistant on continuing to look for the home run ball...they've lived off it for the past 3 years..and teams have taken it away. They all need to rconsider things....Its incredible that this team litterally looks befuddled by cover 2. It's because they won't adjust. Arrogance, pride...whatever. they haven't evolved and everyone else has. f.) too many guys don't seem hungry. I am sure I am missing some other things brought up. I would simply follow up by saying that many of KC's issues may well remain unresolved until the offseason. They may well struggle with all this and miss the playoffs. As a fan I am hoping they get it turned around and make the wild card and see if they can make a run...but I won't be surprised at this point if this season comes to nothing. Considering how it's gone and how it's going....My optimism beginning the year....seems foolish and the crow doesn't taste good. Lastly, I'd point out that Reid, Spags, etc...they've been doing this for years and have been highly successful. in 2016, KC started 1-6. They finished 10-6....I don't think Andy Ried suddenly became a dumbass or that Mahomes has forgotten how to play the QB position all of the sudden. hopefully they've got another run in them and adjustments and fixes are comeing sooner rather than later.....right now it's a bunch of suck.
  6. The Bills schedule is still fairly light compared to other contenders....the 1 seed will take care of itself for you guys if you take care of your business. The reason why that Titans loss sucks is because it has the potential to negate your win VS KC and accentuate your loss VS PITT. If KC wins next week VS TENN, then it really brings about the possibility that in a 3 way tie of TENN, KC and BUFF, the head to head win over the Chiefs you have, is thrown out...then it goes to other tie breakers like conference record, common opponentes and all that. KC wins vs TENN and upcoming PITT and so on (too early to say what all factors in if it even matters) It's not a big deal now....because as I said, the Bills have a much easier path going forward than most. Certainly KC still has some tough games on the schedule. The lost to TENN just puts a wrench in the works in the end if it comes to it, that you wouldn't have had to worry about if you won this game.
  7. I was here immediately after we lost to the bills and posted in multiple threads congratulations to you all!
  8. Zero integrity?
  9. Bills loss to Titans cracks the door back open for KC. KC plays tenn next week. If we get that and Kc Tennessee bills all finish tied then that head to head win is negated and it goes to other tie breakers. Might not matter, might mean homefield. KC still has to iron out flaws for it to mean anyrhing
  10. Addressing some of the last several posts. 1. the O line has been pretty good...especially the interior 3. Niang has had some growing pains...but overall, has been decent. Orlando Brown has been OK, but he isn't elite. There are cap reasons why Eric Fisher isn't a Chief now...but when healthy, he's a better player than Brown. Brown hasn't been awful, he's just not great. Overall, this line is better now, than what KC ran out last year. Of the troubles KC has had, the line really hasn't been one. 2. It's been mentioned one way or another that Clyde Edwards Helaire has been a bad draft choice. I AGREE!. You don't take RB that high....unless he's the next Barry Sanders...and there hasn't been one of those since....Barry Sanders. When KC drafted CEH...the talk was that he would contribute in the passing game....that you could split him out wide and so on. HE SUCKS in the passing game. They don't trust him or use him...he's also a bad pass blocker. As a runner, I don't think I've ever seen a RB with worse field vision. He doens't understand how to play off his blockers...and if the line does a good job and makes a 7 yard hole...CEH gets exactly 7 yards out of it. He doesn't make anyone miss and he doesn't break tackles. He's awful in the screen game as well. Has ZERO concept of following blockers...just catches the ball and takes off, rendering the blockers useless. CEH leaves a TON of yards on the field. Horrible draft choice, in an era where RB's are a dime a dozen...waste of a high value pick. 3. KC has gone with a "stars and jags" approach. I don't have a problem with that if done right. KC hasn't quite done it right. KC has tried to keep everyone. That's tough to do, and when you dole out big contracts to your guys, you need two things to happen more often than not...A) you need your big money guys to live up to their contracts. And B) you need your jags to outplay their cheap contracts. In KCs case, too much of the big money on D hasn't come through. Frank Clarks contract is bad. Chris Jones contract is ok, but he needs to be playing as an inside pass rusher...that's where he's elite...not at END where he is MEH and a waste of money and talent. Anthony Hitchens contract is AWFUL and so poorly written that they've had to live with him at MLB for years and can finally escape this upcoming offseason. the other half of this is that KC simply hasn't drafted well enough to sustain this at present. KC has spent too many 2nd-4th round picks on guys who can't get on the field. That's a HUGE problem if you ***** Stars and Jags....you can't keep missing on draft picks (especially 2nd and 3rds) who don't contribute with cheap contracts and above average production. KC simply hasn't gotten enough out of drafts recently to make this work. 4. KC coaches have got to admit that the leauge is agressively working to take Hill and Kelce out of games and are playing 2 deep to limit big plays. There is a certain amount of ego and arrogance involved here where KC thinks it can dictate the play on O and call and do what they want when they want. Not now. KC needs to run teams out of their light box looks instead of calling pass plays that are covered by what teams are doing. Run until they get out of the two deep. Run short slants etc utnil they get out of the two deep. KC refuses....still running alot plays with deep routes even when the box is light. 5. Specific to this defense , this year...KC hasn't blitzed much....the D is getting burnt up. Sorenson, Hitchens, and Ben Nieman are SLOW and not good at much. Might as well blitz and at least get guys who can run on the field. Blitzing will get them burnt too, but if they cause a TO or incompletion sometimes...it would be better than what's they've been doing. All ths said....KC is still something like 3rd on O and still have Mahomes, Kelce and Hill. This is going to be one of those years where we just need to get to the playoffs and hopefully get hot at the right time. The AFC isnt going through KC this year for sure.
  11. For those that went...I hope my city treated you well and that you found some good BBQ somewhere. Congratulations on your victory.
  12. Yeah...I should have....the rain didn't come until halftime and by then it didn't matter anyhow. Congratulations to the Bills and all you Bills fans. Bills the way better team. KC has some serious serious flaws......I don't want to go into that here...this is a Bills board. If KC can get into the playoffs we'll see how that goes, but seriosly, this does NOT feel like it's our year at all as of now. Bills, Cleveland and Chargers seem like the ones who'll be duking it out for the AFC this season. If it can't be the Chiefs, I hope it's you guys. Again, congrats.
  13. I had already predicted a Bills win earlier in this thread. Due to the weather situation, I am changing it to a Chiefs win. Mahomes is a terrific bad weather QB. Chiefs 26. Bills 15.
  14. You all know who I'm rooting for...but I'm not making a prediction. KC's defense makes a prediction too hard for me. KC is at home and tends to play to the competition...so there is that. I really really don't like my teams D at all. I can't call a Chiefs win with this D.... I would like to add this game has MASSIVE playoff implications. If KC wins this game, They control their destiny to the 2 seed, having a tiebreaker over the BIlls and the same 3-2 record. KC would trail the Browns by a game, but if they tie with them, KC has that tie breaker....IF KC loses, they likely fall 2 games behind Cleveleland, a we'd be 2 full games back of the Bills and on the wrong side of the tiebreaker. Basically it would all but kill the loser of this games shot at the one seed. I am sure Browns fan Ugh...since it's a prediction thread. Buffalo 45 KC 41
  15. THANKS! I don't disagree with the notion that everyone should have some Gates and Bryants....the OG's of KC BBQ.....I would just say, if you want to 100% make sure that your out of town guest who might be only getting one taste of KC style, is going to love it....I gotta say you go to Joes. Bryants and Gates are bucket list type places...but if your out of town boss was coming to town and your promotion was riding on your boss enjoying his lunch meeting with you, and he wanted BBQ....you go to Joes and sleep well the night before.
  16. Some KC BBQ comments that might be useful to those visiting KC....and remember, just like everyone has different opinions about what wings are best and what constitutes a good wing......same is true with KC sytle BBQ...these are my opinions.....and I'm not trying to tell you what is best or worst...mostly I am trying to tell you what to expect. Most KC BBQ places are really good. The sauce means more in KC than it does in places like Texas or Memphis etc. 1. Joes. Joes is no.1 on alot of lists for good reason....it's good stuff. If you want to make sure you limited time in KC is utilized on a sure thing....go to Joes...order a Z-man sandwich. the Z man is an absolute good. It's impossible not to love it. Joes has other really good items too, but this is the signalture sandwhich and it's outstanding. The sauce is a traditional, rich, sweet/smoky KC style sauce. 2. Q39. slightly upscale...but wow....you can't miss with the burnt ends plate or a Mr. Burns sandwich. The sauce here is a bit more dark and rich, but still KC sweet. 3. Jackstack. The most upscale of the KC BBQ places...Jackstack is notable for it's vareity of ribs..you can get pork ribs here..but you go to this place because yo uwant beef or lamb ribs...so good! Also...if you are into fried mushrooms....you should try them here...they are huge and tasty. The sauce is slightly less sweet than typical KC sauce...still quite good. 4. Arthur Bryants. Not located in a great part of town, but no one will bother you right near the restaurant, especially during the daytime. Bryants is one of the KC originals...old school. If you want a heaping mountain of meat between 2 pieces of bread with good sauced and a staggering payload of fries for a goog price..you go to Bryants. The combo sandwich and fries will feed an army for days. Sauce here is bit more peppery....still good though. just sweet enough. 5. Johnny's. If you want a slab of pork ribs....in my opinion...Johnny's are the best. Good smoked sausages here too. Sauce is typical rich sweet KC sauce. 6. Slaps. Slaps is almost more famous for their variety of good sides than for their meats...wich are great too. Slaps is a joint that you either love or hate due to the sauce. Slaps sauce is the SWEETEST sauce in KC. Almost like putting sweet maple syrup on your BBQ....it's not that far off. If you prefer a darker, richer, smokier sauce, Slaps isn't going to be your thing...but if you like it sweet with good sides...this is your place. it's quite popular. 7. Smokehouse. Nothing notable...they kind of do everything good...just not great. Reccomend the burnt ends here....sauces is a typical rich, sweet smoky sauce. 8. Zardas. This one I think I problaby rank higher than most in KC...The BBQ BEANS at this place are incredible. Best beans in KC. You can buy them in most local grocery stores. so good. They have some decent specialty sandwiches. The "Hog Wild" or Average Joe are both good. 9. Woodyard BBQ. An off the beaten path type of place...unique in that they operate as a BBQ wood supplier primarily, but also operate a small BBQ joint thats quite small...most of the seating is outdoors so if you do go to this one...pick a nice sit outside kind of day. The pit is outside next to the trees/outdoor seeting as you arrive. Smells so good. These guys offer traditional fare, but usually have a speciality item or 2 at any given moment...if they have it...try the BBQ Cheesesteak...so good! Sauce is typical KC style sauce. 10. Gates. Another of the KC originals. Lives more off reputation than anything these days but you can still get good food here. You may know this places as the joint wehre they yell "HI MAY I HELP YOU!!!" as you are standing in line...you give kind of yell your order back to them..all the years I've been and somehow they never screw up my order when you think surely this disorganized chaotic system can't possibly get good accurate results..but it does somehow. Gates used to have some of the best ribs in town....best way to enjoy gates is either a beef on bun with fries, or just get a mixed plate and share it with a friend. Gates by default, usues their original sauce on things....and gates original sauces is peppery. I really like their sauce, but they also have a sweet n mild version that is also very good and more typical of a KC style sauce you find in most places. They've also got a hot n spicy version. If you aren't sure about the sauce situation, when you are ordering just yell up at the lady....for example beef on bun DRY! Or "MIXED PLATE DRY" they won't put any sauce on it...then you can grab some of each and see what you like. ...don't get me wrong on my rating here...I could eat at GATES all day....but KC has so many others...and better to choose from.... 11. Rosedales. The last of the old schoolers...Rosedales is pretty cheap....it's not especially good, but they do have some stuff that's decent and well priced. Smoked sausage sandwich is really good. Alot of folks like the corn nuggets and fried mushrooms. You can probalby get a slab of ribs here cheaper than anywhere else in town. Rosedales has a very vinegary tart sauce....more familiar to texas BBQ than KC. As a kid, my dad would buy a slab here and you'd eat it but try and pick around the sauce...as an adult I can appreciate the sauce now, but it's not for everyone. Hit it up if you like a tart vinegar sauce.....or a cheap slab of ribs (with said tart sauce) ...or a pretty good cheap smoked sausage sandwich.....and some corn nuggets. Here are few to avoid...in my opinion....the first one might be Rosedales...probalby not a place out of towners ought to try out....would ruin your first ever KC BBQ experience...but its got its good bits...anyhow.... Smokin Guns in Norht KC. Always slow and seems dry and pricy. Haywards....meh Danny Edwards. This place has the wierd distinction of not having particullary good BBQ at the restaurant...but their catered meals are pretty damn good. Skip if if you can. Bandanna's. Not sure they have a location in KC anymore....think they still operate out of St. Joe, MO. Either way...very MEH. Dickey's Somehow this texas chain remains in businees at various locations...if you happen upon one. DO NOT ENTER. This is Texas chain BBQ. It SUCKS. If you do go in, just remember ths is NOT KC BBQ...we don't claim it. Texas barely claims it. Want some good sauce to take home? Stop in any KC area grocery store...you'll find a whole damn isle of nothing but BBQ sauce. FUN FACT: When babies are born in Kc, the hospital gives them a droplet of KC style BBQ sauce If you find a hole in the wall place not mentioned here...try it...it's most likely good. There are many I didn't mention here. And last....IF BBQ isn't your thing or you get tired of it and want something else...KC has an incredible mexican food scene that's hidden in the shaddows of the BBQ places.....go hit up 7th Street/Argentine district....Taqueria San Antonio..El Polo Rey and so many others down there...GREAT mexican food.
  17. 100% agree. For arguments sake...let's just say all the talkign heads, polls, power rankings, lists....all say Allen is no.1 no debate, no argument...He's no.1. And...so then what? When you think aobut it....it's very trivial and does not matter. Lomardis do.
  18. I have a hard time believing that Mahomes wouldn't have been at 5000/50 if he had played more in 2017. I'm not even saying that he couldn't have taken a big leap from 17 to 18....but to say NOT playing in 17 is the reason......if you reversed that....would you say then that if Mhaomes had started the final 8 games of 2017, that he would be worse than 500/50 in 2018?
  19. 1st. It's kind of a waste of time debating who is the better QB among Mahomes, Allen and a few others.....to do so misses the bigger point which is that the Bills HAVE a franchise level QB capable of winning in the post season, and certainly one more than capable of guiding a team to a championship. Too wich degree Mahomes, Allen, Russell and others....are the best etc...doesn't matter. What matters is Teddy Bridgewater isn't your QB. The Bills will be a contender for as long as Allen is healthy and able.... OK....so reading through here....I see a few more posts perpetuating the myth that Mahomes being good was due in some large or small part to "sitting for a year" The Chiefs keep getting praised for making a big mistake. By all accounts Mahomes was ready to go by week 6 of his 2017 rookie season. He would have been fine starting from week 1. If you look at it in reverse....you have to ask....what happend while he sat, that caused him to come and out go 5000/50 in 2018? the answer is NOTHING. Are you telling me that had he not sat he'd only have gone 4000/40 in 2018? That's rubbish. Some guys.....like Mahomes or Herbert....are ready to go out of the box, and land in good spots with a good roster, good coaches etc...Marino is another... Some guys need time to get used to the NFL speed and learn some. And Some need to do that AND need the roster around them to improve as they do. Peyton Manning...Josh Allen come to mind. I didn't see the Schefter comments, but as it relates to Allen.....does it really matter his rookie year was spend developing with a very bad roster around him? He is a great QB now. The roster is better around him now. He is a contender now. HE developed EXACTLY like the leadership said he would when he was drafted as a raw, but super tools QB. Don't worry about Herbert or Mahomes etc....You've got a top tier QB...
  20. I wish I was this optimistic about my own team!
  21. Doc....I'd LOVE to be here right now telling you how this was going KC's way...like I was in here doing prior to the AFCCG.... Of course I want KC to win...I want the D to look better than it has and the O to put up 40 etc...and then come in here and say...I was right. I called the AFCCG like I saw it. I thought KC was a little better, and I laid it out there why I thought so. I am calling this like I see it. The Bills have the better team. The Chiefs defense is really bad. That doesn't mean KC can't win....when you have the QB, it is possible to win games where your team isn't that good. I watched John Elway do that to many many very good Chiefs "teams" over the years. If KC does win...I'll be here...but it won't be to gloat...this isn't the kind of KC team to be bragging on...and if they lose I'll be here too...to congratulate you all and hopeful to see you again in the playoffs. On a side note....do take a look on Trey Smith...who I've bragged on since training camp...he's looking really good. So there is that.
  22. Hapless...KC has been absolutely dreadful as a red zone D (they are dreadful no matter where on the field) ...but if KC holds your drives to FG's a couple times...that will be bad...and vice versa...if you hold KC to field goals...all the better for you all. To those of you recalling the Chiefs DB's being a hard problem to solve last year.....take my word for it....it's very different this year. No Bashaud Breeland, who was a perfect fit in the Spagnuollo system...Charvarious Ward is the other starting Corner.....he's been hurt and didn't play today...Honey Badger has lost a step. Dan Sorenson was slow last year...he still is and still can't cover well or tackle half the time. Sneed still on the team and was great as a rookie...he's still playing OK, but right now, as the soccer guys say...he's not in top form at the momment. The tother DB's are first round washouts from other teams and they are showing so far why they washed out. this is NOT the same secondary you saw before....not close...they play a ton of soft zone now too instead of man. I am freaking terrified the Bills can and will throw a 50 up on the scoreboard. IT's that bad here. Mahomes will have to be perfect and put up 51 to win...that's where this team is. This is going to be a different kind of season in KC...unlike the last 3....we aren't getting the 1 seed. We are going to lose some games where we just can't score enough....the idea is to just get to the playoffs, hopefully getting hot and healthy at the right time and see what happens.
  23. Here is what the Bills can expect VS the Chiefs. Let me give a little perspective on KC's 2-2 season to date. KC has been BAD on defense. I'll get to that. The important part to know is that KC's two losses were by a combined 7 points and while having a -7 TO ratio. Both games were winnable to the end. Both games would have been W's without the TO's. That said, KC is a handful of plays either way where they could be 0-4 or 4-0. Keep that in mind as I break this down. On offense, KC is a little bit a different team this year. The new line, especially the G-C-G combo has been effective at getting a push in the run game. This has allowed KC to be more efficient at 3rd down and has caused teams to pay attention to the run, or not, at their peril. KC has been able to get yards on the ground at a better rate this year. So far teams have NOT committed anything to stopping the run and instead we've seen teams continue to play a deep shell type D that aims to take away Hill or Kelce or both by bracketing them.. KC is a team used to big chunk plays on offense, but in the past couple weeks, KC has just taken what teams have given with tons of underneath stuff and allowing runs. KC has been patient enough the last 2 games to just take what the defenses ahve been giving. KC had SEVERAL long drives VS the Chargers doing this, but kept turning the ball over deep in Charger terriroty, leaving several points on the board. It was the same today VS the Eagles....several long TD drives just taking the short stuff they were giving up...and run run run...all the way to the end zone. It's not exactly what were are used to seeing. KC is still scoring at a high rate..and unless stopped by a turnover, they aren't getting stopped. KC has barely punted all season, and didn't punt at all VS the Eagles. KC has shown some pass blocking problems...especially form the 2 tackles...they can be beaten....the difference from last year is the G-C-G has been quite effective and Mahomes has been good at just stepping up into the pocket when the Tackles get beaten or ride the rushers wide and around to the rear. the G-C-G while solid, can struggle a play or 2 during the game when a stunt isn't passed off or handled correctly. Genrerally theyv'e done well but room to improve there. In the Run game, the line is getting good push and making sizable holes even. I will tell you that CEH (our lead back) isn't very dynamic. He gets good yardage when a hole is open, but nothing more than that...he doesn't make people miss and he tends to go down on first contact. The passing game is pretty much what you'd expect. A steady dose of Hill and Kelce...along with some jet sweeps and WR screen to Hardman. KC's offense has only been stopped by KC itself whenever it turns the ball over. Otherwise..playing shell hasn't done anything but make KC run more plays. Over 30 first downs a game last couple. If the Bills D can get a stop or 2, it would go a long way to winning the game.... KC's D has been BAD. It isn't fast, it doesn't rush the passer well, and it also can't stop the run with hit's undersized interior lineman and slow LB's. The corners aren't very good either...not as good as what we run out last year. Some of you might remember my analysis of last years AFCCG where I informed you that Kc's secondary was top 3 VS wideouts in the NFL last year....and why that wasn't good for the Bills. That played out in the game. This year is NOT the same. KC doesn't have Breeland, I also beleive honey badger has lost half a step. The others defenders just aren't as good...the Bills wideouts should have an easier time of it compared to last year. KC has been running out Hitchens Nieman and Bolton at LB. Hitchens is slow and way overpaid. Nieman shouldn't be on an NFL roster, let alone a practice squad. Bolton (rookie 2nd rounder) has been good, but he isn't great in coverage yet. Hitchens and Nieman are easy targets in the run and pass game. Often getting swallowed up by O lineman, and slow to get to a spot in the run game...and slow in coverage as well. One improvement Kc may make VS the Bills is LB Willie Gay should be back...if so, he offers A TON more spead and coverage abilty and potentially makes this AWFUL D, slighly less awful. On the Dline, KC has moved Chris Jones to DE. This has not worked out well. He's not been very effective as a pass rusher out there...can't set an edge in the run game iether. The guys KC starts/rotates in at DT are LIGHT. And for being light dudes, they also dont' rush the passer well. They get ROLLED OVER in the run game easily. So, KC's line is both small, AND ineffecitve at rushing the passer...it SUCKS. As a diehard, Chiefs fan....I do not expect my beloved Chiefs to win this game. I see Buffalo as the better team overall, with a QB that negates KC's normal advantage at QB in most games. Not this one. Allen is the man. I can't see the KC defense forcing so much as 1 punt for the upcoming game....KC will hope for a mistake/turnover or 2 because we aren't stopping you guys without that. If the Bills do not make an error, they should win the game. It may be that you get one or two stops and that's ball game. KC would need to be turnover free and proably not have to punt to be the winner. That's alot ot ask for. Hate to say it, but I think this is a Bills win....it's there for the taking. I don't htink this is a question of KC stopping you guys...but for your team to just have it in their heads they they can win this game and then go and do it. I hope KC takes it, but frankly, this is the Bills game to take if they can play their A game. GO CHIEFS!
  24. We HAVE to beat you week 5 to have a shot at that 1 seed.. We do hold the tiebreaker on the browns. Bills playing super hot right now....may be in the cards that you guys get that one seed. We'll see.
