  1. Thank God for crazy Ricky Williams. OK, Trent. Time for a nice, 8 minute, 99-yard drive.
  2. That is the big question, isn't it? 3rd and goal from the 1 should be Lynch Country, as much as I love Freddy.
  3. Going for it probably was the right move there, but I'm not second-guessing Dick just yet.
  4. "Wildcat?" Jauron scoffs. Single wing can't stop the rage of Kawika M.
  5. Which leads one to ask how they can play the game, given that instant replay is provided for in the official rules of the NFL.
  6. And why would they want such an airless, out-of-date multipurpose dome that sucks up crowd noise?
  7. Can Roy Williams play QB or CB? Because, you know, that's sort of what that team really needs right now.
  8. This all seems so familiar. I can't help but recall how certain all the pundits were that Favre would remain retired before he took a trade to the Jets, that it was Minnesota/Chicago or bust . . . yet at the end of the saga, it was the team that wanted Favre most -- the Jets -- that ended up with him.
  9. There's an entire blog named in honor of it.
  10. Why would the team possibly want to "move to Toronto" but still play games in Buffalo and call the team the "Buffalo Bills?" The entire point of moving to Toronto is to sell tix at Rogers Centre, brand the team as Toronto's team, and profit from the much larger potential fan base. I don't think that they're looking to move their office staff to Toronto solely to take advantage of national health care.
  11. Skins absolutely pillaged the Falcons there . . . that was one of the worst draft day trades I've ever seen. Two 2s (including 34) and a high 4 for a low 1, comp 3, and a 5? And they picked a center projected in the late 2? Falcons are awful.
  12. Nah, it's part of what being a fan is all about.
  13. Heh. We can cheer for the Bears together.
  14. "January 21, 2007. Tom Brady's greatest comeback ever . . ."
  15. Actually, maybe it'll just be Vinatieri's first miss in forever.
  16. Terrific play by Mickens.
  17. Here comes the Vinny miss
  18. Could this be . . . a lucky break for a Pats opponent? Have the football gods decided to shine light on the Colts after all these years?
  19. Of course we're jealous, genius. That's part of being a sports fan. Hate and jealousy are as much elements of fandom as any other emotions.
  20. Hrmph. And here I keep hearing that Gaffney is a scrub that Brady makes look halfway decent.
  21. No one hates the Pats, and M!@#$s in general, more than I do -- and I'll be the first to agree that they are a phenomenally lucky team -- but they are quite good. And they don't need luck this time round, since the Colts are sucking out loud.
  22. So true. I can't wait to see the strategic interception-subsequently-fumbled-by-a-Colt that Brady is likely to throw later in the game. No one can execute that play like Brady.
