  1. Burrow alone will be over $50 mil per year
  2. I know someone who was part owner of a MILS team years ago. There was an international player who had horrible teeth so they paid $30K for hist dental work and kept it out of the salary cap
  3. never heard of him either - it can't be possible that he is the best 87 we have ever had! Just looked him up - played in 1960 and 1961. RIP 2015
  4. For future reference, ESPY tickets are available for general purchase thought ticket outlets for about $75 It is not like the Oscars where you have to be someone or know someone to get in I have gone a number of times and there are a ton of players milling about before and after that you can meet
  5. Got six and donated them to Big Brothers / Big Sisters of Erie county
  6. A bit of a surprise that Elbert Dubenion is tied for 5th Just looked at his stats - in 1964 he caught 42 passes for 1,139 yards and 10 TD's - an insane 27.1 yards per reception The 3rd highest all - time in NFL History
  7. It would be interesting to see what the Avg was for some of the great QB's of past eras. One reason QB's throw so many more TD's now than in the 70's or 80's is that teams always ran the ball inside the 10.
  8. Around 5 years he "lead the charge" before the game I happened to be seated next to him on the plane back to LA and saw him showing the video of it I met him 2 other times once at the Rose bowl where he took a pic with my son Generally a very friendly and approachable person
  9. His most significant contribution was being traded to get us another 1st round pick to get JA
  10. On NFL.com it said "Bills put TE on IR" - My first thought was that it was Knox's injury
  11. That was the first regular season Bills game my Dad took me to - we had 3 pick sixes
  12. https://fanbuzz.com/nfl/tallest-nfl-player/ "the Cincinnati Bengals selected 7'0" Richard Sligh in an expansion draft. Sligh, who played for the Raiders in 1967, was the tallest player in NFL history." https://fanbuzz.com/nfl/tallest-nfl-player/ "the Cincinnati Bengals selected 7'0" Richard Sligh in an expansion draft. 13. on NFL network they said something along the lines of the rest of the leagues should be ashamed that they let JA get Dalton Kincaid
  14. Many years ago, the draft was not a spectacle - no tickets or reservations were required - and was held at the Marriott hotel in NYC I happened to be in NYC in 1989 at the time of the draft and just walked in for part of the 3rd round, just in time for the Bills to draft Don Beebe Was pretty boring as there was nothing to do/see between picks - no videos / highlights / interviews ...
  15. Probably because the best players are the ones who leave early and don't need another year to prove themselves
  16. One of his few catches
  17. He went all in a got a super bowl so he was right. The danger is when you do that and don't succeed
  18. was thinking the same thing!
  19. It would be interesting to factor in draft picks that were used to trade up (or down) by counting a given up pick as a "zero" I think Beane trades up too much and costs us a lot of cheap depth and often times those players would possibly have still been available at our spot It is especially painful when the player selected in the trade turns out to be terrible (Zay Jones, Cody Ford, ...)
  20. One thing I would be strongly in favor of is seeding based on record and not automatically giving a division winner a home game it is ridiculous that 9-8 or 8-9 teams play home games against 12-5 teams
  21. Will not happen since it is a Buffalo home game
  22. Not sure that is possible: the Jets had picks 4, 10, 26, and 36
  23. It is great to pay your up and coming QB on the cheap rookie deal (Hurts, Burrow,...) and fine to pay your superstar QB (Mahomes, Allen, ...). The problem is when you overpay a QB that is good but not great (Derek Carr, Kirk Cousins, Kyler Murray), and you are stuck paying them elite QB $ without the elite QB results. You are then in the quandary of "he's not good enough but there is nobody else out there that is better"
  24. I thought the same thing, but someone recently mentioned to me that is a penalty AND the time can be put back on the clock! https://www.sbnation.com/2017/3/28/15066542/nfl-rule-prevent-team-burning-clock-repeated-intentional-penalties
