Considering the Bills have always been effective on offense against Miami no matter the year or coordinator, and considering Miami does not have Jaelen Phillips or Bradley Chubb, I would probably agree with this. If the Bills offense is sputtering against Miami, and especially if we end up losing, I can’t imagine Brady is back next season as OC. I personally think our offense will come to play though. The thing is too, a lot of this falls on Josh Allen and his receivers. There is a combination of bad drops by receivers and bad misses by Allen lately, and that can’t happen on Sunday night. Especially in a game where we may HAVE to get off to a fast start like the last time we faced Miami. that is where I am mostly concerned. This offense is back to getting off to slow starts which cannot happen this week.

Most position groups are injured by this point in the season. The fact we have had zero injuries on the OL all season is incredible and it’s an automatic bonus when going up DLines every week that are no longer the same group that started the season. not trying to take anything away here, but if every team in the NFL still had their starters at OL, we probably aren’t 4th best in any OL ranking. Some teams have been shuffling their OL every week all season it seems. We probably won’t be this fortunate in the injury department next season (on offense) so I hope we can take advantage!

The Bills are going to be the first team ever to lose in OT after getting the ball first and scoring a TD. Just watch.

I have learned to accept it by telling myself that if Josh Allen was any of our past QBs, most of those hits that cause him to flop would have legitimately brought him down anyway.

I used to think the 2021 Bills was our best shot at a Super bowl. I'm beginning to believe the 2023 Bills might be just as much, if not more-so of a better chance at the Super Bowl (also in part due to the current state of the AFC). And the funny thing is, with all of that, it's no guarantee that we even make it into the playoffs. Crazy. It is going to be way too much of a disappointment if we do not get in at this point. I don't think I'll be able to handle the "what ifs". Put it this way, we just outplayed 3 straight teams that will be in the playoffs already, and we are fighting to get in. But yes, to your point OP, I do appreciate Allen. And I remind myself of that frequently as a fan that was there for every game & every year of the 17-year drought.

NFL Week #15 - Cowboys at Bills pregame Thread
ShakAttack replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
my son was born in 2017 as well 1/11/17 to be exact aka same day we hired McDermott which is part of the reason I selfishly did not want him fired -
It’s Dallas week and the Division is on the line!

To be fair, he was really hard on himself about that decision during the post-game interview, knew he screwed up and owned it, so hopefully he won't make the same mistake twice. Then again, when it comes to making the same mistakes over and over, all I can think of is the Buffalo Bills defending Hail Marys. So... hopefully we aren't in a situation where we have to find out if he learned from that mistake or not. That's where I'm at. -

There were several consecutive years in which New England was notorious for covering the spread. It was like they could never be favored by enough, and bettors were putting big money on them every single week because of their ridiculous record ATS. I would imagine Vegas lost a lot overall on those bets, fwiw. -
I don't like this. Raiders and Bills have yet to win on the same week this season. That have, however, lost on the same week. Twice.

Is there an official update on Daquan yet?
ShakAttack replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
If not for that 1 week span with 3 major injuries, this would have actually been a relatively healthy season -
You’re right. In fact, this article makes me feel bad … for myself, and the rest of us “internet nobodies” in here that root for this franchise and we are mostly all back on the “we can beat KC!!!” Bandwagon only to have this come out right before the game. Another distraction, for a team that is mentally weak, before the most important game of the year. Thanks a lot, Tyler Dunne. Jerk.

It’s Chiefs week - and the season is on the line

Any word on Nick Bolton? I know he is practicing, and that last week he was practicing with a cast. Don't know if LP or FP (would be shocked if it was FP) -
Game thread: MNF Cincinnati at Jacksonville

True. But does anyone else in the AFC really deserve anything this year either? Maybe the Ravens. But that’s all I’ve got. -

I believe that we are very capable of beating KC. my problem is… If the Bills win, that would entail closing out a close game, against one of the most clutch players in the game. Based on this season alone, should I have any faith in our ability to do that? I want to , but I am so sick of being let down too -

The Bills miss playoffs looking like one of the best teams in the NFL down the stretch, and better than the majority of the teams that will represent the AFC in the playoffs in this bizarre season. I am convinced this is our “Billsy” fate. -
So am I the only one that rooted for KC today merely because I didn’t want to deal with Mahomes/Reid coming off a loss? Yeah. I probably was. for the record though, it wasn’t easy. Had to keep reminding myself that it’s what I wanted every time KC scored.

Chance of Playoffs now, according to NYT simulator
ShakAttack replied to Ray Stonada's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wonder if there is any shot Miami resting starters by week 18. It wasn’t easy, and I had to keep reminding myself throughout the game, but I was actually rooting for KC today merely because I did not want to see them coming off a loss. And oddly enough, they lose the game and it felt oh so Bills-esque… but coming from the Chiefs!?!? So now I am starting to believe that it isn’t the Bills, these years of misfortune, maybe it’s just me! After all, the first NFL game I have ever watched was …….. Wide Right Sorry guys, I’d stop if I could. -
And catches a pass on 3rd and 18. What's new.

This is the Bills though. It just seems too unlike the Bills to NOT give us any false hope. Anything less than this coming down to the wire only to be disappointed in the worst way would surprise me and... maybe even be a relief.

Yep. And of course, that’s why Dak is better than Allen.
