Couldn't agree more. I try very hard to turn the game on when it starts, turn it off when it ends, and only pop into local radio throughout the week. Especially on long weeks like this one listening to too many talking heads can drive you crazy.

The Raiders wont be any good until Mark Davis isnt the owner. Why he decided to hire both the GM and the Coach from the Patriots when he had 20 years of evidence it doesnt work is beyond me. Now the idiot has to pay McDaniels for the next 4 years when he already had a free cash flow problem. He has no idea how to run a football organization. Not sure what will come first, his bankruptcy or a winning season.

My emotional reaction and my logical reaction to this are vastly different.

I think it just more evidence Ryan Poles isnt good at his job. Gave up a 2nd for Claypool then less than a year later moved him for a 6th. Essentially traded a 2nd and 7th round pick for a 6th lol. Then traded another 2nd for a guy who averages 8.5 sacks a year with no contract control after this season. But refuses to take draft picks for a guy he likely wont have after this season. If I am the Bears owner no way I let this guy make the draft pick this year.

Its because people have spent a month convincing themselves we were getting Davante Adams, Deandre Hopkins, or Derrick Henry. They get played by writers who dont seem to think Rasul Douglas will command clicks.

They didnt just give up a 3rd, they received a 5th back. They also get contract control for this year and next. This isnt Madden you cant just wish a Patrick Surtain trade into existence. The asking price for Surtain according to ESPN was more than the Jaguars got for Ramsey which was 2 1sts and a 4th. They werent giving up two 1sts for someone they would likely have to pay like the top CB in the league after next year. Bottom line is the guy wasnt available.

This is correct. In trade value they gave up a 4th for Douglas straight up.
