Meanwhile, over at Chiefs Planet....Keeping it classy
thenorthremembers replied to Peace Frog's topic in The Stadium Wall
A few idiots don't make up the entire fan base. Just seems like their idiots are a little more brain dead than most. They are the only fan base that has a documentary made about one of their superfans being a bank robber. -

Pretty sure both those dudes are in the band Slipknot. -
Michael Jordan and Josh Allen Share Similar Path?
thenorthremembers replied to Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
Jordan didn't have to beat another player already on his level or better to get by the Pistons. The Pistons played great team basketball and were coached well but it's not like they had Wilt, or LeBron. -
I like this hire more for the Raiders than I do the Aaron Glenn for the Jets.

Belichick believes Kelce is the Chiefs offense
thenorthremembers replied to PoundingDog's topic in The Stadium Wall
He's a killer on 3rd down because he doesn't follow the play call. He moves from open zone to open zone until Pat can get him the ball. -
AFC Championship Game Week Thread - Bills at Chiefs
thenorthremembers replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Both teams are going to find stuff to be motivated over. Those things only become stories if the opposing team wins and then mentions it post-game and the media runs with it. The loser never mentions what motivated them. Someone saying something in the media will not be the reason the other teams wins. That stuff goes out the door pretty quickly into the game. -
I'd say thats a little much. He's been the offensive coordinator for a top ten scoring defensive 5 of his 14 years as an OC. He's led offensives that have played well in the playoffs including two conference championship appearances. He isnt the hottest coaching candidate but he isn't a bad coach because of that.

Shad's kid Tony runs a professional wrestling organization called AEW. I use to watch it with my sons. We even went to a show last year in Erie. That said, his son runs his wrestling organization a lot like the Jaguars are run. They slow play everything pretending its not a problem until its too late to fix the issue. Runs in the family.

I think it says a lot about the fan base when we are surprised that a coach who has a .656 winning percentage in the regular season, and a has taken the team to the playoffs 7 of 8 years, had a good coaching outing. I understand he has had a few game day issues which have led to bad loses over time but anyone who has coached knows the totality of coaching goes way beyond game day. The guy is a fantastic head coach. Hopefully someday he gets the respect he deserves both locally and nationally.

The issue is way more nuanced than that. Not every January 6th hostage the Government took assaulted a police officer. Many of them had every right to protest the election results. To make a blanket statement like this is hyperbolic and only used to try and gain emotional response from people, which is the tactic of someone who has no real intelligent argument. The US Capitol building is a taxpayer funded building. Those people had every right to be there. They also had every right to protest. The police take an oath to protect the constitution. Aside from those people who were arrested for actual violent crimes, you would need to go on a case-by-case basis, many of the J6 hostages had both their 1st and 8th Amendment impeded on by both the Capitol Police and US Government. Two things can be true. You can support the everyday work of the police while disagreeing with or reacting to them when you feel your rights are being infringed upon. This narrative as a whole is a very convenient way for the news to direct focus away from the fact that the Biden administration thought it pertinent enough to give Dr. Fauci a pardon. Why did he need a pardon? 1 police officer died as a direct result of the January 6th. How many active and retired police officers died from COVID?

President Trump's 2nd Term.
thenorthremembers replied to B-Man's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
For a party thats all about identity you'd think the Dems would have a better idea of why you do things like this. He is trying to restore pride in our country. For too long children in America have been taught we should be ashamed of being American. Having pride in your country builds strength and character. Little things like this are part of that process. -
Young Men Struggling
thenorthremembers replied to Another Fan's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
This is what happens when you make a mockery of the family and a father's role in the family. Rise in fatherless homes and a father's interest in raising their children. Add to that the prolonged adolescence of both women and men in their 30 and 40s and you have an absolute recipe for disaster. People pop out kids and rather than taking an interest in them they go on a path to "find themselves" because their marriage and kids destroyed their "identities." We live in the most self centered society in history and our kids are paying for it dearly. -
The morning show has been crap since Howard retired. Listened this morning and heard them making excuses for Lamar. Let the Baltimore media make excuses for Lamar.

Houstons offensive line is old and out of shape. -
When my now college age daughter was in her teens I literally asked for prayers at Bible study. Now my oldest son is going through it. He is less sensitive but is light years beyond her in the prideful and stubborn department.

Some quick and dirty Carl Cheffers' stats as it relates to this game. He was the ref when the Bills beat the Ravens during the COVID playoffs. He has done 3 Bills' playoff games, the Bills only loss over that span is the home loss to the Bengals.

Funny you bring up Hamilton. Big time favorite in my house. I think my kids know every word of every song. I love being a Dad but you nailed it...not for the faint of heart.

In the past I've been hard him for this. That said, the older I get the more I realize how hard parenting is. So far so good with me, but I only have one out of the house and in college. Still have a long way to go. I also cant imagine the pain of losing a child.

Marcell Dareus Arrested in Alabama on DV Charges
thenorthremembers replied to HurlyBurly51's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cool story bro. He was and continues to be a complete idiot. Let me go grab a tiny violin for the millionaire who wasn't happy. My dislike of the guy goes well beyond not liking Buffalo. It has to do with him bringing his own alcohol with him to bars, hitting a pedestrian while driving drunk and then hiding from the police. He continues to be a complete jerk by calling kids nasty things at his football camps. But guys like you give him a free pass because he is a clown who eats skittles. I have no empathy for any player who comes here and cries about the city being small. Buffalo was plenty good enough for Marshawn. Marshawn wasnt good enough for Buffalo. As far of him thinking about me. Nothing gets by you brother. Really need to change that username from Dopey to the Obvious Guru. When people stand up for a guy like Marshawn it shows just a bit of their own character. -

Would you ever Bet Against the Bills?
thenorthremembers replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
I bet against them in the divisional round last year. If I am being honest the money made the loss sting less. Am I proud of it? Not really.
