  1. I wasn't specifically referring to Moore. Was more of an advocate for them signing Bradford. However, I did watch a QB go 5-18 for 24 yards and 2 picks yesterday, so I would argue even Matt Moore would be an on the field upgrade. They weren't prepared to start Allen and they weren't prepared to support the ability not to start him. Thats hubris.
  2. Quarterbacks Id sign before Kap Mark Sanchez, Derek Anderson, Matt Moore, Landry Jones, and Sonny Jurgenson.
  3. I don't disagree with you. They needed to go all out to get a guy. However, the point was about the blow outs. They get blown out because they lack talent in important areas of the field. They stunk at Qb and DE last year. They stink at QB (until/unless Allen develops,) and DE this year. How anyone looked at the roster and didn't think they'd be in the running for the 1st pick is beyond me. It's as easy as looking at the qb situation and Buffalo's was clearly three or four worst. They needed to sign a veteran with real game experience and didnt.
  4. Not rocket science. They are unbelievably bad at the two most important things in football, Quarterback and hitting the opposing Quarterback. McBeane can overcomplicate things as much as they want, call it a process, talk about hard work and culture, but until they draft a beast Defensive End or a player who plays somewhat like a NFL Qb they are going to get blown out. For a coach who relies so much on pressure from his front four, you'd think he'd be a little bit more interested in gifted athletic defensive lineman and less in "high motors"
  5. Van Pelt is kind of an expert on worst in the league type of things. The company he works for is the worst in their league, and the show he hosts is abysmal. Glass house there Scott.
  6. Its really kind of amazing how bad the line is. You need a LG, C, RG, and RT. At least at Wr you have potential. Line is a complete and utter mess.
  7. Not a lot of help in free agency. The giant sloth we currently have on our team may be the best option.
  8. I was actually thinking about Jeff Tuel cooking dinner after the game today. I thought, holy hell Peterman is actually worse than Jeff Tuel. And Tuel ended up on a practice squad after he left here. Peterman probably wont make a team after he leaves Buffalo.
  9. Drops all over the place. I am not sure how they'll draft an entire wideout corps next year, but they will need to.
  10. He was atrocious today. Drops, lazy routes, no effort. He didnt seem to care very much at all. Thought for sure he would have a turn around year if he stayed healthy because the talent is there but the heart is in question for sure.
  11. If you can get a pick for him sure. What's a little more dead cap and a little less talent.
  12. Which is why Belichick's win percentage as a head coach hovered around .450 before Brady. No super bowl wins without him.
  13. Darby is more of a Cover Corner though. Really shines when he is covering for Jameis Winston. I am ok with Harrison Phillips.
  14. Great Quarterbacks make great coaches, and teams. If Allen or Peterman turns out to be great, McDermott will look like a genius. If neither does, then he will be a defensive coordinator sometime between 2021 and 2022.
  15. For some reason I've always wanted to like Sullivan. But his post BN career has shown how crazy self important he is. There was a day when someone hired him fresh out of college and now he would deny someone the same chance? Somehow this guy got it on his head he is F. Scott Fitzgerald and people are privileged to read his writing. Bottom line, when he left someone else took his place. Just like any average Joe. I learned a long time ago, if you constantly find yourself at odds with people, it's probably not them.
  16. Better than the knock off Bills gear Tops sells every year.
  17. Hope this guy plays well this year because he has the makings of a future captain for this team.
  18. Statista Has the financials by year including overall value and revenue.
  19. Bills: B Probably a little early. I dont blame them for Whaley as I think they slow played things at first to get a better idea of what they were doing as owners. Record wise the Bills are 33-31 since the Pegula's took over, and made the playoffs for the first time in 17 years. Additionally, and this doesnt show on the field per se, but the monetary growth of the Bills over the three years prior to the Pegula's taking over was 5.3 Million a year. Since they have taken over the teams value has grown on average by 33 Million a year. I honestly think they are doing a hell of a job. Sabres: D I honestly should have went C here. The product on the ice has been beyond bad. You cant justify a 34% win percentage, and multiple stops and starts as far as GM and Coaches. However, you have to give them credit for getting the Americans back and growing a pretty great farm system. In addition, the monetary growth rate of the Sabres when the Pegula's took over was pretty much flat. The team wasn't making money. The Pegula's have grown the brand very well, growing the Sabres value an average of 26.7 Million dollars since they acquired the team.
  20. General Managers/Presidents who should be fired: Bruce Allen Washington 56-88 Record, 22% Playoff Rate, 0 Superbowls Jason Licht Tampa Bay 22-42 Record, 0% Playoff Rate, 0 Superbowls General Managers who the lazy media created a narrative about because they are a Hall of Fame QB who Cant Draft a Franchise QB: John Elway Denver 72-40 Record, 71% Playoff Rate, 2 Superbowls. If the Broncos have any common sense they will allow Elway to stick around and hire one more coach. The hit rate for Quarterbacks drafted between 2004-2015 is around 11%, so he gets a bit of a pass there in my book. However, his coaching choice this time around was pretty bad.
  21. Call it what you want, but GMs get judged on drafting, free agents, and winning. And when half the players you draft are off your roster within three years it's a bad look. Whaley wasn't good at drafting, was below average in signing free agents, made one easy trade and the team was 42-54 while he was part of the organization. Maybe he needed a few more Pat DiMarcos on his team and a few less Percy Harvins. Not for nothing, the Bills are paying DiMarco 4,200,000 for 2017 and 2018. Whaley paid Jerome Felton 5,182,441 over a two year period. So if your complaint is about full backs you need to expand your scope of blame.
  22. Football Reference It's all on the site above. Have to search by team and look at the draft history. I took a look at the sites and determined status of each player from the stated time period. I didn't export to excel or word though.
  23. 50% may be above average over a longer time span but for the Bills to have 50% of the players they drafted over the last three years (not counting 2018) be completely out of the league is a very telling stat for Whaley's time here. Not going to look at every team, but in the AFC alone, in the same time period the Dolphins are at 82%, Jets 86%, and Patriots 63%. That puts the Bills well below the average.
  24. Nobody runs a "fumblerooski." Fake News.
