He missed OTAs and Training camp with injuries. None of us are in that locker-room and have no idea how hard someone does or doesnt work. We also have no idea how much of the playbook someone does or doesnt know. This misnomer that he was some major contributor to the Superbowl teams in Tampa and KC is nonsense. He didnt start on the Tampa Bay team that won the Superbowl and has only ever been a full time starter once in his career. Only 7 AFC franchises have made the AFC Championship game since McDermott has been a coach. The Bills under McDermott are one of them. I think Bills fans fail to realize how hard it is to get to that game let alone the Super Bowl even if you have an elite talent at the QB position. Josh Allen is without question the 2nd best QB in the league, that said the best Quarterback in the league has beaten him 3 of the 4 years the Bills have sent a real contender to the playoffs under McDermott. @Ethan in Cleveland said it above Brady or Mahomes have been the quarterback for 75% of Super Bowl winning teams since McDermott came into the league. Going to need to agree to disagree but firing McDermott after this year if he doesnt make it to the AFC Championship game because Dr. Dawkenstein on Two Bills Drive randomly choose that game as what constitutes not being bounced early in the playoffs would be asinine.

Your "bounced early" statement is complete hyperbole. They've been to the second round of the playoffs or better every year since 2020. They havent lost in the wild card round since Josh's second year in the league.

I think you're underestimating how much scheme and coaching plays into NFL football. There are plenty of instances where great Quarterbacks had losing seasons because their program wasnt being run well. Don Shula had a run of 3 out of 4 .500 or worse seasons with Dan Marino in his prime. Jim Mora had losing seasons in 50% of his time with Peyton Manning. Wade Phillips was 16-16 with John Elway as his quarterback. McDermott doesnt get enough praise for the program he has installed in Buffalo, especially with this place being an absolute dumpster fire before he got here. I also dont see losing in the divisional round as an "early playoff exit" its halfway through the tournament. The Bills have run up against the same buzzsaw everyone else in the NFL has, the best coach in the league with a generational talent at QB.

I think there is a lot more going on with Samuel than meets the eye. I don't know if it's the injury, an inability to understand the offense or what but the bottom line is the guy can't catch passes thay aren't thrown to him There were times he was split wide to one side of the field and they went 2 or 3 wide to the opposite side of the field. When Josh took his progressions his head didn't even make it to Samuel's side of the field. Kind of a tough situation to be in because he makes 9 million next year and it includes nearly 8 million in dead money if they release him.
