  1. The big choice(s) KC is going to have to make are who among Brown, Charvarious Ward and Honey Badger, will they keep and who can they afford out of that group? My guess is that Brown will sign or get tagged. They'd prefer to get a deal done so they can structure it as opposed to the tag wich is a lump sum hit on the cap. Ward (who is better than alot of fans in KC and outside KC will ever admit) is going to get PAID. KC won't be able to afford him. He's been a GREAT bargain for what he's been. We'll all know what the league really thinks of him when you see the bonkers contract he ends up with. Badger....there is mutual interest, but the $$$ might not work. If they can't work out something the team can live with for the cap...KC has his replacement on the Roster in my opinion...they'd just move Sneed to Safety...wich is what he played in college...he can blitz, he can play slot and he can play S. He's on a rookie deal and they will be fine there. Hitchens will be gone and can't go soon enough.....he makes the team worse when he's on the field....and his contract has SUCKED! Clark will be gone as well because he cost too much...he's a good player, but not a super star...and he's been paid, and would be owed superstar money if he's still on the roster....KC will need to find a cheaper, but adequate replacement. I like not signing players who are about to get old, but one guy that I am willing to bust the bank back open for one more time is Tyreek Hill. That guy is a physical freak of nature who is just built different...I believe he'll remain productive into his mid 30's. All things that KC has to think about....it does get a little harder as Mahomes number starts to increase now.
  2. I’m not sure there is a complicated answer or solution required. The team that you have is good enough to have won that game. of course you’ll look to improve in the draft, in FA, and evaluate everything like all teams do. Yiu could not possibly ask your elite QB to do more than he did. That was an incredible effort. If the Bills win that game, this goes down as the masterpiece in Allen’s legacy. It still should anyway. Allen is too good not to break through and win a Lombardi. I’m more sure of that today than I’ve ever been. This off season will be slow and bitter, but good things are coming.
  3. ....Ironically, KC proposed this rule change a couple years ago....no takers.
  4. This thread is as good a spot as any..... That was an epic game.... Allen was every bit as awesome as he could be and was up to the challenge. He's too good not get a Lombardi at some point. Just a couple things.... In 2018, (before KC won the SB in 2019) Mahomes, did the EXACT same thing in the AFC title game against the Patriots. New England had scored with 39 seconds left. to go up by 3. Mahomes then moved the Chiefs 48 yards in two plays and kicked the tying field goal. The difference was NE won the toss and KC never saw the ball in OT. That loss hurt alot....and no one talked about how Mahomes and KC scored 24 points in the 4th quarter of that game. Since it was Brady winning in OT and going on to win yet another SB....that performance kind of got lost. I hope Josh Allens performance in this game, is remember as an all time great game by a QB in a high leverage situation...he was incredible. ....I expect...and I am looking forward to these two teams AGAIN, in the playoffs next year.
  5. The winner of this game is going to win the Super Bowl. KC or Buffalo would beat the Bengals in a home playoff AFC title game. The 3 QB's left as of this morning in the NFC...Garropolo, Stafford, and Brady....the first two are guaranteed to make at least 1 if not 2 huge mistakes. Brady is still Brady but Tampa isn't quite as good or as healthy as they were last year. The Bills 2nd half against them proves the Buccs are vulnerable. The two QB in this game are the 2 best that are left, and the winning QB in this game will be the best of what's left. I am rooting for KC. I am predicting a KC win....just as you have all taken note of how everything is falling into place....be assured, KC thinks the exact same thing....it's all falling into place! If KC wins today, they will be hosting the AFCCG for the FOURTH time in a row. That's never happened before. Anyhow....obviously, I want the Chiefs to win. If Buffalo wins...I'll be rooting for the Bills the rest of the way. GO CHIEFS!
  6. I AGREE with your take here completely...but we live in a day and age when a guy strings together 2 good games in a row and he's suddenly the best QB ever...I mean...4 weeks ago Justin Herbert was crowned by the talking heads as the best...and he's not in the playoffs! I think Allen is great...he's an ELITE QB. But...if the Bills lose....there will be some idiots in the media start to run with that narrative.
  7. The only big difference right now between Mahomes and Allen is playoffs. Both are clearly really good QB's. I don't really think anyone accomplishes much debating which one is better. If you want to tell me Allen is better....fine...he's better. The part that matters is that both teams have the kind of QB that you believe can win a SB. The big factor here could be the pressure of getting a SB under your belt. Andy Ried had that pressure himself a long time. It's a big deal. I think in Reid and Mahoems case...having won one, and having gone to back to back SB..KC doesn't have the pressure of having to prove they can win big playoff games or super bowls...they've done that already. I think for guys like Marino back in the day...each passing season that you didn't get there or get a ring...made the next season or playoff game that much more intense because it's in your mind that you are expected to get it done...and it's that much worse when the team on the other sideline has gotten in done. Allen should have a very long and productive stint as an NFL QB...but it's these kind of games where you get it done or you start being labled in the same category is a Marino, where you are acknowledged as an elite, HOF type player, who just can't win the biggest games. Just something to think about.
  8. looks like KC will play the Bills at arrowhead again next season too.....shaping up to be be a long term, frequent meeting rivalry
  9. Neither has Mahomes
  10. Some thoughts: 1. I can understand some here might be irritated by a lack of respect etc by the media....I think at this point, the majority of the media is takiing the Bills. 2. The KC media IS NOT all about KC. Many see this is an epic matchup against a great team that is more than capable of winning the game. And on a side not...for those who keep on harping over and over again about how no one remembers the bills WR corps had injuries....that simply isn't true.....you sound like Chiefs fans who claim no one remembers the chiefs O line was a bunch of 2nd and 3rd stringers when we played the Buccs....that gets mentioned ALL THE TIME...but people act like it's never brought up. 3. It's a bit hard to guage the Chiefs overall when you consider the entire season and the numbers from the whole year. Early in the year, KC was losing the TO battle badly, every week. And in the second half of the year, that completely flipped. Here is KC's results and turnover margin each game - 1. Cleveland W by four points +2 2. Baltimore L by one point. Even 3. Chargers L by six. -4 4. Eagles W by 12 -1 5. Bills lost by 18 -4 6. WFT won by 18 -1 7. Titans lost by 24 -2 8. Giants won by 3 -1 So first half of season KC was -11 on Turnovers and went 4-4 KC turned the ball over 19 times. KC also had -10 point differential after these 8 games. Since then - KC is plus 15 in TO KC has only turned it over 6 times in their last 9 games of the season. In those games KC was +118 The overall yardage totals aren't all that different....but the turnovers got fixed. KC didn't lose any games where they were positive in TO margin. KC also won 3 games where they lost the TO margin. You might say it's important for the Bills to be even or on the plus side of the TO's on Sunday. 4. If the Bills go on to win a Super Bowl....don't worry about the media coverage etc....you'll get to hear Chris Collinsworth nut to every Josh Allen pass like he does for Mahomes now. Allen will be crowned as the best QB in football and all that good stuff. Mahomes has gotten that treatment because he followed up a 50 TD 5000 yard passing season, with a super bowl win that came with a 4th Q comeback. Allen will get his time in the sun if he wins a lombardi. That's how it goes. The Bills are a really good team that can win Sunday. The Chiefs are a really good team that can win Sunday.
  11. Don't judge the KC fans at the game (people who have actual jobs and money) VS internet fans.... I promise, you show up in the parking lot at Arrowhead, you'll be offered all beer and BBQ you can handle by random fans who'd be glad to have you share in the festivities. I don't post on Chiefs Planet either. late to the game, but I would also like to weigh in on condiments. Ketchup....great for fries, burgers, hot dogs...I also enjoy it on hot links and gas station burritos. Hienz is my preffered choice as some others have mentioned...but if you happen to come accross a bottle of Red Gold brand...that's some good stuff too. Mayo...I'm ok with it mixed with kechup....never as a stand alone...and especially not as a dip for fries! Miracle Whip, however can do some stuff...good on a ham sandwich, great to make Tuna salad with....best tuna you'll ever make...Miracle whip, dijon mustard, and Sracha sauce...makes a real nice sweet, heat, tangy tuna salad. I learned from this place to do Bleu Chees with wings...not ranch. I've seen the beef and weck mentioned here a few times......I have got to try one sometime...sounds really good. Ketchup also good to add to Chili from time to time of you want to sweeten it up a little. ....don't need to debate A-1 sauce for steak etc...but I love to have some of that with a baked potato or even a little on the side to dab in potato salad. For those going to KC for the first time.....get some BBQ. It's all good for the most part...Gates is expensive and mostly living off their reputation at this point. If you get Gates, just asked for a mixed plate dry and extra bread. You get a little of everything and can make some sandwiches out of the bread...and you can get your own sauce. Joes is your 1st choice. Get a Zman. For a fancy, high end experience and the best fried mushrooms, you do Jack Stack If you like it extra sweet....do Slaps the BEST KC style beans are at Zardas (also sold in grocery stores) Cheapest is Rosedales...a KC tradition....the sauce is not a KC style sauce..vinegary...but the ribs are cheap. Best ribs is Johnys. Q 39...high end high quality....Burnt Ends SO GOOD. Avoid Bandanas if you even see one Rib Crib and Dickies are NOT KC BBQ. Those are chains and should be avoided. Espeically Dickies If you don't mind being in a kind of grimy, dingy place, but you want a staggering mountain of meat and fries, you go to the original Arthur bryants.
  12. So I am getting the vibe that having bad dudes on the team is OK..as long as it's not too many. ....The standard is one or two on the Bills is OK...do I got that right? Again..I am not trying to win an argument here about what team has the better guys, or how your team has fewer bad people on it....whatever...I'll take that L. If they are free per the rules of our justice system and society to play football, then fine...I'll put up with bad people being on the team I root for. ....to @MJS ....so what you are saying here is that fans called for Oliver to be released BUT you'd all have to see how it played out in court first? But Willie Gay doesn't get his day in court first? I'm not defending Willie Gay (or any other guys who break the law and do crappy stuff) ...I am point out your collective standard here for acceptable behavior and character....you have one standard for Bills guys ....and another for other teams players. My standard is again....all teams have bad dudes...I wish my team didn't. Society has determined they are cleared to work....and so I'll root for my team, to win, bad and good dudes.
  13. I'm not the one trying to make moral arguemnts ONLY for other teams players....I accept there are bad dudes on my team...and I don't care if yoru team has bad dudes, good dudes...etc.....It's just interesting that you guys dont' seem to ahve a problem with Dodson.
  14. Tyrel Dodson is playing for your team: The woman told officers that Dodson was intoxicated at her apartment when he shoved her against a wall and slapped her face. The woman, who also told police that she had slapped Dodson in the face as well, told Dodson to leave her apartment and locked herself in a bathroom before Dodson forced the door open, hitting her in the head with the door, according to the police report. No one here is demanding he be released or protesting the Bills because this guy is a Bill.
  15. You are right...he got his day in court and he was proven innocent. Before that did anyone call for his release? Did anyone give up being a Bills fan becasue of this arrest? Did people appeal to let Oliver go through the system? I'm not here to tell you Willie Gay is a great guy. I am saying he smashed a vacuum and has a court date. I hope he plays well Sunday.
  16. KC 35, Bills 21. ***Total Homer pick*** The Bills no.1 ranked D does not scare me. Kc's line has gelled since week 5. Unless you are getting to Mahomes with 4 rushing...it's not going to be a good day. Willie Gay, the Vacuum destroyer, will play....I won't be surprised if they have him spy Allen. KC will NOT blitz...and will rely on the front 4 to get there....and they will. Chris Jones specifically. KC will commit to stopping the run, and play alot of 7 man coverages....so I think what you'll see is KC try and keep Allen one diminsional...we all know what a great runner and off script player he is....I think there will be a committment to keep Allen from running. Pat Mahomes is now 7-2 in the playoffs. Both losses were Tom Brady. One of those losses was at home in a game that went to OT where Brady and NE wont the toss and Pat never got the ball. Pat Mahomes has never been on the field at Arrowhead at the end of the 4th quarter of a playoff game having lost.
  17. Gold lot is close to the stadium....it's good parking if you don't like to walk all that much.
  18. 1. We all wish everyone on the team we root for was a fine upstanding pilar of the community. They aren't. Alot of these guys aren't good people. The Chiefs have some bad dudes...the Chiefs give alot of 2nd chances, 3rd chances etc. Some of those are deserved, others not so much. ....instead of trying to judge who is worthy of that or not...I just default to the justice system. If some crappy person is legally free to play football for my team and can help them win....fine, whatever...go play hard and win, and try not to be a jackwagon going forward. The Bills aren't immune from this. You still have Tyrel Dodson on your team. He's not a even a starter but he plays....surely he's not on the roster because he's a high character guy based on his recent history. I didn't see anyone here demanding the Bills release Ed Oliver when he got arrested....I understand he was later absolved.....Gay hasn't had his day in court....from the police report sounds like he got pissed off and broke a vacuum. Somehow I don't foresee a long prison sentence coming for that.
  19. While there has been some noise about this...the Chiefs are not remotely close to changing the name. The term Chief isn't considered disparaging. Some may find the tomahawk chop etc offensive however. Let's assume KC kept the name "Chiefs" and put a firemans helmet as the logo....would that be disparaging? If the crowd made siren noises, would that be degrading to firemen? Should we make mascots of first responders? ... Anyhow...this won't be the last time the Bills and "CHIEFS" meet up.
  20. Coming off of 30+ point differential playoff HOME wins, teams that follow that up with a road playoff game are just 2-7.
  21. ...ah....ok....I understand what you meant now.
  22. I didn't quote that because I think KC is going to get jobbed by the refs...putting it here because Bills fans believe KC should get flagged more for physical DB play as in the game last year.
  23. Hussy Ref crew.....fewest PI penalties called in the nfl this season.
  24. I'm excited that KC and Buffalo are going to match up once again in the playoffs. Many of you know I'm a huge Chiefs fan and clearly, I'll be rooting hard for KC to win the game. As far as I'm concerned, this is the big AFC matchup of the playoffs and the two teams are coming off big wins and playing well heading into this. Many of you know I showed up here after the trade and was kind of trolling around, and seeing how things from your perspective looked once Mahomes got rolling. When Allen was drafted, I was a fan, I was hopeful he'd be a good player, but I was very clear that I didn't think he'd ever develop...and I was very wrong about that.... It's been alot of fun to be a small part of your awesome community, and it's been alot of fun to see Allen become the great player that he is. I've come to really like the Bills as my 2nd team over the past few seasons. If the Bills win this game, I'll be pulling for them to go all the way. Your fans, your city and your team deserve it. If KC wins....I am sure this won't be the last time our teams meet up in a big, high stakes game....and regardless of the outcome, I hope we get to see these QB's on the field together many more times in the years to come.
  25. 12) BBQ = Kansas City.
