  1. This could possibly be the first time this exact situation had ever occurred in the history of the NFL. So the odds of Punting is a verified scientific 100% success rate.
  2. I don't know how the players will think of the call or how much faith they have in the coach either hence the reason I wouldn't call it "gutless". For every offensive player that felt he didn't trust them to make a play there is a defensive player who wanted to make a play after the punt. (Which Tre White almost did) I could argue it took guts to kick it and that it wasn't the conservative decision, but the risky one. It takes big balls to kick it in that situation and hope the defense makes a play. I'd say there was a 30% chance of gaining a yard by the run when a 4th and 1 situation with our O line, the conditions and when they know the run is coming and you can't let Webb throw it in that situation. And if they called a run up the middle and got stuffed there would be 8 Dennison sucks threads. I personally think it was the right decision at the time. I'm not sure I would have trusted the team to get a yard ( and I think it was a touch more) in that situation either. There will certainly be times in the future when he goes for it on fourth down and he will get skewered for it too. Comes with the job I guess. And I guess it doesn't matter if the decision made turns into a win.
  3. There's a bunch of reasons not to and they were all shown after the punt. Did you not watch the end of the game? Did you not see all the reasons?
  4. Sure... The had to score a touchdown to win. If they punt and hold them then they only have to kick a field goal to win. It was easy to see the ball would stick where it landed on the punt so it is reasonable to think they would be pinned deep. Colton Schmidt is a great punter. It is also reasonable to think that the Colts would throw the ball to try to win so there would be plenty of time for a second Bills drive. The Bills defense is the better unit and they could force a turnover. There's a bunch of other reasons too but that should be sufficient.
  5. It was the right call and it worked out exactly how he planned it. That's why you all are on the couch and McD is on the sidelines.
  6. Ok. If you think Tyrod gets carted of the field in that Pat's game if the Bills were in it, you have lost your mind. No way he pulls himself out of that game. Once the game was essentially over he decided to quit on his team and got carted off with what ended up being a bruise. A !@#$ing bruise. That's a joke IMO, especially after it was HIS PLAY that was the main ingredient for the Bills getting beat. You can defend that and you can defend Tyrod til the cows come home, but if you have listened to McD for one second this year then you should know that had something to do with his decision.
  7. Look dude... You have 63k posts, copy and paste every single news related feed of the Bills, probably live and die by Bills football and I respect that. But posting stupid comments after any other person states something you disagree with is !@#$ing rediculous. Relax and get your **** together.
  8. I'm not so sure about this. Tyrod played over a half of football with this "injury". Then suddenly he needs A CART to get to the locker room? Tyrod being carted of New Era with a towel over his head with a bruised knee is as symbolic of an ending as I have ever seen. Tyrod knew his time was over for the Bills at this point. He would certainly be playing if he had led them to 8-4 or 7-5. He wasn't good enough to do that so there is an excuse on all sides for Peterman to start. It's probably better for both parties.
  9. There is not an OC on the planet that can win consistently with Tyrod, because Tyrod is, well, extremely inconsistent and not very good. Dennison has a valid argument.
  10. I would be lying if I haven't had these same thoughts before. Sometimes I look at his stats and think that they would be fantastic if they were paired with a real QB. Something like; Cousins: 18-25 230yds 2TD Taylor: 3-5 40yds. 7 rushes for 50 yards. Maybe catch a screen. I think I even had a dream about it. But then I woke up, realized there's no effing way that has ever worked and will never work and I disregard it.
  11. Ahhhhh.... The well thought out, logical, informative morning Thurman morning posts are my favorites on the board. Well said as usual....
  12. Lets be clear... It's not the way YOU would do a rebuild. And based on this post, thank God you are not in charge. If you honestly think the likes of Mike Gillislee, Reggie Ragland, Kevan Seymour, Goodwin and some dude named Lee are going to make a stitch of difference in the Bills quest to win the Superbowl then there is no sense in even discussing the topic with you. Those players are insignificant. Darius and Watkins are the only players that can even be in the conversation of being impact players on a championship team and were deemed replaceable for the money they were making or were going to make in addition to character issues. Spot on moves in my opinion. The rest of your ramblings about Bradham, Dimarco, Tolbert etc. are just that...ramblings. The reasons for decisions this regime are making are obviously so far over your head you should probably just sit back as see how they play out without trying to analyze them based on a game by game basis, week by week basis.
  13. I'd say almost every personnel decision has been spot on. It's amazing how folks see things differently.
  14. I think it's the other way around. There is no way to evaluate the WR's properly with the QB play in Buffalo. Peterman was deer in headlights 2 weeks ago. I hope he plays better in the coming weeks so we get a decent look at Benjamin, Matthews and Jones with a QB that will actually throw a pass to an "NFL open" wide receiver.
  15. He is a great college QB that most likely will not translate to the Pro level. There is a slim chance he is Russell Wilson 2.0 and that's why he should be drafted in the 3rd round like Wilson was. I'd put it at 90% 1st round bust if taken in the 1st and 10% 3rd round steal if taken in the 3rd. Simply not worth the risk IMO....
  16. Changing the culture, stockpling draft picks, first draft looks amazeballs, more wins then expected, in the playoff hunt, professional attitude, respected by team... Yep he's on the hot seat. ???
  17. He is consistently inaccurate by a foot or two on routine throws. It is not just that one throw.
  18. No way you can air it out on that last drive. You have to make them use their timeouts. Shady was terrible.
  19. Dennison calls play action... Dennison sucks.
  20. Dennison calls a run up the middle...Dennison sucks. Dennison tries to get tricky with a toss... Dennison sucks..
  21. Put this game in Tyrods hands. Let's see if he can win it.
  22. WTF are you talking about? The bills lose the chargers game with Brady under center.
  23. Please don't run rightagain this game.
