  1. James Cook runs a 4.42. I eluded to him being fast, just not an elite burner that defenses will lose sleep over. The 4.8 mention was me using an RB to beg the question regarding "blazing acceleration", a term that another poster used to describe a Cook attribute that I don't see him as having.; would a 4.8 speed RB be tagged as having "blazing acceleration" regardless of how much more quickly he hit top speed than a 4.40 speed RB? Probably not. Speed and acceleration are two separate attributes, but I'm guessing elite-level acceleration paired with 4.42 speed would allow Cook to beat defenders to angles and pull away from them regularly with ease, I don't see that happening in the clips I watch of him (this and his inability to break tackles is why I don't care for where he was selected) and believe he was assigned an attribute solely based off his 40 time, and perhaps because we've been in need of a faster RB and the poster wants to believe we have that home-run hitter in Cook. I don't believe we do.
  2. You are making things up. He gets caught from behind plenty in the highlights I've watched on him. It's rare that he even gets the opportunity to turn a carry into a foot race because he's taken to the turf so often on first contact. He'll be a nice receiving target out of the backfield, but there's no reason to begin imagining qualities that didn't show up regularly.
  3. I liked Rachaad White outside of the 3rd rd.
  4. Okay, now I'm excited! Now I'm excited!!!
  5. I'll give you route-running, but what the heck is blazing acceleration? Do we notice "blazing acceleration" in a RB that has 4.8 speed? And then how do you define "suddenness"? (And please be honest) When I hear 'suddenness', I'm thinking quick change of direction; I don't see that in Cook any more than I do blazing acceleration. This is the only Beane pick since he's started making our picks that I absolutely do not like off top.
  6. I don't agree that he runs the ball very well, that's why I don't think he should've been drafted in the 2nd. He didn't need to be an every down work-horse, I just needed to see other qualities traditionally associated with really good RBs. I literally don't see anything outside of speed and pass-catching, and it isn't even blazing speed.
  7. I did not; I didn't see any RB in this draft as having a 1st rd grade. I was hopeful that the RB position would be addressed in next year's draft, where at least 2 RBs that I've given a 1st Rd. grade may enter. This pick bothers me because I don't think the FO would draft 2nd and then go 1st Rd. the following year with Singletary and/or Moss still on the roster. I don't like the Cook pick, but what can ya do?
  8. Not trying to being a downer, but doesn't he go down rather easily for a RB drafted this high? After speed and pass-catching, he doesn't have anything on Devin Singletary.
  9. WR/ Bo Melton - Rutgers
  10. I think if he's there in the 4th, the Bills should consider him. He reminds me a lot of Fred Jackson.
  11. I got the Bills drafting Roger McCreary as their top CB pick.
  12. Bills don't draft Breece Hall with the 1st pick, they draft OL (Zion Johnson/ Bernhard Raimann). Bills address CB position and draft Roger McCreary.
  13. If you say so. I grew accustomed to him creating huge running lanes for QBs to run through after over-pursuit of them, and grew tired of that. I'm almost certain that the over-pursuing of QBs added to those pressures in spite of the negative results.
  14. Hopefully this was meant to serve as an upgrade over Jerry Hughes and marks the end of his tenure, and the Bills' insistence on sticking with once-upon-a-time players for way too long.
  15. If he were to break your jaw, would that at least change your opinion of him being weak?
  16. Revisited. Addison had more tackles, tackles for losses, as many QB hits, and more than three times as many sacks as Jerry Hughes. Led the team in sacks. I'll say it again, the man's undervalued in Buffalo --- by a lot of fans at least.
  17. If certain Bills' fans on this board represent all Detroit fans, it's best that he threw it away. You know how the world is coming to an end when Allen throws one pick trying to make a play...well, that would've been Goff's second.
  18. I heard Christian McCaffrey has the highest RB rating in Madden 21... makes that much more sense now.
  19. Well, how nice of the refs to get it right this time.
  20. On behalf of the hip crowd. Da butcher comin'!!!
  21. I'm leaning on the side that believes this thread was created out of sarcasm.
  22. Can you even fine a player for an on-field play that they weren't flagged for?
  23. Always Eagle-eyein' Bills' players it seems.
  24. I voted! He's neck and neck with two other defensive rookies.
