How Good is Josh Allen Really?
thenorthremembers replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall
Am I sure he'll make the HOF, no. What I said was, if he keeps up the numbers he has, he will be in the top 5-10 of every statistical category for QBs. I am not sure he will keep those numbers up, a lot can happen, injury etc. I think the Bills will win a Superbowl with Josh. If he gets one and keeps putting up the numbers his career will be very comparable to Favre's. If he never wins one, he probably ends up just a bit better than Rivers, also a very good QB. Bottom line is this, going back to the original question, he is a fantastic QB. -

I don't disagree with you but the question was how good is Josh Allen. I think he will retire top 10 all time. Top 5 if he gets a Superbowl or two. -

Hes the 2nd best QB in football right now. If he keeps up the numbers he's a hall of famer. So overall, really good.- 293 replies

I am pretty positive he was joking. Otherwise, I hope he made it home alright.

Flags were flying half mast at the Tonawanda vs. Medina football game last night. Someone asked me if it was in honor of Suzanne Sommers. I said, I don't think any flag was ever at half mast around Suzanne Sommers.

I get it. I don't recall the play call to Shakir but down, distance and part of the field it occurred on plays into how people view it. Just playing devils advocate.

Bill Belichick has 1 playoff win in 10 years without Brady. He was on his way to being fired in New England before Bledsoe went down and Brady took over. He's 85-90 without Brady. His winning percentage is .485 without Brady. Thats worse than Jack Del Rio, Wayne Fontes, Mike Tice, and Dave Wannstedt. He's made the playoffs 2 of 10 years without Brady. If you really want to give up a 49 year old head coach for a guy who will be 72 next year, and hasnt shown he is half the coach McDermott is without Tom Brady, I'd say you were the type to make irrational decisions based on emotions alone. Tom Coughlin won 2 Superbowls. He's only 77 maybe we can bring him back? Joe Gibbs has 3 Superbowls, only 82, lets see what he is up to. If all else fails, we could just Weekend at Bernie's Bill Walsh. I suspect just his presence can will the Bills to the Superbowl.

Everyone here knows its incredibly hard to win a Super Bowl right? 11 Coaches have won a Super Bowl in the last 20 years in the NFL. So you guys want to fire the best coach in Bills history if the team doesnt get to the AFC Championship Game? Should the Ravens fire John Harbaugh? Sure he won a Superbowl, but that was 2012. He's missed the playoffs 6 of 10 years since, and hasnt made it past the divisional round in 10 years. Is anyone going to argue John Harbaugh is a bad football coach? Bottom line is you have to be in the playoffs to win championships and our current head coach has missed the playoffs 1 time in 6 years. If McDermott were to be fired he'd have another head coaching job this offseason. For the people calling Mcdemott Marvin Lewis, stop, you're making yourself look like a fool. Lewis has a .511 career winning percentage, and never won a playoff game. That dude got 16 years, and you guys are trying to fire McDermott, a guy with the best winning percentage in Bills history, and 4 playoff wins in 6 years, because you dont like that he claps a lot or because Daboll is more fun. Top ten defense in 4 of 7 years. Top ten offense in 4 of 7 years. Brought your team a franchise QB. Wins constantly. Stop with the fire McDermott nonsense. You dont fire a proven winner for an up and coming coordinator. I suspect you guys all want someone more like Kyle Shanahan? The guy who has lost more games than McDermott? The offensive genius who has made it one round further than McDermott and still lost? The guy who who has missed the playoffs 3 of 6 years? Guess what, Kyle Shanhan was never coming to Buffalo. Do you know why? Because before Mcdermott and Beane the Bills were a trash franchise who had to hire guys like Dick Jauron and Chan Gailey because real coaches didnt want to come here. Please for the love of God, put a little respect on McDermott's name instead of constantly complaining. He brought this franchise back to legitimacy. The people complaining about McDermott are the type of guys who marry a supermodel and then complain about her one leg being longer than the other. Please stop.

is two deep the blueprint on how to beat the Bills?
thenorthremembers replied to Coldfronts's topic in The Stadium Wall
I mean this is nothing new. Teams started using two deep against both the Bills and Chiefs close to two years ago. Its the recipe when Josh plays hero ball and forces it. Its not when he relies on underneath routes. Two deep isn't some mystery that can't be solved. -
My issue with Dorsey right now isn't so much the schemes but how he uses them. It was especially evident during the Giants game. Run, Run, Run or Pass, Pass, Pass. Need more motion, more misdirection. Love to see a jet sweep here or there. I will say the play call on the Harty touchdown was brilliant. Still early and overall the offense has been good.

I don't even know where to begin with this one.

Use to sneak his own bottles into clubs. Hit someone while driving drunk then hides from the police. Post playing career actively calls kids p@$$ies at a football camp. Dude is a complete moron who people love because he comes across funny. He isn't funny, just an old child who never grew up. Very lucky he was good at football. How many players have come through Buffalo, of all colors, who have never had an issue with the police? Something tells me Marshawn had more to do with it than he is letting on.

McD and Daboll hate each other probably 🤣
thenorthremembers replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Say your McDermott and the team you helped build is the reason Daboll is getting serious head coaching consideration. Then the Flores report comes out that Daboll doesn't like you, most likely because you did your job and told him what you needed to see from the offense. Would you have a lot of respect for the guy? I get the sense that Daboll is a guy whod be cool to have a beer with. But not necessarily the type of guy with oodles of maturity. Love Daboll as a play schemer. But I am going with McDermott in this one. -
In retrospect, was letting McKenzie go a mistake?
thenorthremembers replied to ChicagoRic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Mckenzie sealed his fate by running off at the mouth about the coaching staff. He was way too loose lipped for a guy who could be so easily replaced. Currently has 5 catchers for 39 yards to Hartys 12/103. Harty isn't being used the same way Lil Dirty was but I wouldn't say he isn't as good. Neither guy is someone the Bills wouldn't be able to replace. -
Salah is beginning to irritate me
thenorthremembers replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
I know a lot of people here don't like McDermott but there is something about being humble. Saleh jumping on top of the dog pile his team made in the endzone after week 1 was all I need to see. Celebrate with your team in the locker room fine, but as a coach have some class on the field. -
To me it looks like serving God has done just fine for McDermott.

Its like Josh said in his post game, Diggs is the 1st read in most progressions, if he is open, which he is most of the time, he is going to throw it. The Bills have a serious offensive weapon problem. Until someone steps up and shows they can hold onto the damn ball then Diggs is going to get the targets. I really don't want to be that guy but when I watch the Eagles, 49ers, and Dolphins I can't believe the amount of talent they have on offense compared to the Bills.

He is a classless dbag. He's shown that quite a bit in his time in NY. He's Rex Ryan on roids. -
