  1. I don't think I've ever seen Allen get as much time in the pocket as Lamar has been getting every time I've tuned into this game. It's ridiculous. Anyone can look like MVP with this completely non-existent pass rush.
  2. most of the players that we are down are expected to be back by playoffs, I believe. That’s the difference between this year and some other seasons in which we had injury issues and were not getting those players back (so far, at least). If guys like Milano, Smoot, Keon(?) are back towards the end of the season or when the playoffs begin, I think you have to go all-in, because depending on how the rest of the season goes with injuries, we could potentially be healthier than we have ever been once the games matter the most….
  3. It's funny. There's the camp that thinks the wait implies X-Rays were likely negative (including Banged up Bills) which renders a more "positive" sign, while others seem to think the delay and need for additional testing does not bode well for Coleman. I don't know where I'm at, but I sure hope it's the former.
  4. Sucks about Smoot, but Coleman is the one I have been holding my breath on since the game winning FG. This update can't come soon enough.
  5. What I like about Elam is he has a knack for taking the ball away. In limited appearances he has had a relatively high # of takeaways (including playoffs). Just yesterday he had the fumble recovery and nearly had a HUGE forced fumble that would have changed the narrative on Elam today if it had counted.
  6. If bass missed I think we should have been equally critical of the play calls leading up to that kick. The fact it was 4th and 10 was mildly embarrassing.
  7. Might be, but I bet you he closes in on Lamar in the MVP odds at the same time
  8. Still early, but have a feeling this might end up being Beane's best draft..... not including 2018.
  9. Well McDermott ain't gonna stop now
  10. Hopkins will get hurt, the Chiefs will win the Super Bowl anyway, and the narrative will be even more annoying than it was last season.
  11. Vancouver, WA here (Salmon Creek). I planned on going to this game with my wife and son, but tickets were a little too pricey for me. We would need 3 of them and they were $300+ per seat at the time I was looking.:: and we are talking about some of the least desirable seats in the stadium. So… I don’t know… Might just watch the game at the Portland Bills Backer bar (pretty sure you know of it) but I haven’t completely counted it out just yet; I hear there are great deals on game day, so I’ll keep looking out. Anyway, we did attend SoFi last season for the surprisingly tense Chargers vs Bills game. SoFi is pretty funny in that everyone around me was a Bills fan and the vast majority of the crowd was also pro-Bills.
  12. KC's offense has been off to at LEAST as many sluggish starts as the Bills this year and Mahomes is throwing picks. Yet their defense has been so dominant for 3 years now that it can completely shut down their opponent - any opponent - as long as it takes for the offense to finally get its act together and put together a drive. But sure... it's always all about Mahomes.
  13. How are there no better kickers available than this? I always assumed kicker is one of those positions where there should be an abundance of unsigned talent for the simple fact that teams only keep 1 place kicker, so that's 32 jobs available in the NFL for one specific position.... SURELY there are better options that fall right outside of the top 32 than someone who went 4 for 9 on kicks of 40+, right??? I mean that is pretty much Tyler Bass!! And this dude was kicking for LA! At least Bass has the wind excuse. Man.. finding a way to downgrade from Bass... that's not easy! I gotta hand it to Beane.
  14. It was ugly, but you had to come away feeling very satisfied with how much command Josh Allen had in this game up against the #1 passing defense in the NFL, despite the lack of talent we have at receiver. There were a lot of people that genuinely did not even believe the Bills offense could ever look good again until we brought in a new receiver because we had been "figured out". Apparently, we adjusted, and I enjoyed seeing that very much. Also, NO INJURIES!!!!!!!!!!! For me, some of the "least enjoyable wins" are the games in which key players are lost long term despite the win. For instance, I'd rather win the way we did, than win a blowout like the Lions this weekend..... but lose Hutchinson for the year. No thanks. I can't enjoy that. This, it was ugly, but I enjoyed it... because a lot of the biggest issues from the previous weeks were addressed (particularly on offense) and we came out healthy.
  15. If James Cook isn’t practicing again today, that all but confirms the dreaded turf toe injury imo.
  16. Ugh… in other words, we very likely would have won. Awesome.
  17. still don’t understand why we don’t elevate KJ Hamler. If Allen is so dead set on attempting these deep balls, doesn’t KJ give you a better chance than Hollins?
  18. Yeah and unlike the Thigh Doctor or Banged Up Bills who speculated turf toe injury, I'm not a doctor, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, but I'd bet the odds of Cook's foot NOT being injured after the way it landed on the turf in that clip are about as strong as the possibility that Josh Allen was NOT concussed after he had his lights knocked out.
  19. So if you take Curtis Samuel's off-season turf toe injury, combined with the fact that those injuries tend to linger, combined with the fact that he has struggled to do anything meaningful all-season, and that he is now back on the injury report with "toe/foot", I am willing to bet he has been playing through this injury all along, as some have speculated.
  20. I like it, however, that would entail we have learned how to win close games at the end as well. Were not able to do it in the Jets game last season, and the end of today's close game was not a good look. Hopefully you are right because that is going to be essential at some point. Can't rely on only winning games when we blowout our opponent.
  21. Why do we always have to hit rock bottom before turning it around? EVERY season. And it is always after a great start to the season as well. And as bad as this one looked, I hate to say, this wasn't rock bottom folks. Losing to the Jets, however, that probably would be.
  22. I’ve always noticed , with the Bills , we always have to hit rock bottom before we turn it around. Unfortunately, I am not sure if this is rock bottom yet, but losing to the Jets would be. We always start the season hot, cool off, and then finish it off with a nice run after finally making adjustments. I have to admit, I fear we are going to lose to the Jets, and my only rationale is “that’s how this team always is” which might not seem like much, and yet, we see this happen every year.
  23. I want to see KJ Hamler elevated and used in the game plan this week. If used properly, he can give this offense a dimension that nobody has seen yet and no defenses have prepared for or have answers to. Hamler is one of the rare athletes that is not only fast, but his acceleration is insane, and he can pretty much hit full speed right off the bat. If we are talking about McKenzie replacements, that's the guy, if anything. And on a side note, didn't McKenzie initially start on the Practice Squad for us when we first signed him? And then we eventually elevated him after the weekly jet sweeps became a nice wrinkle to the offense?
  24. Yes. He has been good this season. He has been our most consistent pass rusher, I am pretty sure (sacks in 3 of 4 games played). When I heard about this news, combined with Shakir possibly playing through a high ankle sprain, I am not liking our chances against the Texans, who are getting players back, in contrast. side note…. Has anyone else noticed how EVERY TIME the bills get significant piece(s) back into the lineup, we LOSE an important player around the same time?? We will likely have Taron and/or Bernard back, so we lose Miller.
  25. The only drive I wasn’t watching last night was the Bills TD drive… and the ensuing 3-and-out with Spector’s sack of Lamar Jackson. Everything before that, and after that, was terrible. I think I win (it’s my fault).
