  1. He missed close to an entire season of games with injuries. He also missed a game with the Rams with a concussion, so he didnt play the entire season. He was available in less than 80% of the games he played for the Bills. My bigger issue with Sammy is his hype is no where near his production, and he has proved that since he left.
  2. This. Adding to the fact that Benoit asserts Allen has a robust arm on deep passes, when he has yet to complete one. Guess the guy needed to fill his article quota but he isnt exactly coming off as in depth.
  3. Joe Flacco, Alex Smith, Eli Manning, and Ryan Tannehill all were worse than Allen in their first four starts. Russell Wilson and Phillip Rivers both had less passing yards in their first four starts. Jared Goff had a worse completion percentage in his first four starts. Will he ever be good, I have no idea. But to say that after four starts is a bit premature. Aaron Rodgers wasnt even a full time starter until his 4th year in the league. Try to remember this thing isnt a sprint.
  4. Great great post. Life is way too short not to find enjoyment in the little things.
  5. Makes sense. I too am starting my mellow. Love the Bills, enjoy this site, but becoming less emotional about the games with time.
  6. You made sense until you said most scouts had him graded as a 3rd rounder. I wasn't an Allen fan going into the draft but not one of us here has any clue where team scouts had him graded. Oddly enough even the internet and tv "scouts" have changed their mind on where they had him graded depending on the week. Last week he was clearly the most talented qb in the draft. This week he was a raw prospect.
  7. So wait, you dont watch the team's games because of your very active personal life, however you find time to visit a Bills specific message-board to discuss a team you dont watch?
  8. I thought Mahomes was going to be a project coming out of Texas Tech and didnt want the Bills to take him. Thought Watson was the much better quarterback. In saying that, no other quarterback reminded me more of Mahomes in this years class than Allen.
  9. Its just a meaningless metric. A loss is a loss. It counts as one game regardless of the score. And the scores of the Bills games have been lopsided like that because the three quarterbacks McDermott had used have ever been completely negligible like Tyrod or rookie quarterbacks who aren't ready. The Patriots have lost by 20 points or more, my baseline for blowout for your argument 12 times in 17 years and thats with the best quarterback of all time. McDermott is a .500 coach who is likely as good at his job as someone like Marvin Leiws or Doug Marrone. He will be out of a job if Allen ends up a bust, simple as that.
  10. Do you happen to have stats showing the percentage other teams are blown out or perhaps a baseline of what constitutes a blowout? Otherwise this stat means absolutely nothing
  11. And still never won more than 6 games in a season.
  12. Maybe so. However I assume he was raised in the same house as his brother who has no problem understanding how to stay in the NFL.
  13. I agree. Feel like the teams that should be out front on this should be Indy, and Houston. NYJ have the money but realistically dont think they have the team to be one or two players away.
  14. I thought he was being sarcastic regarding all the dumb reasons people didnt want Mayfield in the draft.
  15. The bottom line with Bill and his "genius" is it got results less than 50% of the time until Brady came into the league. One playoff appearance in 6 years without Brady and a .475 win percentage. I imagine he was teaching the right way to shed a block then as well.
  16. If you can get him back on a 6-7 Million dollar a year contract I'd be ok with that, but he cannot be the first option. That said, contracts are going to get ridiculous next year, and given they are already insane for wideouts, I think you end up seeing guys like John Brown and Randall Cobb getting 15-17 a year.
  17. If he has a bad game next week will they retract that statement as well?
  18. If they go out and try to establish the run early you can be 100% sure they wont have a fast start. Trying to run the ball is useless against a stacked box. If they dont take shots early the game will be out of hand by hafltime again.
  19. The part that concerns me, aside from all of these people being terrible parents, is what does she really have to gain from saying all this now? Regardless of the situation she gets child support amounting to 153k a year. In this situation she stands to lose the kid altogether. Not a lot of people are lying to lose 100 thousand dollars or their kid. What does she have to gain by saying this?
  20. Why are Bengals beat reporter even speaking to Preston? He was inactive last week. The only question they should be asking him is which way the crapper is.
  21. One of them literally called Khalil Mack a once in a generation player. Meanwhile its debatable whether he is even the best player at his position this year, let alone a generation.
  22. Lots of slapping going on. Great form.
  23. I get it, but most of this is before the season began. It took about two seconds into the first game when they stopped being overrated.
  24. I stopped reading after "overrated pass defense." They don't have a right cornerback, who is overeating them? This guy is bitter. Wont bother clicking the link next time.
  25. Breeland couldnt pass a physical this summer. My guess is they activate Lewis and Wallce. Long shot is signing Leonard Johnson.
