And As far as how I feel the day after, it depends on the minute. sometimes it’s wish Knox could’ve caught that TD in OT before the Allen int or wish we didn’t fumble the snap with the game won or wish we didn’t give up another “catch of the year” in a dramatic loss and yet AGAIN failed to “knock it down” or this team isn’t learning from these Heartbreaking losses yeah. Just depends on the minute. Here we are again. Needing Sunday to come and get this taste out of our mouths, but this time, I’m a lot more worried. Yep, even against the Browns.

yeah I get it, probably the result of not getting sleep and having already gone through every thought related to the game itself 10 Times over, my mind wandered. And after watching that presser, all I could think was “man, this is getting old”. For once, I wanted to see some of the sentiment we got from like every other player that interviewed for the Bills after the game. These games aren’t “normal” like he apparently makes them out to be. In this particular case, I wanted to see some kind of frustration, passion, holding guys accountable as you said. Instead of “MAN! I don’t know but I had FUN out there!” Yeah I don’t know man. Lol. I better get some sleep. Oh wait, it’s Monday. Gotta work.

I’d feel better if the AFC East wasn’t good from top to bottom this year. Not sure how we can pull 14-3 out of this remaining schedule and our toughest schedule in years overall, but I do still think we end up with some kind of record that gets us into the playoffs. but let’s start to accept the strong likelihood of playing in Arrowhead again if we are fortunate enough to get to that point, because I really think by the time these playoffs are underway, anyone can beat anyone.

I get that he has played for 3 different teams in approximately a one year span, and I get that he has been through every scenario as he constantly reminds us in every press conference, particularly with his endless references to playing for the Rams, where he played for one entire half season + playoffs, but… Does anyone else get the sense from listening to his pressers that he still hasn’t embraced being a member of the Bills TEAM? look he is a great player and he has come through in some big moments for us. Unfortunately, we couldn’t capitalize on his last couple timely sacks, though. But, it seems like when he is in press conferences, there is a little too much of “you guys” instead of “us”. No loss seems to bother him (was he like that in Denver too? Not sure) And I’ve never seen a Bills player openly express how much of a FAN he is of the opponent after getting beat, and select players on the opponent’s team. You’d think he has played for as many teams as Ryan Fitzpatrick, but in fact, this is only his 3rd team. It is a bit reminiscent of Frank Gore and Emmanuel Sanders when they were here for a year and knew it, and it was reflected in their interviews, but both players were at the ends of their careers and knew it too, and they also had to know they were only in Buffalo for a year. But Miller signed a 6 YEAR DEAL to be a Buffalo Bill, and while most of us probably don’t expect him to play out that entire contract, I think we also expect at least a few years out of it, so I don’t know, maybe it’s just me but the pressers are starting to bug me… I wish I didn’t get the impression that he seems disassociated from the team at times, and more of a neutral Player that is just there for himself and his personal goals. That said, if that’s how he has always been, and if that’s what makes him the player that he is, then alright.. I’m on board I guess? On a side note, I also like his positivity, but sometimes it feels a little misplaced. He preaches games like these being “good medicine” etc. but I can’t help but think that at some point, when we CONTINUE to lose games in the most explicable fashion, are these games really building character and making us stronger? Or is it just causing us to fall deeper and deeper down this hole we are digging, and all we can do as fans is wait and hope for the team to finally and suddenly snap out of it like we did in the second half against the Bucs last year, and never look back. I know this is probably unimportant in the grand scheme of things, and there’s a lot more to be upset about today related to the actual game that was played, but it’s 3AM here, and I’ve already gone through every thought process trying to find a silver lining somewhere so I can move on (That seems to be how I process bills losses) and the last presser I watched was Von’s, so it kinda stuck with me.

its incredible how many of us there are man. Lol. If only Norwood made that kick. Maybe I’d be on another teams board right now instead. Heck, maybe I’d be on no message board at all. My local teams were Raiders and Niners. And I never cared much for them or their fans, especially Niners. I’ve developed a respect for the loyal Raider fans over the years and for a long period of time we were able to relate to each other, each going through miserable never ending playoff droughts.

first football game I ever watched in my entire life was wide right. I guess you could say it kind of stuck with me, pulling for the Bills like I did that day and wishing they’d finally pull it off. funny thing is, when I meet other Bills fans that are NOT Buffalo natives, I’m amazed how many of them have similar stories to mine and same approximate age as well. Maybe a lot of out of state Bills fan born in the mid 80s. EDIT- I also vividly remember being in 3rd grade when the Bills lost to Cowboys in the Super Bowl and I was pulling for them by that time. When I went to school the next day, the entire class was ripping on the Bills. Making fun of how badly we were blown out, and it just didn’t sit well with me. That’s when I became a lifer pretty sure

its weird because for the longest time he had that INCREDIBLE stat about 0 or 1 turnovers in the red zone in his career and I think that stat was still valid when this season started. he’s gone from that to having 4 red zone ints in 2 weeks I mean.. what is going on. one of the 50 Things I keep going back to is “I wish Knox was able to secure the TD on the play before” like he did against KC. Allen’s receivers had been making incredible catches for him most of the game
-
Here’s one I’ve been trying to figure out for years. can anyone explain why we even care THIS MUCH!? especially those of us that are out of state fans. i started following this team since wide right (yep) and I think for me the attachment is based on how I view the Bills as the ultimate underdog and I just want the day to come where they finally pull it off. But that’s all I can come up with. I still don’t know why it effects me as much as it does though.

You’re not done. You just needed to vent and I get it, that’s what this board is for. I can relate to some of the things you’re saying. I’m 38, have a 5-year-old and days like today I wish I wasn’t so obsessed with the Bills because of how I handle the losses. Hopefully writing that out helped you to some extent. usually for me I go straight to WGR after a tough loss. This week I had no interest. This game was different. I don’t know why all of the insane endings in Bills history (especially as of late) seem to involve us losing.

some do. I’m one of them. But when I’m being honest with myself, deep down I know he isn’t, and I also know it’s probably for the better than he doesn’t play. I just remember how miserable I was last year the week after the Bills were on a 2 game losing streak and I guess it’s kind of a defense mechanism for not wanting to feel that way again. I also tried to warm up to the idea of Keenum starting, but when I watch the guy’s highlights, every 5 throws there’s a throw in which I think to myself “Yikes… that one had serious pick-6 potential”. It ain’t gonna be easy to watch him, unless we have one heck of a game plan. This is the biggest test for Dorsey yet imo

On to Minnesota (get this game in the rear view mirror!)

This is true to some extent, but 3 things remain true. 1. Our injury report has been longer than our opponent’s every week, pretty sure. 2. this is the most adversity we have dealt with injury-wise in probably 4-5 years. For the record, it’s also one of the reasons last years loss against KC was so difficult for me to get over. Even with the Tre White injury, I knew it would be asking a lot for our team to be as healthy as it was in 2021. For instance, this team is 8-0 most likely if Poyer and Hyde were as healthy as last year. 3. In the meantime, KC seems to continue to be as lucky as they always are, injury wise. And when they do have injuries they are short term. As far as the guys on IR, I think our situation would look a lot more promising if Hyde’s injury were short term like we initially thought. He is not as replaceable as a guy like Jamison Crowder, for instance, where even though slot WR is a weakness on this offense, there is reason to believe we can figure something out in the passing game by the time the playoffs start. -
I don't think he plays, not necessarily because he can't, but more because the Bills coaching staffed has erred on the side of caution this season. Granted, this is also a unique case, as it's the most important player on the team and the guy our entire offense is designed around. That said, I agree that missing multiple games doesn't make much sense either. I mean, why would he go from wearing a brace to having his arm merely taped up as it was today if it were 3-4 week injury? 23 of 25 though? 92% from your QB. Willing to bet that's the highest rate in the NFL.

Thanks for posting this. I was actually going to ask you to post it for a third time when I read that you already posted it twice, but I went back 4-5 pages in this thread and didn't see it yet, so I gave up (I bet it was on the 6th page back) and I decided not to ask, but I guess it worked out in the end 🤣

Hold on... Serious question here... Why does it seem like in a 24 hour period the general consensus has gone from "He would probably be good enough to play against the Vikings but it would be wise to let him sit a week" to "Uh oh! We might be losing him for 4 weeks!" Is it just because he missed another practice? Is it something that was said somewhere? Is it because Josh looked "sick and depressed" in today's clip of him running off the practice field? As far as I can tell, nothing has come out today that would make me feel any different from yesterday, so.. what am I missing? 😂

If there are no major updates between now and Sunday, I think this is where the line settles. -

That's why I'm kinda bummed about Allen's injury. Even if he plays, I'd be shocked if he's the guy we got used to watching prior to these last 6 quarters, so I was really looking forward to this game as an opportunity to "put it all behind us" and get back on track, until it became apparent that Allen's injury was likely going to impact this game. Granted, there is still a chance for this to happen. And if it does, maybe that makes an even bigger statement if Allen starts and has a gutsy performance coming off a scary injury. Maybe even takes the lead back in the MVP race? But yeah, I don't know, with Allen at 100%, I really saw this as the Bills winning in a blowout. I felt confident about the matchup, I felt confident about the Vikings being the beneficiary of an easy schedule, and in contrast, I was worried the entire week about the Jets (I figured we would win, but they'd keep it close, because their defense is underrated and matchup up well against Bills). Plus, I liked the home field advantage this week. Would be a dang shame to waste this opportunity, but... if there is ANY risk of making Allen's situation worse... we've gotta start Keenum. Who knows? Maybe it can be like the infamous Barkley vs. Jets game a few years ago that basically cemented Barkley's status as the Bills #2 QB for a couple years thereafter. Maybe the Keenum return to Minneapolis game would be something like that too? Never know. -
Jets, when healthy, at the skill positions outside QB you’ve got: WR- Garrett Wilson, Denzel Mims, Elijah Moore, Corey Davis (definitely a lot of young and developing talent here) RB- Breece Hall, Carter, Robinson (Hall looked like the offensive ROY prior to ACL injury. In fairness this was also before Kenneth Walker’s stock took off though, but he could’ve taken one of those runs to the house against us on Sunday IMO) TE- Yeah.. not so good. But there is definitely a lot of sneaky young talent on that offense and learning to win with it now, they’re learning to involve Garrett Wilson more in recent weeks, and I think it can only get better.

A point was being made about how Dallas won most of their games without their starting QB. My point is, that’s comparing apples and oranges. There are also plenty of examples where teams fall apart after losing their starting QB. and it’s also pretty obvious that Allen has elevated the game of his teammates since he has been here. Guys like John Brown and Cole Beasley have had a lot more production with Josh Allen than anywhere else in their career.

I have this weird feeling that we would find out our roster on offense is not as good as we thought if Allen were to be out. Diggs is our best player outside of Allen. He came from Minnesota, where I would argue he had 2 teammates on offense that were already better than anyone else we have in Thielen and Dalvin Cook. And then if you look around the league - heck even within our own division (outside of the Pats) - there seems to be a lot more talent on offense outside the QB position. Yes that does include the Jets (especially if you include Breece Hall). They have a LOT of YOUNG talent, particularly after the last couple drafts.
